Harley-Davidson of Manila unveils 2016 bikes
Harley-Davidson of Manila recently unveiled some of the 2016 models in front of nearly a hundred Harley Davidson aficionados in Greenhills, San Juan.
The unveiling coincided with the 2015 Harley Owners Group (HOG) Rally that kicked off with their members parading their beloved bikes.
The new bikes that were introduced to the Filipino bikers were the 2016 Slim Softail S, the 2016 Sportster 883 and the 2016 Sportster Forty-Eight.
The Slim Softail S has a 1802cc, air-cooled, twin cam engine with a 6-speed cruise drive. The one unveiled at Harley Davidson of Manila was the military-themed olive gold colored bike complete with a star graphic on the gas tank reminiscent of the models produced during World War II.
The new Sportster 883, meanwhile, is an urban and street bike with new enhancements, overall look and color combination. It runs on an 883cc, evolution V-twin engine and comes with a tuck-and-roll covered seat and vastly improved suspension.
Harley Davidson of Manila also introduced the 2016 Sportster Forty-Eight, which has a 1202cc power train, 43mm telescopic front forks, nitrogen-charged rear shocks and improved seat.
''We're actually excited to launch our model year 2016 bikes. We're giving our customers our friends and families the first peek at the model 2015 bikes coming out,'' said Harley-Davidson of Manila Vehicle Sales Manager Luiji Lardizabal.
HOG members also paid their respects to HOG Philippines Chapter Director Rey Pineda, who recently passed away.
