Patrick Garcia vows to keep personal life private

MANILA, Philippines -- Patrick Garcia, who is expecting his second child this month, is intent on keeping his personal life private after the string of controversies that surrounded his previous relationship.

The 31-year-old actor told ABS-CBN News that he and his non-showbiz girlfriend have decided to name their baby girl Michelle Celeste, after both their moms.

The baby is due to be born some time in February, according to Garcia, who promised to be at the hospital for the labor. "First time to experience, that's why I'm very excited," he said.

Currently, the actor is overseeing the construction of a new house, which will serve as his family's home when they move in later this month.

Garcia earlier revealed his partner's pregnancy in late January. The move, the actor said, was a way of putting an end to rumors surrounding his current relationship.

"I'd like to keep my private life private from now on. I just want to mention about it (partner's pregnancy), para it will stop there and people won't ask and ask questions," he said.

In recent years, the former child star's relationship with Jennylyn Mercado has become a frequent subject of news headlines. He has one son with the actress, named Alex Jazz.

Gabby doesn't like meddling with KC's love life

MANILA, Philippines – Actor Gabby Concepcion maintained that he is not the type of father who meddles with her daughter’s personal life.

In an interview with entertainment website Pep.ph, Concepcion said he does not really ask KC Concepcion about matters of the heart but assured that he will always be behind her.

“Well, ang anak natin, kahit ano'ng pinagdadaanan niyan, kapag nasasaktan siya, nasasaktan tayo. Kapag masaya siya, masaya tayo,” he said.

KC is reporedly dating French filmmaker Emmanuel Plassart.

Asked if he already met Plassart, Concepcion said: “Baka 'yun ang nakilala ko noong isang beses.”

“Hindi naman ako matanong na, ‘What do you do? What do you do here? What’s your job? Are you serious with my daughter?’ Malay ko ba kung ano ang ginagawa nila, baka magkaibigan lang, ‘di ba? So, hindi ko na inaalam. Basta ang pagkakakilala lang sa akin, kaibigan," the actor said.

Concepcion said KC has not yet approached him to introduce her boyfriend.

“Wala, wala siyang sinasabi na, ‘Pa, this is my boyfriend.’ Wala namang sinasabing ganoon. At saka, hindi naman ako nagtatanong,” he said.

The actor also said he also doesn't mind if her daughter dates someone within or outside showbiz. “Basta ang importante, nagmamahalan sila and they are willing to make it work,” he said

For Concepcion, he will only talk to KC about her love life when she asks him for advice.

“Madalas na matanong si KC like, you know, ‘As a boy, Pa…’ Basically, kumukuha siya ng input. At madalas ko namang sinasabi, 'When you fall in love, you first fall in love with your heart. Use your mind also and, basically, follow your feelings, your instinct.' Sa buhay kasi, hindi naman puwedeng puro puso,” he said.

David Archuleta The Emotional Announcement We All Saw Coming ...

David Archuleta made a pretty big announcement about his personal life at a concert in Utah last night ... but to people who know the guy, it probably wasn't that shocking.

The former "American Idol" runner-up told his home crowd ... that he's ... (wait for it) ... putting his music career on hold for two-years to fulfill a full-time mission with the Mormon church!!

The announcement was pretty emotional -- with the crowd erupting in cheers ... and David breaking down and crying on stage.

20-year-old Archuleta explained, "It's not because somebody told me that I was supposed to do it, not because that I no longer want to do music anymore, but it's because it's the feeling that I felt that I need to do next in my life."
