Paulo finally admits relationship with KC
MANILA – For the first time, Paulo Avelino admitted that he had a relationship with KC Concepcion.
The “Bridges of Love” actor made the revelation during his appearance on “The Buzz” on Sunday.
During the show’s killer question segment, host Boy Abunda put Avelino on the hot seat and asked him directly if he was ever in a relationship with Concepcion.
Avelino initially hesitated to answer the question and became evasive. “KC and I are friends and I’ll always be there for her whenever she needs me,” he said.
Host Kris Aquino, however, noted that Avelino did not directly answer Abunda’s question, urging him to just reply with a “yes” or “no.”
Cornered, Avelino then responded: “Yes.”
However, the actor did not provide further details, especially on reports that he and Concepcion have broken up.
In one of his recent interviews, Avelino was quoted as saying he and Concepcion did not break up because “hindi naman siguro nagbi-break ang magkaibigan.”
Avelino also said he and Concepcion have different priorities as of the moment.
Meanwhile, Avelino shrugged off rumors linking him to actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
Last week, a photo of them in what seems to be a dinner date was sent to “The Buzz.” This triggered rumors romantically linking the two of them.
On “The Buzz” on Sunday, Avelino emphasized that she and Curtis-Smith are just friends.
“Jasmine and I are friends. We have a film coming out with Isabelle Daza. I just casually have dinner with friends, with co-workers. That’s it,” he said.

Diether Ocampo not paying his workers?
MANILA - Diether Ocampo finally broke his silence on allegations that he is hiding from the production staff of an independent film which he produced after failing to pay them.
Ocampo became a hot topic online when accusations surfaced that he did not pay some of his staff members despite their rendered work.
In a statement which he exclusively sent to “The Buzz” on Sunday, Ocampo said he is taking full responsibility for what happened.
“As the executive producer of Tandem Entertainment, I take full responsibility. There are matters beyond my control that led to this predicament. I will never run away from my responsibilities,” he said.
Ocampo said his camp has already arranged a meeting with his staff in order to resolve the problem.
“I treasure the people behind the project and I would not allow them to suffer. I assure the staff that I will give them what is due them,” he said.
Also on “The Buzz,” one of the staff members agreed to an interview but refused to show his face on camera.
“Actually nagbigay siya sa ibang mga staff ng post-dated check last January. Naka-date 'yun ng February 10. Pero noong 'yung iba nagpapalit na, hindi daw napondohan. All in all, siguro mga milyun-milyon ang utang ni Diet sa aking estimate,” he said.
While some production staff members were paid in installments, the staff member said there are others who were not paid at all.
“Yung ibang staff, hanggang second down payment pa lang ang nare-receive and the other staff, wala pa talaga. 'Yung mga huling pumirma ng kontrata, kahit piso walang na-receive. Sana as soon as possible, ma-resolve 'yung problema na ito kasi sobrang tagal na. Hindi rin naman kami ganun kayaman para basta na lang i-give up yung utang niya sa amin,” he said.

Why Xian feels friendship with Kim might level up
MANILA – Actor Xian Lim is hoping regular on-screen partner Kim Chiu will be his Valentine this coming February 14.
"Para sa akin, the best invitation sa Valentine’s is surprise," he said during his live interview on “The Buzz” on Sunday.
Although they have yet to take their relationship to the next level, Lim vowed to just continue making the actress feel special.
“Parati kong pinapakita sa kanya na nandito ako, parati ako nagdadala ng bulaklak or mga favorite niya, ng mga chocolates. Kung gumana 'yung pa-cute ko sa kanya, malalaman natin,” he said.
Lim understands that it is important that they build a strong foundation as friends first if ever they indeed become a couple in the future.
“I think to get a really good relationship, dapat 'yung friendship niyo matibay ang foundation para hindi naman kapag nandoon na kayo, medyo rocky,” he said.
During his interview on “Aquino and Abunda Tonight” last February 4, Lim gave a meaningful answer when he was asked if he and Chiu are already a couple.
"Nararamdaman ko, malapit na eh. I think lume-level up na ako," he teased without going into details.
Asked why he was able to say such thing, Lim said: “Nararamdaman ko kasi na—nasasamahan na niya ako. Kasi dati parati kaming may chaperone. Hindi kami pwedeng makanood ng sine. Ngayon sumasama na siya sa akin, sumasama na siya sa mga kaibigan ko lalo na 'yung lola at mommy ko.”
With a little more effort, Chiu said in a separate interview that Lim is close to becoming her boyfriend.
"Malapit na, konti na lang, konting push na lang," Chiu said.

Toni in tears as she thanks Paul
MANILA - Toni Gonzaga became emotional when she thanked her soon-to-be husband Paul Soriano for his patience during their seven-year long relationship.
Admitting that her top priorities have always been God, her family and her work, Gonzaga told Kris Aquino on "The Buzz" on Sunday that she was scared that Soriano might get tired of waiting.
“Nung nagsasalita siya, when he was going to propose sa akin, nag-flashback lahat from day one. I remember there were times na he would tell me, ‘For the past seven years, I was never a priority in your life. It has always been God, your family, your work and me… I’ve accepted that for seven years.’ I always pray to God, sabi ko, ‘Lord kung dadating 'yung time na mapagod na si Paul kasi hindi na niya kaya maghintay, Ikaw na ang bahala,’” she said.
Gonzaga said she feels blessed for Soriano's patience.
“He waited for me. Kaya sabi ko, if I become his wife, hindi na siya number three priority. I will make sure na he will only be my main priority and everything else is secondary na lang. I’d like to thank him for enduring everything, for the patience, for understanding and for honoring my parents, for proving that true love waits,” she said.
Gonzaga said Soriano’s unwavering love for her made her realize that she wants him to be the father of her future children.
“[When he honored my parents], na-realize ko na ito 'yung lalaki na gusto ko maging ama ng mga anak ko. He will be a good father kasi naiintindihan niya 'yung nararamdaman ng tatay ko,” she said.
Gonzaga and Soriano got engaged last January 21. They are planning to tie the knot this year.

Toni's 'Buzz' absence triggers engagement rumors
MANILA – Toni Gonzaga on Sunday skipped “The Buzz” due to “something very personal” which she refused to disclose.
In a statement read by co-host Kris Aquino during the Sunday showbiz talk show, Gonzaga apologized for not being present even if she when she was supposed to celebrate her birthday in the program.
“I am very sorry. I know it’s my birthday celebration sa 'Buzz.' I’m very sorry but I cannot attend 'The Buzz' this Sunday. I love my 'Buzz' family so you will be the first people to know why. I’m just going through something very personal and I’m really sorry for the short notice,” she said.
While she is also clueless as to why Gonzaga missed the show, Aquino said she does not think the TV host is going through something sad.
“I don’t think she’s sad. Sometimes, something personal is something you like to keep private for a little bit. But she said tayo sa 'Buzz' ang unang makakaalam. Sa pagkakakilala natin kay Toni, she doesn’t like to burden us with problems. The fact na nakalagay doon na ‘I love my Buzz family at dito ko una ipapaalam,’ ang interpretation ko lang ay hindi ito malungkot na balita,” Aquino said.
This then triggered some netizens to speculate that Gonzaga probably got engaged.
For someone as professional as Gonzaga, Aquino said the reason of her absence must really be something major and she is just hoping that she would share happy news when she gets back.
“Ka-text ko siya. Sabi ko, ‘Ikaw talaga naghanda ako ng gifts.’ Sabi niya, ‘Ate pasensya na. Promise next week nandiyan ako. Babawi ako ng bonggang bongga.’ Sabi ko I’m really just hoping na happy news ito. Tapos hindi na siya nag-reply,” Aquino said laughing.
Despite the speculations that her absence on “The Buzz” has caused, Gonzaga has yet to confirm whether she is indeed engaged to film director Paul Soriano, her boyfriend of over seven years.
Earlier on Sunday, Gonzaga was present in the variety show "ASAP" where she also celebrated her 31st birthday.
Her supporters are now waiting if she will also miss the live telecast of "The Voice of the Philippines" on Sunday night.

What was the high point of 2014 for Alex Gonzaga?
MANILA – With several TV shows, a book and a hit film under her belt, Alex Gonzaga has much to be thankful for this 2014.
Speaking on “The Buzz” on Sunday, Gonzaga said this past year has been an eventful one for her, noting that she did not expect to be this blessed when she returned to ABS-CBN.
“May mga pinag-pray po ako kay Lord. Pero kung ano man 'yung mga dumating, hindi naman po talaga' yun 'yung mga winish ko. [Sobra pa 'yung dumating],” she said.
Gonzaga said she always does her best in every project given to her.
“Kapag may binigay sa akin na trabaho, laging sinasabi sa amin ni daddy na gawin lang 'yung best. Lagi rin sinasabi sa akin ni ate (Toni Gonzaga) na ‘You’re only good as your last performance so kapag lumalabas ka, dapat binibigay mo yung best mo para maipakita mo na deserving ka sa ibinigay sa ‘yo,’” she said.
Asked what was the highlight of her 2014, Gonzaga said: “Nung pumasok po ako sa ‘PBB.’ Lagi kasi nila akong bine-baby sa family. Bawal akong mag-decide, laging 'yung kung ano lang ang sasabihin nila. Nung pumasok ako sa ‘PBB’, parang 'yung maturity ko biglang nag-kick in.”
Despite all the blessings, Gonzaga believes the best is yet to come.
“For me, 2014 is very unforgettable and memorable kasi ang dami kong natutunan sa career, buhay, religion. But the best is yet to come,” she said.

Ara Mina reacts to sister Cristine's pregnancy
MANILA – Ara Mina said she is very proud of her younger sister, actress Cristine Reyes, for taking responsibility after she learned that she will soon have a baby.
Reyes admitted that she is pregnant during her “ASAP” appearance on Sunday.
In an interview with “The Buzz,” which aired hours after Reyes's admission, Mina said she commends her sister because not all actresses are brave enough to announce to the public that they are pregnant.
“Proud ako sa kanya kasi hindi naman lahat umaamin and happy ako kasi matagal na niya kasi talaga itong gusto. Parang last year niya pa sinasabi sa akin. I’m excited for her also. Ang saya-saya, maraming babies ngayon sa family. It is a blessing,” she said.
Mina shared that her sister also experienced morning sickness.
“Nahihilo daw siya, nagsusuka minsan. 'Yung first trimester may mga morning sickness,” she said.
“Take care of yourself. Huwag ka magpapaka-stress para hindi ma-stress ang baby. Just call me anytime. Love you,” added.
Since her sister is in a delicate stage, Mina said she and the rest of their family will just support the 25-year-old actress in this “wonderful journey.”
“Alam mo naman na mahal na mahal kita. Nagkaaway na tayo, nagkabati na tayo per nandito pa rin ang ate mo. Kung saan ka masaya, masaya ako. I love you,” she said.
In a separate interview with “The Buzz,” Reyes said the pregnancy did not come as a surprise for her and her boyfriend because they actually planned it.
“Kaming dalawa ni Ali (her boyfriend) magkasama, nag-test kaming dalawa. We are happy kasi it was planned and it’s not a surprise. First test namin, morning 'yun. Akala namin negative pa so na-sad kami. Nung gabi nag-test ulit kami, positive na. After that, ang inuna namin 'yung family namin. They were happy and excited,” she said.
Reyes also said she and her partner are planning to tie the knot after she gives birth.

Daniel, mom honored as 'Yolanda heroes'
MANILA – Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla and his mother, former actress Karla Estrada, were among those honored at the “Handumanan: Pasasalamat sa mga Bayani ng Haiyan,” which was held last Friday at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
The recognition was for their efforts in reaching out to the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda when it battered some parts of the country in November last year.
In an interview with “The Buzz” which was aired on Sunday, Padilla said it is overwhelming when other people honor your efforts in helping those affected by the super typhoon.
“Masarap ang pakiramdam. Tumutulong ka na may award ka pa,” he said.
Last June, Padilla and Estrada mounted a free concert in Tacloban to bring happiness to those who were devastated by Yolanda.
“Plinano naming mag-ina 'yung concert para mapasaya namin ang mga kababayan namin and ito lahat galing sa aming dalawa lang talaga. Siyempre mayroong mga tumulong sa atin but this is a free concert para sa mga victims ng Yolanda all over Region 8 na gaganapin natin sa grandstand sa Tacloban City,” Estrada said in a past interview.

KC reveals Paulo looked after her in hospital
Watch the full episode in iWant TV or TFC
MANILA – KC Concepcion revealed that it was Paulo Avelino who looked after her day in and day out while she was confined in the hospital due to dengue.
In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Concepcion shared how much she appreciates Avelino’s efforts, noting that the Kapamilya actor has been very consistent in showing that he truly cares for her.
“Alam mo 'yang si Paulo, kahit kapag nakikita mo siyang rumarampa na ang lakas ng dating, he’s very sweet, he’s very thoughtful. Nung nasa hospital ako, siya talaga 'yung nag-alaga every night and day. 'Yun ang sincerity na hindi mo talaga mafe-fake,” she said.
Last week, Concepcion shared a video clip where she is could be seen singing Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” while Avelino was playing the guitar.
According to the “Ikaw Lamang” actress, she shared the video because he wanted the people to know how sweet Avelino is.
“Kasi when you’re sick, kapag naospital ka, parang ang lungkot. Parang lahat ng tao hindi alam kung bibisitahin ka or hindi. Siya, no questions asked. Talagang nandun siya,” she said.
“Ayaw ko na mag-deny. Pero hindi naman pag-amin ito. Ang sa akin, artista so kapag ganun, celebrity or nakikita ka sa TV, hindi ka pwedeng humingi ng privacy lagi. Nag-decide akong i-share kasi napaka-sweet ni Pau,” she added.
But what is it that’s stopping the two of them to be together?
“Honestly, we have our ups and downs. We are very, very, very close. I can really say isa siya sa mga best friends ko. Not to say na hanggang doon lang pero maganda 'yung friendship namin. It’s very real, genuine. Wala naman kaming project together. We are very, very good friends,” she said.
Despite this, Concepcion said she wants to make sure that her next relationship would already be the one for keeps.
“Pero siguro nandun din 'yung siyempre may anak na siya. Siyempre ako ayaw ko din mag-commit sa isang tao na—kasi dapat tuluy-tuloy na 'yun. Hindi pa namin napag-uusapan exactly kung ano 'yung meron kami pero you’re right, whatever we have now, we are happy that way,” she said.

No sex life? Matteo speaks up
MANILA – Matteo Guidicelli bravely answered questions of allegedly not having a sex life after his co-stars in “Moron 5” teased him about it during the movie’s press conference last week.
In an interview with “The Buzz” which aired on Sunday, Guidicelli said he does not mind when his fellow actors tease him about his personal life, especially he is the youngest among them.
“Wala 'yan. It’s just a brother thing. Magkakapatid kami lahat and we just laugh at each other all the time. Whoever takes it too seriously will get pikon talaga, but I don’t. I don’t really care. That’s our thing,” he said.
Guidicelli is currently in a relationship with Sarah Geronimo. The singer-actress publicly admitted their relationship during the victory party of her latest movie “Maybe This Time” last June.
Although their relationship is being plagued by intrigues, including nagging reports that Geronimo’s mother has become stricter, the two Kapamilya stars seem unfazed as they have been spotted on several dates recently.
Saying he remains hopeful that their relationship will only get stronger through time, Guidicelli said: “With Sarah and I, whatever her values or whatever decisions she and I make, we have to adjust to it and that’s our personal decision.”
When asked directly if it is okay for him to live without sex, Guidicelli said: “That’s part of life. In the Bible, it says you can only do that after marriage. But all of us make mistakes. All of us have experiences so we’ll try to be better in our future relationships and all that stuff so it’s possible. If you really have the mindset, I guess.”
Despite this, Guidicelli said he still wants to end up with Geronimo in the future.
“The reason why I am still here with her and always fighting for her is because I want her to be my last already. Hopefully. We’ll see. We can never tell. Only the Lord knows,” he said.

Nadine shrugs off rumors linking James to Andi
MANILA – Nadine Lustre denied that rumors romantically linking her onscreen partner James Reid to actress Andi Eigenmann have affected their tandem.
In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Lustre said she was never bothered about it because she was aware of the circumstances behind such talk.
“Kasi si Bret (Jackson) din friend ko din siya so nakikita ko din minsan. Kasama din po kasi siya sa ‘Talk Back and You’re Dead,’” she said.
Following Eigenmann's public falling out with rumored boyfriend Jake Ejercito early this month, several photos of the 24-year-old actress with Reid and his friends made the rounds online.
This triggered speculations that Eigenmann is romantically involved with Reid, whose popularity has zoomed in recent months for his onscreen romance with Lustre, his leading lady in three major projects so far.
However, Reid's handler denied that the 21-year-old actor is seeing Eigenmann. This was followed by Jackson’s admission that he is actually the one who is pursuing the “Dyesebel” star.
Since Lustre said she also knows Jackson, hosts Kris Aquino and Toni Gonzaga asked the “Talk Back and You’re Dead” star if she also goes out with them.
“It depends kung hindi [party party] kasi hindi po ako madalas lumabas. Malayo din po kasi ako sa Fort. I’m always at home lang,” she said.

Boy Abunda thanks Kris, Gretchen for their support
MANILA – “What good did I do to deserve the love and friendship of these two girls?”
These were the words of Boy Abunda as he thanked Gretchen Barretto and Kris Aquino for their support when he was recently hospitalized for liver abscess.
Speaking on “The Buzz” on Sunday, Abunda narrated how Barretto and Aquino would make him feel comfortable despite his illness.
“When I was in the hospital, hindi pwedeng pumasok sa kwarto. Pumupunta [si Gretchen] tapos I would hear her voice, ‘Ito ang ulam ha? Ito ang sinigang. Iinitin niyo ito at siya lang ang kakain ha?’ There were days when I would hear her talk, ‘Bakit ang tagal-tagal niya? Ano ba ang paliwanag, ano ba ang sakit?’” Abunda recalled.
Abunda, meanwhile, described Aquino as a “librarian” who prepared the books for him to read and the movies and series for him to watch while at the hospital.
“[Si Gretchen] 'yung type na sa ospital, present and all. Ako nagbibigay ng space. May balance,” Aquino said.
Abunda returned to "The Buzz" on Sunday after weeks of absence due to an illness. Upon his return, he thanked those who wished him well while he was recovering after undergoing an aspiration of the liver abscess.
Now that he is up and about again, Abunda said he aims to live a Christ-centered life.
“Sana hindi na ako maging mayabang sa harap ng Diyos. Sana ipagpatuloy ko 'yung listening to the whisper, listening to him. Kasi
'yun po ang pagkukulang ko, na hindi ho ako nakinig. I was not listening," Abunda admitted.
“I’m looking forward to a life na sentro ang Diyos sa buhay ko dahil sa pagkakataong ito. I’m looking forward to a quieter, simpler life. Pangako ko 'yun,” he said.

Chiz has yet to mend ties with Heart's parents?
MANILA – While Heart Evangelista has already reconciled with her parents, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero admitted he has yet to iron things out with the mother and father of his fiancée.
In an interview with “The Buzz” which aired on Sunday, Escudero said what’s important is Evangelista is now on good terms with her parents.
“Papunta sa tamang direksyon [ang relasyon ko sa mga magulang ni Heart]. Hayaan natin na panahon ang makapagsabi pero at least sa parte ni Heart at ng magulang niya, maganda na ang relasyon nila,” he said.
Escudero said he does not want to rush things but he believes that everything will fall into the right place in time.
Meanwhile, Evangelista said Escudero hasn’t made the traditional “pamamanhikan” yet.
“No, we are not there yet. But, of course, we hope for the best,’ she said.
Just recently, the couple was rocked with controversy when it was reported that that they allegedly caused the “bumping off” of Cesca Litton and Tyke Kalaw’s wedding on Valentine’s Day at the Balesin Island Club in Quezon.
Escudero and Evangelista have already clarified that they have nothing to do with the supposed "bumping off" of a planned wedding in Balesin.
Rather than dwelling on intrigues, Evangelista said she has a lot of other more important things in mind in preparation for her wedding.
“There’s so many other things that I think about, like my parents going to my wedding,” she said.
Escudero and Evangelista will tie the knot at the Balesin Island Club on February 15 next year.

Kris Aquino buys Chowking franchise
MANILA -- She may be among the country's top celebrity endorsers and a hard-working TV talent, hosting the morning show "Kris TV" five days a week, on top of her duties on "The Buzz" and "Aquino & Abunda Tonight."
But actress-host Kris Aquino is still working to ensure the future of sons Joshua Aquino and James "Bimby" Yap Jr.
In her official Instagram account, Aquino revealed that she has decided to buy a franchise of Chowking.
"Future plans' dream about to be fulfilled! I have always believed that with good food from a respected Filipino company, I couldn't go wrong," she wrote in the caption.
Apart from becoming a franchisee, Aquino is also an endorser for the Chinese fast-food chain owned by Jollibee Foods Corp.
She expects to open her restaurant before the end of the year, although it wasn't clear from her post where her Chowking restaurant will be located.
"In getting to know their products, their setup, their 400+ branches and their marketing, I became convinced that it's a good long term investment for my sons and me," she explained.
Aquino said she is current fixing her schedule so she can go on an "immersion" for new store owners.

Hayden opens up on getting license back
MANILA – For the first time since the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) returned his medical license, Hayden Kho finally broke his silence to share his feelings now that he’s allowed to practice medicine again.
In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Kho admitted there was a point in his life when he already gave up on getting back his license.
“In 2009, when they told me ‘You can no longer practice as a doctor,’ it really broke my heart. I thought that was permanent. I was not really expecting anymore,” he said.
That’s why the PRC’s decision came as a surprise to him, Kho said, especially since he was out of the country when the commission rendered its decision.
Fresh from his trip abroad where he took classes on Apologetics, Kho said he has not even read yet the documents from the PRC reinstating him as a doctor.
“Honestly I don’t know how it works. In fact, I haven’t even seen the papers that were sent to my parents’ house. I just arrived so hindi ko pa nakikita. Pinadala lang ng mom ko 'yung pictures,” he said.
Kho also clarified reports saying that getting back his license was the reason behind his decision to become a Christian.
“I did not do that so that I could gain my medical license back," he said about his faith. "Why did I do what I did? The answer to that is I wanted to seek the Lord and in my experience, when I go to those places, in India, the poorest of the poor, when I helped out, I feel God more in my life. The beautiful thing about this is God does want to let his children know who he is,” he said.
After everything that he has been through, Kho said he is grateful to have his mother beside him.
“I love you mommy. Those seven years were very tough for me. Maraming beses kami nag-away ng mom ko. Ngayon ko lang talaga naiintindihan 'yung heart ng isang mom. She’s been very very patient with me. We fought many times but the love is still there. Ngayon ko lang naiintindihan 'yung love,” he said.
Asked about the most important lesson he learned from this ordeal, Kho said: “We all long for love. Doon sa mga tao na nagkamali before, and everyone abandoned you, I have been through that place. If you need someone to love you, if you need a hand that will hold you and they are not there, always remember tha there’s a heavenly Father who wants to put his arms around you.”

Why Erich posted picture with boyfriend
MANILA – Actress Erich Gonzales finally broke her silence on why she decided to post a picture of her and her non-showbiz boyfriend after being secretive about their relationship for three years.
In an interview with “The Buzz,” which aired on Sunday, Gonzales said she was too happy that day that she just had to share their picture to the world.
“Actually that day, na-feel ko lang 'yung happiness ko, hindi ko ma-contain pinost ko siya kasama ko 'yung kapatid ko, yung mga friends ko tapos siya. Hindi niya alam. Pinuslit ko. Pero alam na niya ngayon,” she said.
Gonzales said her boyfriend, who is a businessman, is not keen about making their relationship public but he somehow softened up when he read the comments on the actress’ Instagram page.
“Binabasa ko nga sa kanya yung mga comments. Sabi ko ‘Ito yung mga comments.’ Sabi niya ‘Naku sinasabi mo lang iyan para ma-feel good [ako] kasi nag-post ka, para mag-post pa siguro tayo.’ Sabi niya ‘Last na yan ah.’ Sabi ko, ‘Pag-iisipan ko,’” she shared.
The photo shows Gonzales with her boyfriend aboard what appears to be a yacht, along with their other friends, with the caption: "Surround yourself with people who make you happy."
Gonzales met her boyfriend in 2010. In a previous interview, the actress admitted they have a 10-year age gap, but this is a non-issue for the both of them.

KC, Paulo spotted together in Baguio
MANILA – Actress KC Concepcion continued to be evasive about the real score between her and Paulo Avelino even after a picture of them together in Baguio City last week made the rounds online.
Last Friday, “The Buzz” caught up with the actress, who just came from a meeting of her upcoming show which will soon be aired on ABS-CBN.
Still excited about her new project, Concepcion generously granted “The Buzz” an interview where she talked about her upcoming show.
“I am proud to say that yes, malapit niyo na akong makita sa ABS-CBN and meron akong future show na tinatrabaho ngayon,” she said.
Concepcion, however, was not able to escape questions about her love life when asked if her new project is the sole reason why she returned to the Philippines.
“For now kasi work ang priority ko. Work hard, play hard,” she said.
Concepcion has been staying in New York City where she is taking up an acting course. The long distance was one of the factors cited by Avelino in a past interview affecting their “relationship.”
“Kasi excited ako sa bago kong show. Parang kailangan huminahon muna siya (her love life) and magfo-focus muna ako ulit sa show na gagawin ko,” she said.
Two weeks ago, Avelino said on national television that his special relationship with Concepcion hasn’t taken off but is definitely not yet over.
Avelino first admitted dating Concepcion in November last year, weeks after he confirmed his separation from former girlfriend, actress LJ Reyes, with whom he has a son.

How Enrique feels about Liza Soberano
MANILA – Actor Enrique Gil seemed uneasy as he answered questions from “The Buzz” host Boy Abunda about his “real feelings” for teen actress, Liza Soberano.
Both were on “The Buzz” on Sunday to promote the film “She’s the One,” along with the movie’s lead stars Dingdong Dantes and Bea Alonzo.
“Everything about her, yes, puwede [akong manligaw]. Maybe after the concert, parang doon pa lang ako…sa ngayon, I’ll be like…not really ready din yet pero who wouldn’t like to be with somebody like her?” he said.
Gil was rumored to be dating Soberano after they were spotted together after the Star Magic Ball last month even though the actor arrived at the party as actress Julia Montes’ escort.
Gil had earlier said that he and Soberano are just friends as they share the same handler.
“Friends lang kami ni Liza kasi pareho kami ng handler. Sabi kasi ni Julia aakyat na siya, so sumama na lang ako sa handler ko. Eh wala ring kasama si Liza so sumama rin,” he said at the time.
Meanwhile, Soberano told Abunda that she is also not yet ready for any form of commitment.
“I’m not ready yet because I’m still young. Nagfo-focus muna ako sa career but maybe when I’m older. Maybe when I’m 18,” she said.
Asked how she felt after learning about Gil’s kissing scene with Alonzo in the movie, Soberano said: “I was there to witness it. Nagulat po ako kasi first time ko lang makakita ng live. May sounds pa po.”
Drawing laughter from the audience, Soberano continued: “I wanted to see a bit of it but I didn’t want to see it all because it was a kissing scene.”
Produced by Star Cinema, “She’s the One” will be released in theaters nationwide on October 17.

Before Miss World, Megan never won anything
MANILA – Megan Young didn’t know how she exactly felt when she was named the winner at the 2013 Miss World pageant recently held in Bali, Indonesia.
Having never won a single award in her entire life, Young said getting the title of Miss World felt surreal.
“Gusto ko na lang maiyak [nung natawag ako] because I’ve never won anything in my life. Kahit nga sa raffle, hindi ako nananalo. Tapos nanalo ako bigla ng Miss World,” she said in an interview on "The Buzz" on Sunday.
Young said the only thing she had in mind during the pageant was to do her best because she is carrying the flag of the Philippines.
“My mindset that night is that when I step on the stage, I’m going to think like a winner. You have that positive outlook. It comes from the people around me, my barkada, my family, my relatives. These are the people that keep the Megan inside here today,” she told fellow beauty queen Charlene Gonzales on "The Buzz."
Meanwhile, the Kapamilya star said she was overwhelmed when thousands of Filipinos braved the rains just to see her during her motorcade in Makati City last Friday.
“I wanted to celebrate with everyone. I wanted everyone to be with me. I was kind of scared because it was raining and people wouldn’t go out, baka matakot sila or mabasa. But while we were there in the rain, people were running out of their office, throwing confetti from their offices. It was such a fun and nakakaiyak na experience para sa akin,” she said.
Young will stay for a few more days in the Philippines before she flies back to London, where she will live for a year.
The beauty queen said she is already excited to begin her charity activities which are part of her duties as Miss World.
“We have so many projects that we are going to do this year. We are going to start everything here in the Philippines. We are going to PGH tomorrow. They have children there and these children, nahihirapan na sila kasi walang kagamitan, pera para makabili ng gamot. Ito yung gusto naming i-raise sa mga tao, maging aware sila sa kung ano ang nangyayari,” she said.
Young also mentioned that she will be going to New York soon.
