Celebrity hunks flaunt sexy bods at Cosmo bash

MANILA – Kapamilya actors Daniel Matsunaga and JC de Vera were among the celebrity hunks at this year’s Cosmo Bachelor Bash at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on Saturday.

Organized by local lifestyle magazine Cosmopolitan Philippines, the bash featured a carnival theme, which saw models and celebrities giving the predominantly female audience a visual treat as they who flaunted their chiseled bodies and six-pack abs.

Aside from Matsunaga and de Vera, the head turners at the runway event included Elmo Magalona, Derrick Monasterio and Alex Medina who all participated in the annual bash for the first time.

MANILA - Controversies aside, members of the popular British boy band One Direction finally gave their thousands of Filipinos fans a night to remember.

On Saturday, the band -- composed of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson -- dominated the local trends on Twitter as they performed the first half of the Manila leg of their "On The Road Again" tour at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.

Many of the band's fans online, who were not lucky enough to score tickets for the concert, eagerly awaited for updates from those who did. It led to phrases such as "Harry Said" or "Apparently Harry" being among the most talked about topics online.

Other terms such as "ComeBackSoon1D", "OTRATourManila", "and "NOCHILLPHILIPPINES" were also constantly among the most tweeted phrases on the microblogging site.

Performing without star Zayn Malik, who had to take a leave due to stress, One Direction will again hold another concert at the same venue on Sunday.
