Xia's Taylor Swift impersonation makes global headlines
MANILA -- Xia Vigor's impersonation of pop star Taylor Swift in Sunday's "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids" has gone viral online and has even reached a few foreign news outlets.
The Huffington Post featured Vigor's cover of "You Belong With Me" and described it as "eerily spot-on."
British tabloid Metro also picked up Vigor's performance and praised the child actress for nailing Swift's "divaish finger wagging," eye rolls, and hair whips.
New York-based lifestyle website Refinery29, meanwhile, said Vigor could be Swift's "long-lost sister."
Vigor placed third during the second episode of "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids," tied with Justin Alva, who transformed into Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. Elha Nympha was the winner.
However, it was Vigor's video that earned the second highest number of views on YouTube among the performances from last weekend, behind only Awra Briguela's impersonation of Daniel Padilla.
It even drew a reaction from popular American blogger and gossip columnist Perez Hilton.
Vigor first made a name for herself for winning the celebrity impersonation contest of "It's Showtime" back in 2015 as Selena Gomez. She is currently part of the morning series "Langit Lupa."

Myrtle wins week 6 of 'Your Face' as Mystica
MANILA -- Myrtle Sarrosa was named the winner in the sixth week of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" for her amazing impersonation of Mystica.
Sarrosa performed "Simple Lang," complete with Mystica's signature split.
She even became emotional after her performance, saying she cannot believe she pulled off the performance.
Guest juror and voice coach Annie Quintos praised Sarrosa for her "unexpected" performance.
"I am speechless. This was not something I expected, I did not expect this in my wildest dreams for you to go to Gary Valenciano, and... People don't know, ano ka talaga eh, mahiyain, and to see you do this. Kanina, may konting hesitation, pero ngayon parang, wala, nagpakawala ka na talaga. And I say this in a good way. All of a sudden, I saw a totally different person. This one I did not see a single Myrtle there, not one. I am just so proud of you," she added.
"Paglabas mo pa lang sa iconator kanina, pagnga nga mo pa lang, oh my God, Mystica na. Tapos 'yung pag-anong tawag diyan, helicopter ng buhok, ang galing, as in. I think the best of your performances. This performance proved na kaya mong gawin kahit ano," Jed Madela told Sarrosa.
Gary Valenciano, for his part, praised Sarrosa for her hard work, noting that it is not easy to copy Mystica, especially her splits.
"She did all of that for a few seconds on the floor na naka-split para lang mapanood niyong lahat. I want to encourage you, though, na that hard work, huwag mo lang gawin dito sa 'Your Face Sounds Familiar,' make this be a stepping stone para sa lahat ng gagawin mo pagkatapos nito. Good job, Myrtle, good job," he said.
Sarrosa took home P100,000 as her prize, half of which she will donate to Grace to be Born, a foundation that helps children and mothers dealing with difficulties during their pregnancy.
She got 38 points, followed only by Kean Cipriano, who got 24 points for his Silento impersonation.

"You got it. Your face sounds familiar, but your voice looks like mine."
Gary Valenciano, a close friend of Nievera, praised Nicolas for his performance.
"Wow. I personally feel na wala talagang makakakopya ng eksakto, kasi Martin, dahil sa lahat ng mannerisms niya at character niya bilang tao, kaibigan, at mang-aawit, pumapasok at pumapasok 'yan sa performances niya," Valenciano said.
"But this is how I remember Martin noong nag-uumpisa pa lang siya. Eric, I must say na kung ikaw ay, medyo, lagi mo nang iniisip na uy, parang pababa ng pababa 'yung mga scores ko, I think today you did something na makakasabi mo sa sarili mo na, I'm back. Mahusay.''
"Habang nagpe-perfrom ka, hindi kami makapagpigil na mag- oh my God ng oh my God, kasi katunog na katunog mo talaga si Sir Martin. Unang hagod mo pa lang, Martin na Martin. Wala na akong masabi, two thumbs up, Eric," Jed Madela told Nicolas.
Guest juror and voice coach Annie Quintos was also impressed with Nicolas' performance.
"Ako, hangang-hanga ako sa pag-transform mo sa sarili mo, kasi noong nagre-rehearse pa tayo, may mga lines na kuhang kuha mo na, pero may mga kailangan pang ayusin. At inayos mo nga, inayos mo nga ng husto. And I did see you go to Martin sa ASAP at humingi ka ng tips, at ginawa mo," she added.

You delivered it, and you delivered it with such class and success.
Jed Madela, for his part, praised Concepcion for always absorbing the personality of the icon he is impersonating.
"Ang napansin ko talaga, whenever you perform, talagang ina-absorb mo lahat, tapos 'yung 'pag pine-perform mo na siya, very natural, saka lumalabas lang siya, hindi siya mukhang aral. Parang ikaw na ikaw 'yun eh, parang mismong ikaw 'yung icon na ginagawa mo. Great job, Sam," he added.
"Sam, tonight, I understand, why they call you certain things. Artist to artist, I give you my respect, sincerely from the bottom of my heart. There are many talented people, not everyone is of the rare kind. You are," Sharon Cuneta told Concepcion.

"Wow, KZ. For this one, kung pumikit ako, ang maririnig ko ay si Amy Winehouse nga. And I'd believe, 'yung mga tao dito ngayon, pamilyar din sa kanta na 'yun, maaring hindi sila pamilyar sa artist na 'yun, pero nakita nila 'yung Amy Winehouse of the Philippines. Excellent," Gary Valenciano told Tandingan.

Guzman sang the popular ballad “All Of Me” and both Sharon Cuneta and Gary Valenciano said they didn’t hear too much of Legend in his performance.
But despite this, both praised Guzman for showing off his singing talent.
“Vocally for me there was more of EA than John Legend,” Valenciano said, “but maganda ‘yung narinig ko. You have great potential in music na kailangan talaga marinig and makita ng tao.”
“Yung boses, hawig kayo ni John Legend,” Jed Madela acknowledged. “You’re a very well-rounded person. Whatever happens, manalo or matalo, you’re going to go far. Maybe in the acting scene, singing, even the dancing. You’ll be one of the faces na lagi naming Makita.”
Cuneta said she’s already looking forward to Guzman’s future projects.
“After this competition is over, I cannot wait to hear your CDs na ire-record mo as EA. I cannot wait to see you perform in your own concert dancing and singing. And I cannot wait to watch you in movies. Kahit ‘di ka pumasok sa Final 4, may career ka na na matagal,” she said.
Guzman made the cut for next week’s final showdown along with singers Nyoy Volante and Jay R and comedienne Melai Cantiveros.

MANILA -- Kapamilya actor Edgar Allan Guzman surprised the judges and the studio audience when he transformed into comedian Vice Ganda on "Your Face Sounds Familiar" on Sunday.
Guzman performed the song "Kara Karaka," complete with Vice Ganda's signature dance moves.
Guest judge Vice Ganda, who openly showed that he liked Guzman's performance, noted that the actor was more beautiful than him.
"Nakakainsulto lang talaga kasi ang ganda-ganda mo. Walang bahid kasi ng kabayo ito. Bongga. Maraming salamat sa magandang performance mo. Maraming salamat kasi hindi mo binaboy ang panggagaya mo sa akin. In fact, pinaganda mo nang todo hanggang lumayo na sa itsura ko," he said.
Judge Jed Madela noted that it's not easy performing in front of the person one is impersonating.
"Ang hirap mag-perform in front of 'yung kinokopya mo nga 'di ba? I'm sure some of our contestants can relate to that. But, of course, to copy such an iconic person such as Vice, it's not easy. It's not easy to copy Vice. Pwede nating kopyahin 'yung damit, ikaw spotless 'yung pagkopya mo ng damit, the hair, pero 'yun nga, vocally, meron. Andun 'yun eh. In totality, the entire performance, entertainment value, was really tops," Jed Madela said.
"EA's going to get a very high score for me tonight. To have that kind of devotion sa gagawin mo for one number, doon saludong saludo ako. For me it was a great performance," Sharon Cuneta added.

Jay R grooves as Billy Crawford
MANILA -- RNB singer Jay R showed off his dance moves as host-singer Billy Crawford on Saturday's episode of ''Your Face Sounds Familiar.''
Jay R performed the hit song "Bright Lights," earning praises from the judges.
"That was a great tribute to our birthday boy. Si Billy is one of the very few people siguro in this industry who can sing and dance, and can do it really, really well. You know, vocally there were similarities. In reality, hindi mapapantayan ang isang Billy Crawford but you delivered, and you pulled through with your performance," Jed Madela said.
For Sharon Cuneta, Jay R's performance came "really close" to the real thing.
"Isa lang si Billy, pero you came really close to doing that. I think si Billy mismo, I think he'll agree with us."
"Para sa akin, 'yung face, talaga namang humawig, pwedeng pumasang kapatid ni Billy. Pero may mga anggulo, 'pag pinapanood ka namin dito sa monitor, kuha naman, hindi lang kuhang-kuha talaga," guest judge Vice Ganda said.
Jay R remains in second place with 176 points, sharing the spot with Nyoy Volante. Melai Cantiveros is the top scorer with 177 points.
