Autostrada executive directors Marc and Jason Soong unveiled the sixth generation Quattroporte before the local motoring media on Thursday at the Autostrada showroom in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
The all-new Quattroporte is equipped with a powerful yet economical petrol engine and a large cabin, which serves as the core of its design. The manufacturers also complemented it with a long, powerful nose and a concave Trident grille.
It also boasts of a 307-kilometer per hour (191 mph) top speed, which makes it as fast as most two-door supercars.
Speed and economy
The all-new 3.8-liter V8 twin turbo designed by Maserati Powertrain provides a new performance benchmark, reaching 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds and achieving a 307km/h top speed.
When it comes to fuel economy, the V8 Maserati Quattroporte has lowered both its fuel consumption and emissions by 20% compared to the previous Quattroporte.
“There's a lot of technological changes, especially in fuel efficiency... it has eight gears, so the fuel efficiency is very, very different than before,” said Marc Soong.
Traditional hand-crafted detailing continues in the Quattroporte’s cabin, and this has been added with even more interior space with an option of a four- or five-seat layout.
“What I like personally about this car is that it has a bigger room, bigger from the outside but at the same time it's still easy to drive,” said Soong.
