Skarne, 22, is representing Sweden in the environmental-themed beauty pageant.
“My earth advocacy is combating the number one contributor to greenhouse gases, which is the meat industry, and doing so by encouraging others to stay healthy, eat more fruits, grains and vegetables, and reduce the amount of meat we eat,” she said.
Last week, Skarne won third place in the preliminary evening gown competition of Miss Earth 2016. Representatives from Russia and Italy won first and second, respectively.
The Miss Earth 2016 coronation night will be held on October 29 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Skarne is the daughter of actor Gabby Concepcion and former actress Jenny Syquia.
