Only 16 will make it to “Artista Academy” but over 10,500 aspirants showed up at the grand audition for TV5’s new reality talent search on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
And why not? With a total of P20 million in prizes, “Artista Academy” is guaranteed to make instant millionaires out of the two grand winners who will emerge from the 16 finalists.
The show’s promise of “fame, fortune, stardom” proved irresistible to the throng of young people with dreams of making it big in showbiz.
Bearing birth certificates that proved they fell within the 16-22 age limit, the auditionees lined up for hours for the chance to make an impression on the panel of judges composed of TV5 creative head for entertainment production Perci Intalan, TV5 artist center head Mac Alejandre, Asian Academy of Television Arts head Wilma Galvante, Regal Films executive Roselle Monteverde-Teo, and “Artista Academy” casting director Gello Jamias.
