Like father, like son: Alonzo impersonates Nino Muhlach

Alonzo Muhlach re-enacted a scene from "Kuwatog," one of the movies where his father Niño Muhlach starred as a child actor back in the day.

Appearing on Sunday's "Gandang Gabi Vice," the Inday Bote child star told Vice Ganda that he knew how famous his dad was before.

When asked which movie of Niño he liked best, Alonzo said it was the 1979 hit, "Kuwatog".

"Kaya ko yung laugh ni Kuwatog," Alonzo said.

Then, he delivered the line, "Sige, kain pa kayo. Tutal hari naman kayo eh."

During the show, Alonzo also shared to co-star Alex Gonzaga and host Vice Ganda that he rides on his dad's back whenever they play.

"Me, I always ride on my Papa's back," he said. "Ate Vice, alam mo ang bigat ko."

Vice gladly hoisted the young actor and let Niño, who was in the audience, take a picture of the two of them.

Alex Gonzaga's book to be turned into a movie

MANILA - Actress-host Alex Gonzaga's book "Dear Alex, Break na kami, Paano?! Love, Catherine" will soon be turned into a movie.

Gonzaga on Thursday signed a contract with Star Cinema for the book's movie adaptation.

Gonzaga said she never thought her book about a break up will become a hit. The book is now on its seventh printing.

Yes, I wanna be a beacon of hope that's it," she added.

The movie adaptation will be written by Antoinette Jadaone, who is behind other films "Beauty in a Bottle”, “Relaks, It’s Just Pag-Ibig” and “That Thing Called Tadhana”.

Asked if she will be involved in the making of the movie, Gonzaga said: "Yun ang di namin alam.

"Natuuwa ako the main mission is to help young girls, heartbroken girls to learn from someone's mistakes and to remind us that may kasama ka sa journey mong ito.

Gonzaga said if ever she would like actors Luis Manzano, John Lloyd Cruz and Piolo Pascual to be part of the movie.

What was the high point of 2014 for Alex Gonzaga?

MANILA – With several TV shows, a book and a hit film under her belt, Alex Gonzaga has much to be thankful for this 2014.

Speaking on “The Buzz” on Sunday, Gonzaga said this past year has been an eventful one for her, noting that she did not expect to be this blessed when she returned to ABS-CBN.

[Sobra pa 'yung dumating],” she said.

Gonzaga said she always does her best in every project given to her.

Asked what was the highlight of her 2014, Gonzaga said: “Nung pumasok po ako sa ‘PBB.’

Despite all the blessings, Gonzaga believes the best is yet to come.

“For me, 2014 is very unforgettable and memorable kasi ang dami kong natutunan sa career, buhay, religion. But the best is yet to come,” she said.

Alex afraid to make mistakes inside 'PBB' house

MANILA - Actress-host Alex Gonzaga admitted that she is afraid to make mistakes inside the "Pinoy Big Brother" house.

On Tuesday's episode of "Pinoy Big Brother: All In," Gonzaga told Big Brother the reason why she feels pressured to stay inside his house.

So, alam mo 'yon, parang huwag tayong maging pasaway, maging mabuting ehemplo, yes," she said.

Alex was told by her sister and fellow "PBB" host Toni Gonzaga to "behave" moments before she entered Big Brother's house.

"Huwag ka talagang gagawa ng bagay na ikahihiya ko," Toni, who was also surprised that her sister is part of the 18 new housemates of Big Brother, told Alex.

Big Brother's first challenge for Alex was to borrow clothes from her fellow housemates.

For their first weekly challenge, the housemates were given the "Hating-Kapatid" task where they all have to do their part in household chores.
