The announcement was made on the Pokemon GO official Facebook page on Saturday. The Philippines is among the next 15 countries across Asia and Oceania where the game is being rolled out.
Other countries include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau.
The augmented reality game was already rolled out in the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Japan. To date, it has garnered more than 50 million downloads.
Pokemon GO is developed by US-based firm Niantic, Inc.
