Boy 2 gets his first Dolphy tattoo

MANILA, Philippines - Just like a number of his relatives, actor Boy 2 Quizon has immortalized Comedy King Dolphy on his skin.

Quizon, who used to celebrate his birthday with his grandfather every July 25, said he may spend their special day at Heritage Park.

"Every time na magbi-birthday ako, before I do my own celebration, I would always go to him first. From there, 'yung mga bisita ko ini-invite ko na doon para libre ang pagkain at beer. Normally, we will just eat. Ang talagang mami-miss ko ay 'yung eating, kwento siya with all our lolos," he said.

"Ang lolo ko mahilig sa fireworks so kung papayagan kami ng Heritage na magpa-fireworks sa birthday niya at birthday ko," he said.

Dolphy died on Tuesday night after a five-year battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 83.

Earlier, Dolphy's sons Vandolph, and Dino showed their tattoos featuring the Comedy King's face.

Other members of the Quizon family are planning to follow suit.

Reporter tries to get photo of ailing Dolphy

MANILA, Philippines - The Quizon family appealed for respect after a tabloid reporter tried to sneak into the intensive care unit of Makati Medical Center (MMC) just to get a photo of King of Comedy Dolphy, who's still fighting for his life.

Dolphy's son Ronnie Quizon said that they have been very open to media with the condition of their father so they are hoping that people will also respect and understand their situation.

On Tuesday morning, ABS-CBN News reported that while Dolphy's vitals are stable, he remains in critical condition.

On Monday, Dr. Eric Nubla, director for patient relations of the MMC said Dolphy's condition improved after undergoing tracheostomy.

However, Nubla said Dolphy's platelets are still low, which could cause internal bleeding.
