MANILA -- Photos of actress Nadine Lustre in a bikini are now making rounds online.

Photos of the "Till I Met You" actress enjoying her holiday break in San Juan, La Union were uploaded on Instagram.

Lustre was with her boyfriend James Reid and some of their friends including Bret Jackson and Sam Concepcion.

Bret: Friendship with Andi good enough for me

MANILA – While he has been vocal about his feelings for Andi Eigenmann, Bret Jackson said he is fine with just being friends with the actress.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Jackson described Eigenmann as a "close friend," adding that he treasures whatever they have.

“Right now, she’s really my close friend and we are there for each other. That’s all I can say really. I can’t force anything. I can’t force anyone to care about you in the same way you care about them. For me, if we have friendship, that’s good enough for me,” he said.

Jackson said he respects Eigenmann and it makes him happy just caring for the actress.

“It’s not about love life," he explained. "When you’re there for someone, it’s not because you want them as your girlfriend. You’re there because you care about them and you love them.”

During the same interview, Eigenmann said that right now prefers to have a blossoming career than a rich love life.

“Para sa akin, I learned from the past already. Nung binuhos ko 'yung buong buo ko, it didn’t really work quite well for me. Nakalimutan ko na dapat magtitira ka pa din para sa sarili mo. So I wish na sana swertehin ako sa career more than anything else because that’s my priority,” she said.

Eigenmann, however, said this does not mean she is closing her doors on love.

“[Work is my priority] but not because wala na akong pakialam sa love life ko pero mas importante lang sa akin ang career,” she said.

Bret Jackson denies using James Reid for publicity

MANILA – Bret Jackson denied that he is using his friendship with James Reid to get publicity or promote his projects.

In an interview with entertainment site Pep, Jackson explained there is no truth to such rumors because he and Reid were already best friends even before the Kapamilya actor rose to fame.

“My best friend is James Reid. Why would I have to use anybody? I was best friends with James before he was even famous. I was with him for years na,” he said.

“I really don’t care about fame or any of that stuff. I’m doing this because I was given the opportunity. Who wouldn’t take the opportunity ‘di ba?” he said.

Reid and Jackson used to be housemates in the “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash 2010” edition and have remained good friends since their stint in the reality competition.

Just recently, the two made headlines when it was rumored that Reid was courting actress Andi Eigenmann.

Reid, however, set the records straight, saying it is Jackson who is interested in Eigenmann.

Is Bret Jackson just a 'rebound' for Andi?

MANILA – Andi Eigenmann shrugged off comments saying Bret Jackson is just a “rebound” after her falling out with former boyfriend, Jake Ejercito.

In an interview with entertainment site Push, Eigenmann denied that she is not that kind of person.

“That’s definitely not true because hindi ko naman gagawin 'yun. He wouldn’t stay or he wouldn’t be in my life like this. Hindi pa rin kami magiging ganito kalapit na magkaibigan kung rebound lang,” she said.

The actress said she does not owe anyone an explanation as to the real status of whatever she has with Jackson, adding that those who truly know them understand their “special friendship.”

“Actually that’s one thing that I want to be able to clarify is that I don’t believe that this relationship with Bret, this special friendship that we have, is something that I need to defend because it can speak for itself,” she said.

“Hindi ko naman mapipigilan ang maraming mga tao na hindi boto or hindi naniniwala or hindi siya gusto or hindi ako gusto pero wala tayong magagawa diyan. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but then what matters is that the people around us who experience us and see us together, they believe that there’s nothing wrong,” she explained.

Eigenmann said she appreciates Jackson not only for respecting her, but also her daughter Ellie.

“Ellie has met him. Actually he’s so kind. He respects the fact that I am a mother and also likes me for that I guess. And so whenever yinayaya niya akong lumabas, ganun, sigurado kasama lagi si Ellie,” she said.

Why Andi turned down Bret Jackson

MANILA - Actress Andi Eigenmann finally opened up about the reason she called things off with former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Bret Jackson, whom she has been romantically linked with back in September.

In an interview on Push published on Saturday, the 28-year-old explained that she simply was not ready to enter a new relationship, despite Jackson confessing his love for her.


"At that time, yes, of course, marami akong pinagdadaanan sa buhay ko nun, relationship-wise or not," she said.

Eigenmann lost her father, actor Mark Gil, in the same month. She was also reeling from her break up with Jake Ejercito, the son of Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada with former actress Laarni Enriquez.

The two have reportedly reconciled since.

"Ayoko nang nagmamadali. I don't want to jump into something that I know I’m not ready for," Eigenmann added. She also clarified that she remains good friends with Jackson.

Eigenmann and Jackson are set to star in a currently unnamed project, marking the their first big screen team-up.

Nadine shrugs off rumors linking James to Andi

MANILA – Nadine Lustre denied that rumors romantically linking her onscreen partner James Reid to actress Andi Eigenmann have affected their tandem.

In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Lustre said she was never bothered about it because she was aware of the circumstances behind such talk.

“Kasi si Bret (Jackson) din friend ko din siya so nakikita ko din minsan. Kasama din po kasi siya sa ‘Talk Back and You’re Dead,’” she said.


Following Eigenmann's public falling out with rumored boyfriend Jake Ejercito early this month, several photos of the 24-year-old actress with Reid and his friends made the rounds online.

This triggered speculations that Eigenmann is romantically involved with Reid, whose popularity has zoomed in recent months for his onscreen romance with Lustre, his leading lady in three major projects so far.

However, Reid's handler denied that the 21-year-old actor is seeing Eigenmann. This was followed by Jackson’s admission that he is actually the one who is pursuing the “Dyesebel” star.

Since Lustre said she also knows Jackson, hosts Kris Aquino and Toni Gonzaga asked the “Talk Back and You’re Dead” star if she also goes out with them.

“It depends kung hindi [party party] kasi hindi po ako madalas lumabas. Malayo din po kasi ako sa Fort. I’m always at home lang,” she said.
