MANILA, Philippines – Here’s a first: actor-rapper Carlos Agassi admits he is getting married to his girlfriend, Fil-Brit model Margo Midwinter, after proposing to her in his sleep.
In an interview, Agassi admitted that he is a “sleep talker” and proposed to Midwinter while he was asleep.
"Actually ang sabi niya nananaginip lang ako. Natutulog ako tapos kinakausap ko daw siya. Paggising ko tumatawa (siya). Tuwang tuwa. Sabi ko, ‘Bakit?’ Kasi nag-propose daw ako. Kasi sleep talker ako at sleep walker," he said in an ABS-CBNnews.com interview.
Agassi, 32, said he is dead serious about his relationship with Midwinter who is 10 years younger. The two will be celebrating their first anniversary together this December.
The actor-rapper said he even asked Midwinter if she wanted an engagement ring.
"Ngayon engaged na kami so kinukulit ko siya. Sabi ko 'Babe, do you want me to buy you a ring or put the finances in the album?' Sabi niya, ‘In the album na muna,’” he recalled.
Agassi is launching a new album titled "Kapayapaan." The album will be launched on ASAP 2012 on November 4.
The CD features 7 songs including "Pinoy," "Nais Ko," "Muling Tanggapin," "Get Down", "Freakin’ Hot Mama 1 and 2" and "Kapayapaan," which is the carrier single.
"Basically ang gist ng buong album is actually parang story ko and about proud Filipino. Kasi ang first song Kapayapaan is about peace and then with regards to me personally in order to have peace it has to start with yourself and your family," Agassi said.
He added that no matter what happens to his music career, he will definitely stay with Midwinter here or abroad.
