Kylie Jenner sells $600-million stake in cosmetics brand to Coty

NEW YORK -- Beauty products giant Coty announced Monday a deal to take a majority stake in Kylie Jenner's cosmetics and skincare company, marrying Jenner's celebrity prominence with Coty's distribution and commercial prowess.

Under the transaction, Coty, whose brands include Hugo Boss and Burberry fragrances, will pay $600 million for a 51 percent stake in Jenner's company.

Jenner, the youngest daughter of Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, has more than 270 million social media followers and rates as "one of the most influential voices among beauty consumers globally," said a statement from both companies.

She launched the brand in 2015 with "Kylie Lip Kit" and has since added eyeliners, eye shadows, blushes and other items.

"I'm excited to partner with Coty to continue to reach even more fans of Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin around the world," Jenner said.

"This partnership will allow me and my team to stay focused on the creation and development of each product while building the brand into an international beauty powerhouse."

Coty described the deal as part of its effort to become a "more focused and agile company" adding that its global capacities in research and development, manufacturing and distribution, as well as expertise in cosmetics, would enable Jenner's products to thrive as a "high growth, digitally native beauty brand."

Coty Chief Executive Pierre Laubies said the deal "will leverage our core strengths around fragrances, cosmetics and skincare, allowing Kylie's brands to reach their full potential."

Shares of Coty rose 3.3 percent to $12.31 in early trading.

US sues ex-Trump aide Omarosa, alleges failure to file required financials

The United States on Tuesday sued Omarosa Manigault Newman, the former aide to President Donald Trump and reality television star, saying she knowingly failed to file a required public financial disclosure report after she left the White House.

The government is seeking a civil fine of up to $50,000 from Omarosa, who spent 11 months as director of communications in the White House Office of Public Liaison before her December 2017 dismissal.

Omarosa, as she is typically known, was accused of violating the Ethics in Government Act by not filing the report, which was required because her salary exceeded $124,406, despite several oral and written reminders from White House ethics lawyers.

John Phillips, a lawyer for Omarosa, in an emailed statement called the lawsuit "premature, retaliatory and yet another attempt to silence a dissenting voice."

He said Omarosa had not filed the report because the White House withheld documents she needed to complete it, and that it was "untrue" to suggest her failure to file was knowing and willful, as the complaint alleged.

Omarosa shot to fame as a contestant in the first season of Trump's reality TV show "The Apprentice" in 2004, and was one of Trump's most visible African-American supporters during his successful 2016 presidential run.

But she had what appeared to be an ambiguous role at the White House, where the New York Times said she was a difficult colleague and had been on former chief of staff John Kelly's "no fly list" of aides he deemed unfit to attend serious meetings.

After leaving the White House, she appeared on the CBS reality show "Big Brother," drawing attention for condemning Trump and his administration.

Omarosa also published a memoir, "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House," last August.

According to the complaint filed with the federal court in Washington, D.C., Omarosa's financial disclosure report had been due by Jan. 18, 2018, one month after she left the White House.

The complaint said the White House later referred the matter to the Department of Justice, and the lawsuit was authorized on March 17, 2019, nearly a year after Omarosa had twice acknowledged receiving reminders to file the report.

The case is U.S. v. Manigault Newman, U.S. District Court, District of Columbia, No. 19-01868.

LOS ANGELES -- Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian reality television family, on Monday filed for divorce from her husband Bruce Jenner, the gold medal-winning Olympic decathlete, almost a year after they announced their separation.

Kris Jenner, 58, cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce petition, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Superior Court said. The couple announced their separation in October last year.

Kris Jenner is the star, along with her daughters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe, of "Keeping up with the Kardashians," a reality show on U.S. cable network E!. They also star together in spin-off shows.

The couple married in 1991 and they have two teenage daughters, Kendall and Kylie, who appear on the Kardashian reality TV programs.

Bruce Jenner, 64, won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.

Jasmine Tridevil’s third breast makes her reality TV ready? 3 boobs get looks

Jasmine Tridevil is pitching her reality show to MTV and is expected to be on Inside Edition. The wannabe reality star has offered up a reason for people to be interested in her as she went under the knife to get a third breast because she desires to be a reality star. According to US Magazine on Monday, the woman even hired a camera crew to follow her around to capture how this idea of a third breast became a reality.

Apparently the third breast was part of a surgically procedure that Jasmine Tridevil decided to have done. The star was looking to make her mark in reality TV and came up with an idea that is seen at the circus. It’s also going to be seen on the show “American Horror Story” this fall as Angela Bassett plays a character with three breasts.

The Huffington Post is reporting on Monday that the 21-year-old Florida woman claims to have paid $20,000 for the cosmetic surgery to add a third breast. Looking to attract attention, the idea has really shocked most people. Trying to figure out how the star would have proper clothing and what she would look like in a bikini appears to top the list of questions people have.

There is no doubt that Jasmine Tridevil is going to be famous for her odd plastic surgery decision. The real question is if the surgeon who did the surgery should be questioned about the decision to put another breast on Tridevil. Done for more of a freak element, it’s hard to believe it has helped Jasmine’s confidence.
