MANILA, Philippines - Female DJs from all over the world have been flocking to Palladium at New World Hotel in Makati City for its Pearl Nights.
I was invited by the dance club to party with their featured female dance maestros, Hungarian DJ Seherezade and DJ Miki Taka.
Palladium Pearl Nights
Palladium is a luxe dance club that is becoming a favorite hotspot among tourists and locals who love to party.
The club's Pearl Night was launched as a special feature which focuses on female DJs.
"We thought of coming out with an event to feature women DJs from all over the world. It's a unique way of showing Manila's party people that girls can rock the night...So Pearl Night was born," said Palladium's PR girl Vanessa Francisco.
DJ Seherezade
Vivien Seherezade Nagy is from Budapest, Hungary. She started her career in Hungary's biggest reality show.
"I decided that I wanted to work with something connected to music. I eventually decided to be the first female reality show celebrity DJ in Hungary," said DJ Seherezade.
According to DJ Seherezade, she likes clubbing with the people whenever she performs. The enjoyment of people gives her the energy to dance with them during every set. She also mentioned that her favorite DJ is the Filipino-Dutch sensation Laid Back Luke.
DJ Miki Taka
Miki Taka is a Japanese-American vixen who started as the official spokesperson of the Formula Drift car racing series. She later toured as a DJ for to promote the popular "Need for Speed" video game by EA Games.
Taka believes that female DJs should not be treated differently.
"For me, gender isn't an issue...Talent is talent, talent's got nothing to do with being a guy or girl," explained Taka.
Taka also shared that the Filipino people are very friendly.
"It's always a party here in the Philippines...I think many tourists would love to party with the friendly people here. In fact, I'm thinking of staying here a bit longer," added Taka.
Party On!
The vibe of the party was awesome! Palladium was jam-packed, and the DJs' "girl power" ruled the whole night!
