What is a torn rotator cuff injury? Doc explains

Dr. Randy Molo, Shoulder Surgery Section Head at St. Luke's Medical Center-Global City, said the keys to Manny Pacquiao's recovery is a good surgery, a very good rehabilitation plan, and proper training.

Pacquiao is scheduled go under the knife this week to fix a tear in his rotator cuff, sustained three weeks prior to the match and further aggravated during the fight with Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Doctors have deemed the surgery necessary after conducting an MRI.

Team Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz said the surgery will be done in Los Angeles. A statement will be released as soon as the surgery is done.

Pacquiao earlier said the shoulder injury kept him from being 100% during the "Fight of the Century."
