Adele takes social media by storm with slimmer look

Adele broke her social media hiatus on Wednesday when she posted a new photo of her showing off her figure after a noticeable weight loss.

The “Hello” singer looked stunning in a black dress while standing behind a huge wreath in what appears to be just outside her house.

Adele is currently celebrating her 32nd birthday.

“Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time,” she wrote in the caption of her post.

“I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels,” she added.

Immediately after her post, the Grammy winner became the top trending topic on Twitter Philippines.

Queen marks 92nd birthday with star-studded Commonwealth concert

LONDON - Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 92nd birthday on Saturday with a star-studded, Commonwealth-themed charity concert featuring Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue and Shaggy.

The monarch took to the stage herself at the end of the show at the Royal Albert Hall, where her son and heir Prince Charles led the crowd in a birthday "hip hip hip hooray".

Her grandsons Prince William and Prince Harry, accompanied by his fiancee Meghan Markle, also watched performances by stars from around the Commonwealth, the 53-nation grouping which held its summit in London this week.

The queen usually celebrates her birthday in private, saving the pomp for her official birthday in June, but the concert was held in aid of a new youth charity, The Queen's Commonwealth Trust.

"This organisation in your name will provide a platform for those working to make a difference in their communities across 53 countries. Your Majesty, Happy Birthday," said Harry, who will be president of the trust.

Australia's Kylie was among the performers, alongside Canadian pop chart-topper Shawn Mendes and South African all-male choir Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

US-Jamaican reggae star Shaggy shared the stage with British star Sting, while Jones and Craig David also performed.

Earlier, the queen's birthday was marked by a traditional gun salute in Hyde Park and the Tower of London, while at Windsor Castle, the band played "Happy Birthday" during the changing of the guard.

The queen has been the symbolic head of the Commonwealth since her father king George VI's death in 1952, but its leaders agreed on Friday that Prince Charles would eventually succeed her.

The summit was overshadowed by a row over Britain's treatment of Caribbean immigrants, while Charles himself also came under scrutiny.

A non-white writer, Anita Sethi, claimed he joked about whether she was really from the British city of Manchester when they met at a Commonwealth meeting this week.

Sethi -- whose mother was born in Guyana -- said Charles asked her where she was from and when she replied, said: "Well, you don't look like it!" and laughed.

She wrote in The Guardian that she felt humiliated and angry, adding that "some people, including the prince, urgently need a history lesson about immigration".

Andie OK if Albie attends daughter's party

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Andi Eigenmann does not see any problem if actor Albie Casiño would show up in the upcoming first birthday celebration of her daughter.

In an interview with with “The Buzz” aired on Sunday, Eigenmann said she cannot take away that right from Casiño because he is still the father of her child.

“If ever naman po na gusto nila, I’d of course be open to that because he’s still Ellie’s dad,” Eigenmann said.
She, however, made it clear that she will not exert an effort to invite the young actor since he already bailed out of being her daughter’s dad from the beginning.

“Sa tingin ko po nananahimik na sila sa mga buhay nila and hindi naman na talaga sila kasali. Ayaw naman nila. Noong umayaw sila noon, okay lang naman iyon sa akin. Kung hindi sila kasali, eh ‘di hindi sila kasali,” she said.
