Jabbowockeez now a headliner in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nevada - The Jabbawockeez is now celebrating their 10th year anniversary in the dance world.

In 2008, the Jabbawockeez was America’s Best Dance Crew. Now, they are the world’s most famous dance crew, as the group continues to make their mark in the entertainment capital of the world.

"Everything is basically new from the choreography to the theater to the music to the costumes to the motivation of the new story," said Chris Style.

"This show actually has a good story line to it. It was more about of evolution of who we are as Jabbawockeez. Evolving from 2003 to 2008 to when we are here in Vegas in 2009 and 2010 and pretty much 3 years evolution of what we accomplished,” said Kid Raenan.

Competing with the Best of Vegas shows, the Jabbawockeez with their new show “Prism”, took it up a notch by adding more color to their outfits, and special effects during the show.

After the success of Jabbawockeez’ “Mus.i.c” at the Monte Carlo, the Luxor Hotel and Casino built an 830 seat theater especially made for the Jabbawockeez.

The group said that although injuries are expected, they manage to keep the show going.

"We still go through injuries regardless we are dancers and entertainers, but we got smarter with what we do as far as how we put our show together. Our last show is bang to bang dance material 100 percent but we got a little bit smarter creatively how we put the show together," said Raenan.

The group said that performing 8 times and 5 days a week is fulfilling and a dream come true. But, they too have their ups and downs as a group whose members are predominantly Pinoys and Asians, but they all sync as a group and move as a unit.
