Gionee broadens product lineup

MANILA -- Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Gionee recently introduced the Elife E7 Mini and the Gpad G5 as the comp-any broadens its market presence in the Philippines.


 The Elife E7, which measures 139 millimeters (mm) x 66.2mm x 8.6 mm, has a built-in On-The-Go (OTG) technology that allows a user to search and open files by tethering to its micro-USB port. It also comes with free Kingsoft App, a must-have document viewer and editor that comes in handy when making changes on files during meetings.

The Elife E7 Mini has multitasking capability powered by an octa-core processor clocking in at 1.7GHz; with all eight cores running simultaneously that allows a quick shift from one app or activity to another.

In terms of shooting photos, the Elife E7 Mini also provides a clever solution to low-resolution front-facing cameras — a swiveling rear camera! At 13 megapixels, the camera can take high-resolution images in effectively all points of a 180-degree angle. It takes its imaging capability from its predecessor, the Elife E7, known as one of the best camera phones of its price range and life span.

It comes with Dragontrail Glass, an alkali-aluminosilicate sheet glass produced by Asahi. The glass is said to be six times stronger than conventional glass yet has a pristine finish. It is highly scratch-resistant, and it takes up to 60 kilos of weight to break a millimeter of Dragontrail.

The Elife E7 Mini has a retail price of P13,999.

Meanwhile, the Gpad G5, which being promoted by the company as multimedia device, has a borderless 5.5-inch high-definition screen and e a built-in Digital Theater Systems (DTS) Surround Sound, which was once limited to commercial theaters.


 Furthermore, the DTS Surround Sound is complimented by industry-grade Yamaha PA Dual Speakers found at the rear of the Gpad G5.

To ensure viewing continuity, Gionee equipped Gpad with hexa core processor clocking in at 1.5GHz, 8GB ROM and 1GB RAM. It also has a 2400 mAh battery that lasts up to five hours of continuous video playback.

Just like the E7 Mini, the Gpad comes with Dragontrail glass, an alkali-aluminosilicate sheet glass produced by Asahi. The Gpad G5 is priced at P9,450.
