Curtis Brooks was 13, the son of an American couple in Manila when World War II broke out. Dorothy, also American, was just going on 9 and lived in Cebu.
Both were interned with their families and hundreds of other Americans and citizens of Allied nations at the University of Sto. Tomas until the liberation of Manila. But they never met.
Decades after, during a reunion of the liberators of UST in 2000, their paths would cross again and the rest, as they say, is one hell of a love story.
