MANILA, Philippines -- Singer Sitti Navarro denied speculations on her sexual preference after being single for a long time.
"Hindi ah. Definitely not," Navarro said, when asked if she is a "tomboy" on the sidelines of a press conference for the local staging of the Broadway musical "Nine" on Tuesday.
Navarro, whose last known relationship was in 2009, said she is not necessarily "choosy" when it comes to finding a man, but added that she does have an "ideal man."
"Hindi ako pihikan. [Ang] ideal man ko -- someone understanding, with a sense of humor. I'm just a regular girl," she said.
"Siguro there's a problem with guys these days, to stand up and really pursue someone. I'm just waiting," she added.
In the local staging of "Nine," Navarro is among a star-studded cast including theater actor Jett Pangan and TV actress Eula Valdez.
Staged by Atlantis Productions, "Nine" will run from September 21 to October 7 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati.
