Red Ribbon opens 250th branch

MANILA,Philippines - Red Ribbon opened its 250th branch in Tagbilaran, Bohol last month.

It's been 34 years since the first Red Ribbon opened in Timog, Quezon City in 1979.

"We are thrilled with the opening of our 250th Red Ribbon store. Our cakes have become a tradition – an essential part of every Filipino family’s celebration, may it be birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The opening of this store is truly a milestone. It goes to show just how much trust the Filipinos have given us," said Zinnia Rivera, General Manager of Red Ribbon.

Jollibee Foods Corp. acquired the bakeshop in 2005, and aggressively expanded around the country.

Red Ribbon is aiming to open more stores around the country. "We continuously expand around the country and even outside the Philippines to bring our products closer to every Filipinos’ home," she said.
