MANILA, Philippines – Nine months after his controversial break-up with actress KC Concepcion, actor Piolo Pascual said he is still hoping that someone will come into his life in the next five years before he reaches the age of 40.
In the September issue of YES! Magazine, Pascual said he wants to spend the rest of his life with someone who loves God as much as he does.
“Gusto ko pareho kami ng faith. Gusto ko kung gaano ko kamahal ang Diyos, ganun din niya kamahal ang Diyos. 'Yon lang, then bahala na ang Diyos sa ibang bagay. Hindi ako mapiling tao, basta gusto ko lang pareho kami ng faith,” he said.
Pascual said he does not want to grow old alone because “it’s nice to share your life with somebody.”
“I hope and pray from the bottom of my heart for the Lord to send that person in time before I reach the age of 40. I want to be in love. I want to spend the rest of my life with somebody, you know. I don’t want to grown old alone,” he said.
Pascual also said he wants to have four more kids.
“So five lahat. Pero sabi ko kay Iñigo, ‘Ikaw pa rin. You’ll always be the eldest. You will always be the kuya.’ Of course that’s his right,” he said.
But to do that, Pascual said he needs to slow down with work because it would be unfair to his would-be partner.
“Seriously gusto ko siyang makilala before I turn 40. That’s five years from now. Ayaw ko din namang tumanda mag-isa. But right now kasi, kasal ako sa trabaho ko eh. 'Yon ang mahirap. I want to get married, I want to prioritize my family, my kids but then, to do that, I need to slow down talaga,” he said.
While he is serious in settling down within the next five years, Pascual said he promised his son Iñigo that he won’t get married until he is 18 years old.
“I promised him that. Kami muna. Bumabawi ako sa bata eh. Pero malapit na, three years na lang,” he said.
