After tense American Idol elimination night, Jessica Sanchez thanks fans

MANILA, Philippines- After she was eliminated and saved by the American Idol judges on Friday (Manila time), Filipino-Mexican Jessica Sanchez took to her Twitter account to thank her fans and supporters who still believe she will win the competition.

In a tweet, Sanchez expressed her gratitude to her supporters and said they are the "best" any girl could have.

"I love you guys so much! You really are the most amazing supporters a gal can have. <3 Mwah! :*" Sanchez said via her Twitter account.

As of 10 am, Jessica Sanchez is a top Twitter trend with people from all over the world expressing their shock and disappointment that she was eliminated. They eventually breathed a sigh of relief when she was saved by the judges.

In a tense elimination round, Sanchez was called first along with Hollie Cavanagh to the show's center stage. Sanchez was asked to go to the left side along with Elise Testone and Joshua Ledet, where eventually they were announced to be in the voting's "bottom three".

Idol host Ryan Seacrest then announced that Sanchez had received the least amount of votes. She was asked to sing on stage, while the judges deliberated on whether or not to use the season's single "save" on her.

Eventually, J.Lo interrupted Sanchez's performance on stage and said they were indeed voting to keep the young singer in the competition.

Sanchez, who had never been in the bottom three and even scored three standing ovations from the judges in the past, had been among the names circulated around for elimination.
