MANILA -- "Pinoy Big Brother (PBB)," the pioneering reality TV show in the Philippines, will kick off its search for a new batch of housemates later this month for its highly anticipated fifth season.
The ABS-CBN-produced program will hold its first round of auditions in Davao. Separate screenings will be held for teens and those above 18 years old.
"PBB" hopefuls, who are aged 12 to 17 years old, can audition on October 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Abreeza Mall. Those age 18 to 36 years old, meanwhile, can audition on October 27, at the same venue.
Several more audition dates are set to be announced.
The hit reality show, which is based on the Endemol-owned format that premiered in Netherlands in 1999, has so far produced 10 "big winners" in the Philippines.
The upcoming season of "PBB" marks the 11th edition of the program since it premiered in August 2005. Apart from the regular editions, which feature housemates 18 years old and above, celebrity and teen editions were also held.
The last iteration of "PBB," its fourth teen edition, ended in July 2012. The fifth season of the program was officially announced in September this year during the finale week of "The Voice of the Philippines."
