6 restaurant deals for graduates

MANILA - Here are six restaurants that offer special deals for graduates this month.

1. Free cake slice at Banapple

Graduates who celebrate their special day at Banapple until April 20 get a free slice of the restaurant’s best-selling cakes. To avail of the free cake, graduates must show proof of graduation such as a toga, a photo or a certification. They can choose between Banapple’s Supercaramel Fudge Cake or the Old-fashioned Chocolate Cake.

Banapple has branches at Gateway, Robinsons Galleria, Fairview Terraces, SM North EDSA, Katipunan Avenue and Tomas Morato in Quezon City; Tuscany in McKinley amd Market! Market! in Taguig, Connecticut Street in Greenhills, San Juan; Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City; and Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa City.

2. Free sushi platter for graduates at Wafu

A graduate can avail of a free sushi platter at Wafu if he or she dines with a group with a minimum spend of P1,500. A valid ID or school document is required by the promo, which is available until April 15.

3. Free wings at Buffalo’s Wings ‘N’ Things

A minimum spend of P500 gives a graduate a half-pound serving of chicken wings for free at Buffalo’s Wings ‘N’ Things. The graduate is required to show a diploma to avail of the promo, which is valid until April 15.

Buffalo’s Wings ‘N’ Things has branches at Solaris One Building and Glorietta 5 in Makati, Solenad 2 in Nuvali, SM North EDSA, Fairview Terraces and Banawe in Quezon City, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong, and Commerce Center in Alabang.

4. Party packages at Cravings

Homegrown restaurant chain Cravings is offering customized party packages this April, just in time for the graduation season.

The Small Group Package, which is good for eight to 10 persons, includes Unlimited Soup and Salad, Baby Back Ribs and Grilled Corn, Chicken ala Pobre, Baked Vegetable Pasta, Rice Pilaf, a round of House Blend Iced Tea and a teddy bear as a souvenir.

The Big Group Package has the same dishes good for 20 persons plus one whole cake and free use of the function room, service of a head waiter, simple table centerpieces and two teddy bear keepsakes.

5. Rainbow Cake at B&P

B&P is offering graduates a Rainbow Cake, which is filled and frosted with fluffy marshmallow icing and decorated with sugar confetti. A congratulatory note may be added to the cake, which is available for advanced order, pick-up and delivery until the end of April.

6. Set menus at Casa Roces

Casa Roces is offering graduation set menus, which include salad, soup and a variety of entrees. Each of the four sets is good for 10 people, with prices ranging from P8,500++ to P12,000.

Set A features Sopa Molo Castillana, Mixed Greens with Fruits and Nuts in light vinaigrette, Fideos with Spanish Chorizo, Lengua in Mushroom Cognac Sauce, Grilled Lemongrass-flavored Chicken Quarters with Annatto Oil, Pan-fried Ocean Dory Fillets and Turon with Ube Filling and Langka Sauce.

Set B has Baked Fish Fillet with Roasted Garlic and Shallots, Barbecue Marinated Pork Belly and Chicken Adobo Confit as entrees, while Set C has Iberico Chicken, Callos and Fettuccini with Blue Cheese and Roasted Mushrooms, and Leche Flan.

Meanwhile, Set D includes Beef Salpicao, Chicken Galantina, Roasted Vegetable Gratin and Paella Valenciana. All sets come with a serving of steamed pandan rice (except Set D) and Sangria Te.
