Twerking hillbilly? Yes. Cheater and liar? No, says Miley Cyrus
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Pop star Miley Cyrus on Thursday said she was no angel, but angrily denied rumors she had cheated on her estranged husband, actor Liam Hemsworth.
In a series of postings on Twitter a day after Hemsworth filed for divorce after just seven months of marriage, the 26-year-old singer said she had nothing to hide.
“You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking, foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar,” the “Wrecking Ball” singer wrote.
“I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating,” she said.
Hemsworth and Cyrus announced through a representative earlier this month that they had separated, shocking fans of the former Disney Channel child star and leading to rumors and speculation in celebrity media about the cause.
A day later, Cyrus was photographed kissing celebrity blogger and reality TV star Kaitlynn Carter on a boat in Italy. Last week she released a break-up single, “Slide Away,” with lyrics that suggested Hemsworth had alcohol issues, which sources close to him have denied.
Australian actor Hemsworth, best known for “The Hunger Games” films, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Wednesday citing irreconcilable differences.
Cyrus tweeted on Thursday that although she would always love Hemsworth, who she met 10 years ago and married in December 2018, she “had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind.”

Miley Cyrus' family wants her to 'reconsider split'
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's families reportedly want them to reconsider their decision to split.
The 26-year-old pop star and Hemsworth, 29, recently announced their separation after less than 12 months of marriage, but according to an insider, their families hope they will take some time to reconsider the move.
The insider shared: "Their families have urged them to take some time to breathe before they make any final decisions.
"They are both upset about how this has blown up and are both hurting right now."
The high-profile duo tied the knot in December 2018, but decided to go their separate ways after their priorities changed.
More specifically, it's claimed that Cyrus "outgrew" her party-loving ways of the past.
The insider explained to E! News: "Liam was continuing to party with his friends. They used to party, but Miley outgrew that phase."
Meanwhile, a source close to Cyrus previously claimed that the chart-topping singer is having a "hard time" letting go of Hemsworth.
Cyrus is apparently struggling to get over him because of their extensive history together, having first met on the set of the 2010 movie "The Last Song."
The insider said: "They have a long history together, and that's a huge part of why she has a hard time letting him go. At the end of the day, she wants to be happy, and she genuinely wants Liam to be happy too."
Cyrus and Hemsworth are holding off on filing for divorce for now and friends believe that they could get back together in the future.
The source added: "They're having a break right now because they needed it.
"It was a bad situation with a lot of disagreements. They both agreed it's better to spend time apart, but this doesn't mean their relationship is completely over."

How Daniel Matsunaga met his new model girlfriend
MANILA – Unlike before, Daniel Matsunaga said he would rather keep his relatively new relationship with his Polish girlfriend away from the public eye.
As a celebrity, Matsunaga said the public already knows a big chunk of his life and he thinks it is just fair to keep a part of it private.
"Hindi naman [sa ayaw ko na pag-usapan unlike my past relationships]. Ayaw ko mag-compare. It's just that gusto ko this time to try something new, to be more private. Sometimes, it's good to be private. Everything is super exposed na sa buhay ko. This time, let's try something different," he said.
Nonetheless, Matusnaga said Karolina Pisarek -- a 20-year-old model who finished runner-up in the fifth season of Poland's version of "America's Next Top Model" back in 2015 -- is aware that he is talking about her in his interviews.
The actor said Pisarek also knows about his past relationships.
"She's aware naman. She knows naman, not everything, pero for me, I don't like talking about the past. You live in the present. You live for what you have in the moment and your future. And you pray to God to be in the front of the relationship," he said.
According to Matsunaga, he met Pisarek when she came to the Philippines for an advertising campaign.
Asked what is it with Pisarek that he likes the most, he said: "Lahat, 'yung beauty, 'yung inside person niya."
Prior to Pisarek, Matsunaga was in a relationship with Erich Gonzales. They parted ways early this year.

Marlon has sweet birthday message for Pia
MANILA – Amid persistent rumors that their relationship is on the rocks, Marlon Stockinger proved everyone wrong on Monday when he posted a sweet message for girlfriend Pia Wurtzbach.
To mark the beauty queen’s birthday, Stockinger shared a sweet photo of of him kissing Wurtzbach on the cheek with his arms wrapped around her waist.
In the caption, Stockinger wrote: “Make her feel like everyday is her birthday. Here's to many more with you Pia. More gifts & blessings.”
As if the photo and the message weren’t enough, Wurtzbach’s sweet reply is proof that they are still together.
“Thank you my love!” she wrote.
Wurtzbach, who turned 28 on September 24, has been in a relationship with Stockinger for several months now.
She first admitted their relationship last January, describing Stockinger as someone “who’s very secure with himself and who understands my job, and who’s not afraid to let me have my moment.”
The two have long been close to each other, even before Wurtzbach won the Miss Universe crown. But in October last year, Stockinger first admitted that he and Wurtzbach are seeing each other, although the race car driver maintained at the time that they “want to keep it down low.”

UK's Prince Harry and I are in love, says US actress Meghan Markle
LONDON (Reuters) - US actress Meghan Markle, the girlfriend of Britain’s Prince Harry, has said they are in love and happy together, in her first frank comments about their relationship since they became a couple last year.
In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine published on Tuesday, Markle said she began dating Harry, fifth in line to the British throne, in July last year after she met him through friends.
”We’re a couple,“ Markle told the U.S. magazine. ”We’re in love. I‘m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.
“This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”
The relationship between Harry, 32, the younger son of heir-to-the-throne Prince Charles and his first wife Princess Diana, became public knowledge last November when the prince issued a rare warning to the media to leave his 36-year-old girlfriend and her family in peace, reflecting his own battles with the press.
He was once pictured scuffling with paparazzi outside a London nightclub and in 2012 was photographed partying naked and playing billiards in a private room in Las Vegas.
Asked how she coped with media intrusion, Markle, a divorcee best known for her role in the U.S. TV legal drama “Suits”, said: “I can tell you at the end of the day I think it’s really simple. We’re two people who are really happy and in love.”
She added: ”We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news and I was working during that whole time and the only thing that changed was people’s perception.
“Nothing about me changed. I‘m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
The British royals, and particularly their often tangled love lives, provide worldwide fascination and on Tuesday, a French court was ordered to pay damages to Harry’s elder brother William and his wife Kate for breaching her privacy by publishing topless photos of her.
Markle said the attention of being involved with the prince had its challenges.
“It comes in waves - some days it can feel more challenging than others,” she said. “And right out of the gate it was surprising the way things changed. But I still have this support system all around me, and, of course, my boyfriend’s support.”
Harry, once the wild child of the royal family who admitted smoking cannabis and getting drunk when under the legal age limit, has secured a place as one of Britain’s most popular royals since enjoying a successful military career which saw him on active service twice in Afghanistan.
The interview fueled speculation among bookmakers that the couple could get engaged soon and comes a day after William revealed that he and his wife Kate were expecting their third child.

Meet Keanna Reeves' 20-year-old boyfriend
MANILA - "Sila naman kasi mahilig sa akin, eh," actress Keanna Reeves playfully quipped when asked about why she seems to prefer dating men who are younger than her.
The "Pinoy Big Brother" winner, who is 47 according to her Wikipedia entry, is again in another May-December romance, this time with a 20-year-old college student from Quezon City. She introduced her new beau on Facebook on Thursday.
Speaking with Pep, Reeves shared that she first met her fresh-faced boyfriend, whom she identified in the interview as John del Rosario, at a local club. But at the time, Del Rosario still had a girlfriend.
The two then later on bumped into each other once more, after Rosario had called it quits with his ex. Rosario then courted Reeves for a week before they became a couple.
According to Reeves, Rosario likes her because she's "matured." She added that Rosario does not mind being in a relationship with a celebrity, sharing: "Sabi niya, ready naman na daw siya kasi mahal niya ako."

Football star Messi weds childhood sweetheart
Following the private ceremony, the couple appeared happy and relaxed as they walked a red carpet before hundreds of media at a hotel and casino complex, Roccuzzo donning a tight, mermaid-style gown by Spanish designer Rosa Clara.
Shakira and her husband, Messi's teammate Gerard Pique, flew in to join the 260 guests including numerous footballers such as Messi's Barcelona strike partners Neymar and Luis Suarez.
Argentine media called it the "wedding of the century" for Rosario, the gritty northern port city where Messi, 30, and his bride, 29, met when the player was nine years old.
Former Barca and current Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas was in attendance, along with Argentina and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
ROAST GIZZARDS
The party was to be a respite for Messi from his legal woes. A Spanish court last month rejected his appeal against a conviction for tax fraud.
Brunette bride Roccuzzo wore a white, curve-hugging dress with a deep sweetheart neckline and embroidered straps by Rosa Clara- a Spanish designer who has dressed actress Eva Longoria and Spain's Queen Letizia.
The wedding was held at 2200 GMT in the City Center casino, which stands right next to a crime-ridden slum run by drug gangs.
The civil wedding ceremony and party were all slated to take place inside the venue, and the guests will be lodged there too.
The feast will reportedly feature Argentine delicacies such as roast gizzards.
Uruguayan pop bands Rombai and Marama plus singer Karina, Aguero's wife, will perform at the reception.
There were also rumors that there would be singing by Shakira, the Colombian diva famous for "Hips Don't Lie" and "Whenever, Wherever."
Shakira had recently denied rumors that she would miss the wedding due to a quarrel with Roccuzzo.
HUMBLE COUPLE
Messi and Roccuzzo live in Barcelona where he plays, but still return regularly to Rosario for vacations.
He moved to Spain when he was 13 to join FC Barcelona, but the couple kept in touch.
Messi has gone on to win the top Ballon d'Or award five times. He is widely regarded as the world's best footballer.
But various old friends of the couple in their home city said the bride and groom are humble folk who have never forgotten where they come from.
"They are the love of each other's lives," Messi's childhood friend Diego Vallejos told AFP.
Instead of wedding presents, they have asked for donations to a children's charity.
'LEO AND ANTO'
The couple have reportedly spent the past two weeks in Rosario with family, but have kept out of sight of the reporters who have invaded the city.
Rumors circulated of bachelor and bachelorette parties, but the only evidence that emerged was a photo, posted by ex-Barca goalkeeper Jose Pinto, of Messi enjoying a barbecue with a few friends.
Some friends of Roccuzzo have shared pictures of her relaxing with relatives.
On the eve of the wedding, a festive atmosphere reigned in the Las Heras neighborhood where Messi grew up.
"We will celebrate," said Damian Lugoni, 27, a local sausage sandwich vendor.
"I wish good luck to Leo and Anto, who is just as simple and nice as him."
"We are all happy for them," said Lisandro Urteaga, an artist who was called in to paint a mural of Messi in the neighborhood for the occasion.
"Let him celebrate the way someone like him deserves. He is a real example as a human being - although when he plays football he doesn't seem to be from this planet."

Janet Jackson splits with husband three months after birth of son: reports
Pop star Janet Jackson has split up with her Qatari businessman husband just three months after giving birth to her first child, according to media reports.
People magazine, Us Weekly and Entertainment Tonight all said sources had confirmed that Jackson, 50, and Wissam Al Mana had broken up after five years of marriage.
Representatives for the singer declined to confirm the split, which follows the birth in January of Jackson's first child, a boy the couple named Eissa.
Britain's Mail on Sunday publication, which was among the first to report the separation, quoted a source close to the singer as saying it was amicable. It was not known when the couple separated.
"They're both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they're apart. It's amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London," the source told the Mail on Sunday.
Jackson and Al Mana, 43, married in 2012, and a year ago the singer postponed her "Unbreakable" world tour so they could focus on starting a family.
Jackson, the fiercely private youngest child of the famed Jackson singing family, had two previous marriages: a year-long union with soul singer James DeBarge in the mid 1980s, and to dancer Rene Elizondo Jr from 1991-2000.

Ellen, Baste broke up 'several times'
MANILA – Ellen Adarna broke up “several times” with presidential son Sebastian “Baste” Duterte before they parted ways for good, the actress revealed.
Adarna, who appears on the cover of the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Philippines, said in an interview with the magazine that she and Duterte went through a lot before reaching their “final breakup,” which involved not talking to each other for a month.
“We broke up several times, and then ‘yung final straw – ‘yung final breakup talaga na hindi kami nag-usap for maybe a month – ang dami kong realizations,” she said.
Adarna then had second thoughts about getting back together with the young Duterte, who is in a relationship with another woman.
“Kung babalikan ko siya, makakatulog ba ako sa gabi nang maayos? I don’t want that. And I don’t deserve that kasi binibigay ko naman lahat ‘pag nagmahal ako,” she said.
Last month, Duterte said he never broke up with his long-time girlfriend, Kate Necessario, amid rumors of his relationship with Adarna.
They have a two-year-old son named Yair.

7 Valentine's Day gifts that last
MANILA - Valentine’s Day is just a heartbeat away. Are you planning on giving chocolates and flowers again to your special one?
Although romantic tokens are always popular, why not consider gifts that will last beyond Valentine’s Day and make a lasting impact on your significant other’s life? These gifts reflect long-term thinking and express your deep concern.
Unlike presents that you can just pick up from a store, these gifts entail a bit of research or “digging” on your part, which show that you are willing to give the gift of time and security to your loved one.
Here are seven gifts that will clearly show you are "investing" in your relationship.
1. Art.
Artwork by the masters is always valuable, but if you can’t afford one, there are plenty of other equally promising pieces. An art piece, especially by an up and coming artist, is a gift whose value can grow over time. This is not limited to paintings, but also to sculpture and other art forms.
The best part? Works of art come in different price points, so you can acquire one within your budget, Spend time in galleries and check out art exhibits to get a feel of what’s out there. Make sure to do your research before you buy anything. Make sure that you get a piece according to your partner’s taste.
2. Jewelry.
The best thing about jewelry is that they are not only very romantic when given as a gift, they also appreciate in value. Gold prices, for instance, have been rising over the past few years, so you can pick up a ring, necklace, or earrings that your loved one will like. Diamonds and precious stones can likewise appreciate over time. Before buying jewelry, check out an appraiser so you know you’re getting something of value that will appreciate over time.
3. Expensive time pieces.
If your loved one likes time pieces, get a top-end watch. Usually, these are mechanical, handcrafted pieces that are laden with precious stones. Unlike new models, these pieces can last through generations while keeping their value. Do some research to know what these pieces and brands are.
4. Mutual funds.
Mutual funds may not exactly sound romantic, but when you give this to a loved one, you are showing long-term concern. The nice thing about mutual funds is that you can put in an amount that you are comfortable with. Later on, you can continue to top up this amount or you can leave it to your loved one to continue doing so.
Mutual funds can be invested in a variety of instruments with different risks that suit the recipient’s profile. You can get these at any financial institution, whose experts can readily answer your questions.
5. Home improvement.
Show your love by investing in a home improvement program, which will not only help improve the atmosphere that contributes to your loved one’s well-being, but can also improve the value of your home. Don’t just focus on beautification. You can also find ways to make full use of your land and invest in disaster-proofing your home, which are steps that can definitely add to its value.
6. Skills enhancement.
Enroll your loved one in a program that can enhance or upgrade his or her skills, possibly in new fields. Learning is a lifelong process, and the benefits of joining this program is sure to last for a long time. There are many options available to suit different inclinations and learning priorities. You can check out online courses, as well as face-to-face workshops offered by universities and other skills training providers.
7. Wellness programs.
Your loved one’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being is important to his/her happiness. It also ensures good health and freedom from costly medications. For Valentine’s, why not enroll your loved one in a gym or a fitness program? Alternatively, yoga classes or a visit to the spa for alternative treatments are also good for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
For this coming Valentine’s Day, give a gift whose positive effect will last for more than a day. This is a sign of true love and a real gesture of a lifetime.

Daniel Matsunaga on breakup with Erich Gonzales: Not about money
Daniel Matsunaga denies that he and Erich Gonzales broke up because of money.
"It was never about money like what a lot of people are thinking right now," he told Pep, hours after Gonzales revealed to the media that their relationship had come to screeching halt.
Rumors about their split first surfaced after Gonzales deleted all of her photos with him from her Instagram account.
Their decision to not directly address their love troubles paved the way for more speculation, with some claiming that financial troubles were a factor.
There were also suggestions that a third party was involved, but both Gonzalez and Matsunaga have repeatedly struck those down.
In his interview with Pep, Matsunaga again refused to detail his breakup with his leading lady. He only said that he is leaving everything to God at this point.
Matsunaga, who rose to fame after he won "Pinoy Big Brother: All In," was in relationship with Gonzales since 2015.
The two have starred in the hit morning series "Be My Lady," which concluded after nearly a year on air.

Daniel Matsunaga: No third party in relationship troubles with Erich Gonzales
Daniel Matsunaga has asked for privacy amid relationship troubles with girlfriend and leading lady Erich Gonzales. He also denied that a third party has been causing the drama in their romance.
“Whatever is happening between me and Erich right now should be between the two of us please," he told one of his followers on Intsagaram. "We have nothing against each other and my love for her will always be there. So sa lahat ng mga haters, I just hope you guys respect her. Tama na please. Grabe kayo."
When one asked whether one of them is having an affair, he wrote: "There is no third party."
The couple's troubles began to surface early this week after some eagle-eyed fans noticed that Gonzales removed photos of her with her boyfriend from her Instagram account. Matsunaga has since admitted that they were "going through some personal things."
The two first met when Matsunaga joined the cast of primetime series "Two Wives" in January 2015, which Gonzales topbilled. They then admitted to being a couple in June 2015.
Gonzales and Matsunaga starred in the noontime series “Be My Lady," which ran for nine months as part of ABS-CBN's morning offerings.

How Marlon Stockinger won Pia's heart
MANILA – Not a lot of people know how Filipino-Swiss race car driver Marlon Stockinger won the heart of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
In an interview on “The Bottomline,” Wurtzbach confessed to host Boy Abunda that it was Stockinger’s efforts to fly across the globe just to get to know her more that made her fall for him.
“We’ve known each other for a while but we really got to know each other more when he went to visit me in New York. That’s where I really appreciated the effort because that’s the first time somebody has flown from the other side of the world to see me,” she said.
“Hindi naman niya alam kung ano ang mangyayari sa amin. He just wanted to get to know me more. I appreciate that. He really makes an effort. He knows how busy I am. He knows I can’t fly to him, then he flies to me,” she added.
Wurtzbach said she loves how Stockinger is comfortable with himself that he just lets her shine in fulfilling her job as Miss Universe.
“Sa totoo lang, mahirap makahanap ng lalaki na magiging komportable sa klase ng trabaho ko kasi it’s so easy to say na ‘Paano ka mahihirapan eh Miss Universe ka? I’m sure guys would be lining up.’ The truth is, there’s no line outside. Guys get intimidated also because of my personality,” she explained.
Wurtzbach also said that she feels at ease with Stockinger.
“He knows me as Pia. That’s good because I don’t have to hide anything from him. I can be completely honest. Yun talaga ang hinahanap ko sa lalaki,” she said.
When her schedule is not too hectic, Wutzbach said she also makes sure to watch Stockinger’s races. Pia admitted that she thinks Stockinger's job is dangerous, but added that she doesn't get nervous watching his races.
“Yes. I think it is but I don’t worry because I know he has control. But I do get emotional. I remember, one time I watched his race and he was doing so well and he got cut by this green Lamborghini. Nainis ako, ‘Oh my gosh nakakainis yung isang kotse na yun. Sino yun?’ I’m cheering for him. He is also cheering for me,” she said.
The pair first confirmed their relationship last Monday.

LOS ANGELES - Actors Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber are splitting up after 11 years together, the couple said in a statement on Monday.
Watts, 47, and Schreiber, 48, said that "the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple."
"It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship," they said, asking for privacy for their two young sons.
Their separation follows on the heels of Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's sudden divorce announcement last week.

Watts and Schreiber star together in the upcoming boxing drama "The Bleeder." Schreiber will also star on Broadway in "Les Liaisons Dangereuses," opening next month, in which he plays a promiscuous Frenchman. (Reporting by Piya Sinha-Roy, editing by G Crosse)

2016: The year love died in Hollywood
The imminent divorce of "Brangelina" is the latest in a series of celebrity splits giving the impression that the average Hollywood marriage has about as much chance of success as a non-white actor at the Oscars.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie-Pitt have both been through divorces before, he with "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston and she with actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.
This year has also seen Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin finalize their famous "conscious uncoupling" around the same time that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were squabbling over the terms of their split.
Drew Barrymore, Lisa Marie Presley, Dennis Quaid and James McAvoy have announced divorces from their respective partners too, sparking some gossip websites to refer to 2016 as the year of the Hollywood divorce.
In 2012 statistics website PolitiFact estimated that the lifelong probability of an American marriage ending in divorce was 40–50 percent, citing academics and the National Survey of Family Growth.
Kelly Frawley, a partner at New York law firm Kasowitz, Benson, Torres and Friedman, believes that while there is no reason to think the rich and famous split more often than the rest of us, the pressures which put strain on relationships are amplified in the rarified air of Tinseltown.
"There are standard things that cause marriages to disintegrate -- concerns about money, fights about how to raise the children, issues of fidelity," she told AFP.
"Those are much bigger scale when you are dealing with a celebrity couple because there's so much accessibility to all the things that make it easy to step out of a marriage.
"You can spend money with ease, you can leave with ease, you can have affairs with ease."
- 'Unique microscope' -
It's not all doom and gloom. Denzel and Pauletta Washington have been going strong since 1983 while Billy Crystal, Christopher Walken and their respective sweethearts expect to celebrate golden wedding anniversaries before the end of the decade.
But unlike skin peels, kale and the 5:2 diet, divorce is one celebrity fad that has endured through the ages and the Hollywood hills are littered with the carcasses of euthanized showbiz marriages.
Among the high profile casualties are Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who announced on June 30 2015, one day after their ten-year anniversary, that they were calling it a day.
Tom Cruise was on his third marriage by the time he and Katie Holmes split in 2012 and there were divorces in 2010 for Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson, and Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar.
"Celebrities are under a unique microscope, where every nuance is dissected over and over again the slightest misunderstanding is reported like you're splitting up right away," said Judi Bloom, a licensed marriage and family therapist based in Southern California.
"That can really wear down a couple in the end."
One big problem for Hollywood couples, she told AFP, is that they spend so much time apart on their separate projects, which can "pull at the fabric of a relationship."
Some avoid growing apart by continuing to work together after getting hitched.
Warren Beatty and Annette Bening began dating during the filming of "Bugsy" in 1991, married a year later and filmed "Love Affair" together in 1994.
- Breathing space -
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett are still together a quarter century after meeting on the set of his sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" when she auditioned to play his girlfriend.
She didn't get the part but she got Smith -- marrying the actor in 1997 and appearing alongside him in 2001 biopic "Ali."
It doesn't always work, of course.
Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton have joined forces for no fewer than seven films but called it a day after 13 years, an unlucky number which was also the length of the marriage of Woody Allen and Mia Farrow, and the number of his films in which she appeared.
Rob Shuter, a former Hollywood publicist for Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson and others who now runs NaughtyGossip.com, told AFP celebrities and their representatives plan divorce announcements down to the most minute detail.
"The announcement about Brad and Angie came out one day after the weekly magazines went to print, which means that they get a week of breathing space," he said.
Shuter says that while print is less important in the digital age than it used to be, the timing was still "a disaster" for People, which has the largest audience of any American magazine, and its rival Us Weekly.
He believes Pitt would have been the more passive partner in planning their divorce announcement because of Jolie-Pitt's track record with carefully stage-managing the news cycle.
"When she was pregnant with Shiloh she didn't make the announcement with an official statement, she walked around the corner and let her bump show for 'People' magazine," he said.

LOOK: Matteo shares underwater photo with Sarah
MANILA – “The best.”
That’s how Matteo Guidicelli described his experience of swimming with whale sharks with his girlfriend, singer-actress Sarah Geronimo, in Oslob, Cebu last week.
On Saturday, the actor took to Instagram to share their underwater photo, which immediately garnered thousands of “likes” and hundreds of comments from their supporters.
The picture shows Guidicelli guiding Geronimo with two whale sharks on their side.
Prior to Guidicelli’s post, several photos of him and Geronimo holding hands as they visited the popular tourist attraction already circulated in various social media sites.
Gudicelli and Geronimo first made public their relationship more than two years ago.
In his StarStudio interview, Guidicelli said he and Geronimo want to keep their relationship low-key as much as possible and very close to normal.
“Siyempre, she’s my princess. I take care of her, but I want to show her what reality is, what life is. That everywhere you go, you won’t walk around with an entourage, or be treated like a VIP,” he said.
Despite the absence of actual marriage talks between them, Guidicelli has described his girlfriend as "the one" for him.
"She brings a lot to the table and I have my own things to bring to the table. I guess we complement each other. We are not the same in many things and marami kaming mga opposites but I think when two opposite people come together, they make the table fuller and make it better," he said.

Bianca flying to Brazil to meet Fabio Ide's family
MANILA – Bianca Manalo is flying to Brazil later this year to finally meet the relatives of her boyfriend, Brazilian-Japanese model Fabio Ide.
Speaking to entertainment site PEP on Sunday, Manalo said she would like to get to know Ide’s family on a more personal level since they have been together for over a year already.
“Imi-meet ko pa 'yung family niya in December. We'll go to Brazil. One month kami mag-stay dun. Kasi ang hirap naman bigla na lang kaming magpapakasal dito, hindi ko pa kilala 'yung family niya,” she said, admitting that they have already talked about settling down.
Asked how her own family finds Ide, Manalo said: “My family loves him. Mabait kasi siyang tao. Sino ba naman ang hindi magmamahal sa kanya?”
Meanwhile, the former beauty queen shared that their recent trip to Europe together has made their relationship a lot stronger.
“Talagang happy. Nag-bond talaga kaming dalawa,” she said. “We've been there for three weeks. Nakabalik kami last week so talagang sagad na vacation.”
Among the places that they have been to, Manalo said Rome and Paris are their favorites.
“Very relaxed [sa Rome]. Nandun din 'yung Vatican. I had the chance to pray. Paris maganda, pero siguro babalikan ko siya two years from now. Pero kung Rome, puwede ako bumalik next month. Ganun siya kaganda,” she said.
Is there anything that she has discovered about Ide during that trip?
“Tinuruan ko siya na kapag first time mo sa isang simbahan, magwi-wish ka. Hindi niya alam 'yun eh. Nagpri-pray kami parati. Tapos mini-make sure namin na 'yung mga tourist spots, pupuntahan namin sa Paris. Yung top 10 sa Google, pinuntahan namin lahat yun.”
