Actress and one-time FHM sex columnist Juliana Palermo is Playboy Philippines’ cover girl for July 2012, the magazine announced on its Facebook page on Tuesday.
The issue features Juliana in two alternate covers. She is topless in both.
One was shot outdoors, while the other appears to be a studio portrait where a man’s two hands cover her naked right breast and stomach, while another man’s hand grabs her left thigh.
In a Facebook chat with Interaksyon, Juliana said her Playboy pictorial is the most revealing she has done in her showbiz career, which started in May 2003 when she appeared on the cover of FHM Philippines and was introduced as its sex columnist.
She made her film debut in the Tikoy Aguiluz film “xxx.com” months later.
Juliana, whose real name is Alvi July Juanico and is now 27, has been out of the public eye since 2008. She was last seen in the ABS-CBN series “Maging Sino Ka Man: Ang Pagbabalik” in 2007.
Now based in California, where she grew up, Juliana said she did not exactly do the Playboy cover shoot to revive her career but merely to show that she has maintained her figure after she gave birth two years ago.
“My son was only 11 months old when I did the shoot,” she said.
Although July is now on its second week, the issue won’t be released until next week.
