Claudine denies guy in posts is her boyfriend
MANILA -- Days after she set her Instagram followers abuzz with photos of her with a man many believe is her new boyfriend, Claudine Barretto finally broke her silence and identified the mystery guy.
In her exclusive interview with “Buzz ng Bayan” host Boy Abunda, Barretto said the man in the picture, whose name is Mark Anthony, is her friend.
“He’s my stylist. He’s one of my stylists,” she said.
Barretto further explained that she meant no malice when she told Mark Anthony “I love you” in her posts’ captions because she’s really that kind of person.
“Nag-thank you lang ako at nag-I love you. Ma-I love you naman akong tao talaga. 'Yun lang naman 'yun,” she said.
Barretto, who is currently embroiled in a legal battle against her estranged husband Raymart Santiago, said that at this point, her only hope is to rise above all the intrigues.
Aside from her legal battle against Santiago, Barretto also has a row with her sisters Marjorie and Gretchen.
“When you have two kids who are doing really well in school, parang feeling ko… I’m just so blessed talaga. I just look at them and I say na parang nakakahiya na ipakita na hindi tumayo agad para sa mga anak ko. Sana pagbigyan ako ng tao na to be the mom that I want to be, that God wants me to be,” she said.
The former ABS-CBN talent added: “Sana maintindihan ng mga tao na it’s not okay to destroy people’s lives and it’s not okay to have a crushed spirit.”

Emotional Claudine surfaces in court
Court issues gag order on actress' camp
MANILA -- An emotional Claudine Barretto surfaced Tuesday at the Marikina Regional Trial Court to attend a hearing for the temporary protection order (TPO) she filed Monday against her estranged husband, actor Raymart Santiago.
The 34-year-old actress was accompanied to the venue by her sister, Mitchie, and her legal counsel, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.
The "Mula sa Puso" star, who refused to grant any interview, was seen crying as she made her way to the clerk of court together with her sister, as well as when she exited the building.
Topacio, who met with family court judge Geraldine Macaraig, said his client's camp had been issued a gag order, which disallows them to talk about any matter related to the case.
The hearing for the TPO, Topacio added, was rescheduled to a later date, which means Barretto's request to bar Santiago from being within 300 meters of her and their children has yet to be granted.
The former couple have two children -- an adopted daughter, Sabina, 9; and a biological son, Santino, 6.
Barretto earlier refused to give details about the TPO, including the reason behind her seeking the measure.
"Ayaw ko talagang magsalita. I am not ready to talk. I don't want to talk. I just want to be protected. I just want my children to be protected. 'Yun lang masasabi ko," she said in an interview on radio dzMM Monday.
Santiago, for his part, spoke for the first time through a statement released Tuesday denying "accusations" supposedly thrown against him by his wife.
He said there is no truth to speculations that he physically hurt his children and Barretto, adding he will address the matter in court "in the right time." -- Report from Ginger Conejero, ABS-CBN News

Claudine needs professional help, says brother
MANILA, Philippines – Joaquin Barretto believes that one way to resolve their family feud is to “fix” his youngest sister, Claudine.
In an exclusive interview with the entertainment website Pep.ph, Joaquin said Claudine "needs professional help," considering her current condition.
“Huwag ibigay kung ano ang gusto ni Claudine, ibigay kung ano ang kailangan. Get her a psychiatrist, get her... If she has a problem, she should seek help. Si Claudine, dapat mag-iba ng behavior. I hope mamulat din katulad ko. I changed my life. Now I live a good, clean life. It’s simple, but it’s good,” he said.
Joaquin admitted that he once entered a rehabilitation center, but he has been sober for eight years now.
Saying they have noticed Claudine’s inconsistent behavior over the past months, Joaquin said: “Claudine needs professional help—anger management or something. Her moods are unstable. One minute, she is so mad; one minute, she is so mabait.
“Ano sakit niya, I cannot say. Mom says Claudine is bipolar, manic, whatever... All I know is—it’s not the same Claudine,” he added.
Joaquin, however, refused to discuss in detail his sister’s “illness.”
“Huwag na, pamilya ko pa rin ito. One day, magbabati-bati kami. I'm praying for that. May problema talaga si Claudine, pero si Raymart (Santiago, Claudine’s husband) na ang dapat tanungin diyan. Hindi ako,” he said.
In a previous interview with Pep.ph, Joaquin revealed that Claudine was supposed to be in a hospital in December last year for treatment that could take up to 18 months.
Claudine, however, was able to convince her parents that there was nothing wrong with her, Joaquin said.
“The whole family actually, iyon ang talagang ano namin. They’ve [his parents] been trying to hide it. They’re all in denial. Na walang problema si Claudine, na si Gretchen ang may problema,” he said.
“You know, if there’s anything good that will come out of all this—iyon lang, na maayos na si Claudine. Kasi kung naayos na nila si Claudine nung December, none of this will happen,” he added.
Joaquin said that if only his parents listened to them when they had a meeting last December, they won’t be having this problem now.
“We were talking, my brother and I. Sabi niya, ‘Kung nakinig lang si Mommy when she called for that meeting, and we all talaga, we were firm, wala, all of this wouldn’t have happened,’” he said.
Joaquin said his life has changed since he issued a statement defending his other sister, Gretchen. He said he’s no longer allowed to go to the condominium where his parents stay, which is located in Bonifacio Global City.
“I can’t even see Dad, and he’s sick. I’ve always been close to Mom. My life just changed. Nag-iba, nagulo. Mom daw said, ‘Tignan natin kung may mukha pa siyang ipakita rito!’”
The said condominium unit is reportedly owned by Claudine.
