US embassy closed on November 11
MANILA, Philippines - The United States Embassy in Manila and its affiliated offices will be closed on November 11 (Tuesday), in observance of Veterans Day, an American holiday.
Regular services will resume on November 12.
Veterans Day is celebrated every year in the United States on November 11, which is the day that major hostilities of World War I formally ended with the signing of the Armistice at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.
The U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Philip S. Goldberg will lead the American and Filipino community and guests in honoring the sacrifices of American and Filipino veterans at the Veterans Day ceremony at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in Taguig City, Metro Manila, on Tuesday.
Veterans of both nations will participate in the event.

will be closed to the public on Thursday (November 22) in observance of
Thanksgiving holiday.
Its affiliated offices will also be closed due to the American holiday.
The embassy and its affiliated offices will resume operations on Friday (November 23).
Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in the United States annually on the fourth Thursday of November.
Thanksgiving Day marks the beginning of the US “holiday season,” which ends after News Year's Day.
