Alcoa Strike


Alcoa Inc. Most heavy union hold long this deadline to negotiate a new contract covering thousands of employees. Workers are willing to go on strike if the company cannot come up with a fair contract proposal by Monday. In the meantime, Alcoa Inc. and the USW are continuing their negotiations. Negotiations includes health care benefits, work flexibility and compensation for those who are newly hired.

Alcoa spokesman said that the company organized salaried workers from across the country to run the plants in case of a strike.
