What makes Dedon Island special

One of the world’s premier furniture brands has created an island paradise in the Philippines.

No other resort in the Philippines received more global attention when it launched than Dedon Island. With recommendations and reviews from The New York Times, W Magazine, Conde Nast Travel, Wallpaper, Vogue Germany and other international publications in less than a year since it opened, Dedon Island is undeniably the destination to discover not only in Asia but worldwide.

Dedon, being the world’s premier outdoor furniture company, this doesn’t come as a surprise. When Dedon’s founder and chairman, the former German football star Bobby Dekeyser, decided to venture into the resort business, the world was curious about what he would offer.

“Utilizing only local materials and local craftsmanship integrating with the surroundings, dissolving the boundaries between indoors and out,” the island’s design embraces “traditional architectural style while thoughtfully incorporating the finest modern amenities.”

“This is an all-inclusive destination. Dedon Island was designed to bring you back in touch with yourself. No money is used here, no checks signed. Food, drink, massages and a vast array of activities and services are simply available to you, when and as you desire.” Herve Lampert, the company’s CEO, says on the site.

The rates vary depending on the season, ranging from US$450 to US$850 per night, per person.

Inclusive of the rate is the use of their private boat to transport you to a secluded sandbar, a sea turtle sanctuary, or remote caves covered by seawater at high tide.

There are so many other things you can do inside the resort, or if you desire to be more adventurous—surfing, diving, and deep-sea fishing—all you need to do is ask the staff in the resort and they will arrange it for you. And of course, all food and drinks you will want!
