Flores will compete in the Miss Supranational pageant on December 5 in Krakow, Poland where an estimated 80 international beauty delegates will vie for the crown.
At her send-off held Tuesday in Pasig, the 25-year old Flores admitted feeling "double pressure" in representing the UK and her home country. She also wished good luck to Yvethe Marie Santiago, the Philippines' official delegate to Miss Supranational.
"Humanda ka 'day!" quipped Flores, who was also a finalist in the 2013 editions of the Binibining Pilipinas, Miss Philippines-Earth and Mutya ng Pilipinas pageants. "I believe I have the advantage because I represent two cultures, and I have the best of both worlds."
Flores is the first Pinay to represent the United Kingdom in an international pageant. She is also proud of the fact that she was trained by beauty queen maker Rodgil Flores.
Rodgil Flores mentored Miss International 2013 Bea Santiago, Miss Tourism Queen International 2013 Rizzini Alexis Gomez, Miss Earth 2008 Karla Henry and Miss International 2005 Lara Quigaman.
Flores parents, who are both nurses, migrated to England in the year 2000. A nurse by profession, Flores is currently taking her masters program in biomedical sciences with stem cell research.
