MANILA, Philippines -- After admitting his feelings for actress Jessy Mendiola on national television, actor JM de Guzman said moving on from his aborted romance has been rather easy.
Kahit sino naman kaya 'yun," de Guzman told reporters on Tuesday, when asked if he has moved on from his then-blooming relationship with Mendiola.
In August, de Guzman admitted that he "loves" Mendiola on the morning talk show "Kris TV."
But the Kapamilya actress expressed surprise in a separate interview, saying she "was not informed" of de Guzman's intentions.
According to Mendiola, the "Angelito" star later apologized for his statement, pointing to the lack of mutual understanding on their current status of their relationship.
"Siguro maganda na rin 'yun, para malaman din kung ano 'yung mga priorities, mga responsibilities," de Guzman said on Tuesday.
When asked if he was "hurt" from the turn of events, the Kapamilya heartthrob said: "No. Siguro [disappointed], kaunti. Nangyayari talaga 'yun pero wala kang choice kundi harapin."
