Opening this weekend: American diner Morganfield's

MANILA – An American diner from Malaysia is set to open its first Philippine branch this weekend.

Morganfield’s, which specializes in pork ribs, will open at Uptown Place in Fort Bonifacio on Saturday, November 28.

To celebrate its opening in the Philippines, Morganfield’s is offering a free half slab of spare ribs or a bottle of wine to the first 100 customers who will order their sharing platter.

Aside from Malaysia and the Philippines, Morganfield’s also has branches in Singapore and China. Its bestseller is a dish called Sticky Bones, or pork ribs baked and smoked for hours and basted with a homemade barbecue sauce.

The restaurant also offers ribs in flavors like Hickory BBQ, Garlicky BBQ, Smoked Peppercorn and Spicy Asian BBQ, among others.

Other must-try items here include the Pork Sausage Platter, Bacon-wrapped Meat Balls, Pork Ham Chops and Pork Shoulder Chops.
