Lakers shock OKC behind career-high from Meeks


The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 114-110, despite a triple-double from OKC’s All-Star forward Kevin Durant.

Jodie Meeks scored 24 of his career-high 42 points in the second half, while becoming only the third player to reach the 30-point mark this season for Los Angeles.

Pau Gasol added 20 points and 11 rebounds for the injury-ravaged Lakers, who had lost 29 of their previous 37 games.

Meantime, Durant had 27 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists for his third triple-double of the season.

Serge Ibaka also registered a double-double of 21 points and 15 boards in a losing effort for Oklahoma City. -- Report from ANC
