MANILA, Philippines -- Has actress Andi Eigenmann's blossoming relationship with Jake Ejercito been nipped in the bud by their parents?
Eigenmann, who has admitted to be dating the son of former president Joseph Estrada, now describes Ejercito as just a "special friend."
"Kami pa din ba ni Jake? Hindi ko po alam," Eigenmann told members of entertainment media during the press
conference of her comeback film "Pridyider" on Tuesday.
Asked if their parents have something to do with the turn of events, Eigenmann said: "Hindi naman po pinaghiwalay. Pero parang if we force things kung mahirap po ang sitwasyon magpi-fail and that's what we'd been trying so hard not to do."
"Siyempre po marunong kaming rumespeto sa mga nakakatanda, sa mga mas matanda. Mas wise po sila at alam nila ang makakabuti sa amin," Eigenmann added.
"So, ngayon po basta ako he's special to me and he will always be. I don't know if I'm special to him," she added.
Last week, Eigenmann via Twitter shared images showing her with Ejercito, as well as with her baby Adrianna Gabrielle, her daughter with actor Albie Casino.
The 22-year-old actress' tweets have been viewed as hints of her continuing relationship with Ejercito.
With all the pains and heartbreaks caused by intrigues during the early stages of her pregnancy, Eigenmann said she's now wiser when it comes to love.
"I learned from my mistakes. Pero ngayon wala akong boyfriend kaya hindi masusundan si Ellie," she said.
Apart from "Pridyider," Eigenmann is also busy with her primetime TV series "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan."
