Mavericks send slumping to Pacers 4th straight loss

The Dallas Mavericks knocked off a second consecutive NBA heavyweight, beating the Indiana Pacers to hand the Eastern Conference leaders their fourth straight defeat.

Guard Devin Harris came off the bench to contribute 20 points, five assists and four steals for the Mavericks (38-26) and Monta Ellis also scored 20 and grabbed eight rebounds.

Dallas also beat the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

Paul George had game highs in points (27) and rebounds (11) but the skid continued for the Pacers (46-17) who stayed 1 ½ games ahead of Miami after the Heat also lost.

Rockets 118, Trail Blazers 113 (Overtime)

After giving the Rockets their first lead with a 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter, guard Jeremy Lin gave Houston the lead for good with his fadeaway jumper with 1:22 left in an overtime victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Rockets (44-19) extended their home winning streak to eight games by erasing a 12-point deficit entering the fourth quarter. Houston also claimed the season series against the Blazers (42-21) as Lin scored 26 points off the bench and served to compliment guard James Harden.

Harden finished with 41 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and six steals in the victory.

LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds for the Blazers.

Warriors 113, Suns 107

Klay Thompson poured in 13 of his 22 points during a game-changing third quarter, helping the Golden State Warriors run away from the Phoenix Suns.

In a battle of teams jockeying for lower-end playoff positions in the Western Conference, the Warriors (40-24) pulled three games ahead of the Suns (36-26) while at the same time tying the season series 2-2.

The 38-point period included a 16-0 flurry.

Gerald Green hit three of his five 3-pointers en route to 25 points.
