Isabel Oli to wear Vera Wang wedding gown

MANILA - Four months before they tie the knot, John Prats said he has already given his fiancee Isabel Oli a wedding present -- her wedding gown.

According to the 30-year-old actor, he had Oli fit a gown at a Vera Wang botique during their recent vacation in Los Angeles, California.

"Nagsukat na siya ng wedding gown niya, doon siya nagpa-fitting sa Vera Wang," Prats was quoted as saying by entertainment news site PEP. "Iyon ang wedding gift ko sa kanya."

Prats and Oli will hold their May wedding at a farm owned by the actor's family in Batangas. "Super excited na ako, that's why, now, nagpe-prepare na kami for the big day," he said.

Referring to preparations for the ceremony, Prats added: "Ayun, medyo ngarag, kasi malapit na, four months na lang. Meeting-meeting pa lang kami kung sino ang florist namin, ano ang magiging hitsura ng wedding namin."

The former child star said he and Oli, who is three years his senior, have yet to finalize their wedding entourage. He did share, however, that TV host Boy Abunda will be a principal sponsor.

Asked if they have already planned as far ahead as their honeymoon, Prats answered: "Actually, pati siya excited about it. I'm really excited about it. Pero siguro, ang focus namin ngayon ay dun sa wedding.

"We will think after that kung saan kami magha-honeymoon. Madami… Maldives, Europe, New York siguro. Marami kaming gusto, but we have to think kung ano talaga ang gusto namin."

Jason Francisco, John Prats shake hands 1 year after brawl

MANILA – Jason Francisco said all is now well between him and John Prats more than a year after they got involved in a brawl.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Francisco said mending ties with Prats is one of the things which he is grateful for in this year.

“Okay na kami ni Kuya John. Nung PBB Big Night rehearsal, nag-shake hands kami. Okay na kami, walang problema. Simple lang. Siguro time din,” he said, referring to the finale of the reality show "Pinoy Big Brother" last August.

Asked how their reconciliation came about, Francisco said: “Nakikita ko siya [madalas] pero ayaw ko naman mag-approach so hinintay ko na lang siya. Marami naman na akong nagawa noon [na pag-reach out], parang ayaw niya pa so hinintay ko na lang siya. Wala na 'yun.”

Francisco, however, said he is still waiting for the time when they could finally sit down and catch up.

“Hindi pa [kami nakakapag-usap]. Shake hands lang. 'Yun ang importante. Siguro kapag nagkasama kami ulit sa trabaho. Pero sapat na 'yun. Wala na masyadong usapan. Basta kumamay sa 'yo, okay na 'yun,” he said.

In March 2013, Francisco reportedly hit Prats three times on the cheek and chin during rehearsals for an episode of the late-night gag show “Banana Split.”

At that time, Prats surmised that Francisco was angered by the group's constant teasing of Melai Cantiveros, who is now Francisco's wife.

In a separate interview with ABS-CBN News, Francisco admitted that he was hurt by the jokes about him and Cantiveros.

John Prats not behind 'Olivia proposal' billboards

MANILA – Camille Prats is getting stressed out over speculations that her brother, John Prats, is behind all the billboards along the stretch of EDSA asking a certain Olivia to marry him.

Many fans believe that the billboards with the message “Olivia, will you marry me?” are meant for Prats' girlfriend, actress Isabel Oli, whose real name is Maria Olivia Daytia.

While Camille is hoping that John and Oli would eventually get married, she urged the public not to preempt anything.

“Sobrang stressed sila, pati ako nase-stress kasi people are messaging me, people are calling them and asking kung si John ba 'yung nagpropose kay Liv. But it’s not us,” she said.

“Parang feeling ko nape-pressure sila na ‘Parang ano ba 'yan? Hindi naman talaga kami and people assume that it’s us.’ So parang nase-stress sila, napi-preempt,” she added.

Camille nonetheless believes her brother has plans of settling down.

“I think they are talking about it. I don’t want to preempt also kasi baka parang ako din si ‘Olivia will you marry me.’ But I think John has plans. We don’t know any of it yet but I think they have plans,” she said.

In a previous interview, Camille said their family approves of Oli because the actress has a very good heart.

"Alam niya 'yan. Naka-focus kami sa kanya ngayon, priority namin siya. Sabi naman namin sa kanila, okay naman kami kung gusto na nila," Camille said.

John and Oli have been a couple for over a year now.

John Prats, Isabel Oli discuss 'wedding'

MANILA -- Celebrity couple John Prats and Isabel Oli on Tuesday opened up about speculations that they are getting ready to exchange "I dos" within the year.

Talks about a wedding between the two were fanned by Prats himself, after he posted a picture on Instagram of him kissing Oli’s forehead as he greeted the actress and her family a happy New Year.

In the caption, Prats also shared his wish: "Next year magkasama na tayo pag pasko at bagong taon ah.”

To which Oli replied: “God bless you my love!!! Blessed new year to u Hubb.”

In an interview with ABS-CBNNews.com on Tuesday during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Divine Angels Montessori school in Cainta Rizal, which is owned by Prats' family, the "Banana Split" actor said he is happy with the positive comments elicited by the romantic photo.

"Alam niyo nakakatuwa sa IG kasi hindi lang kami magkasama last Christmas, so sabi ko 'let's spend Christmas this year together.' Tapos parang lahat kasal na ata. Well for me it's a good vibe at OK naman 'yon, positive lahat, masaya," explained Prats, who earlier admitted that he is ready to marry Oli.

But the couple denied that they are already engaged.

"Hinihintay ko pa nga 'yung proposal niya," Prats joked Oli.

Turning serious, he said: "Malalaman niyo naman 'yan sa takdang panahon. Ako when they asked me, natural bakit ko naman sasabihin 'yan? Nauna pa ibang tao kaysa kay Liv (Isabel). Kumbaga gusto ko lang maging espesyal 'yung araw na 'yon kung darating 'yon. Kung kailan, hindi niya pwedeng malaman. I want it to be special and I'm sure malalaman ng tao 'yon."

For her part, Oli said she's ready to settle down with Prats.

"Ako, whenever I enter a relationship, gusto ko ay ganoon na. Serious talaga ako sa relationships so sana, sana talaga," said Oli, who also admitted that they have talked about getting married.

"May mga kwentuhan, may mga plano, pero walang date," she said.

Asked to share her dream proposal, Oli replied: "Basta ako sa lahat ng bagay, basta simple -- kahit saan."

Prats and Oli will mark their first anniversary as a couple later this month.

"Basta sobrang enjoy ako. Wala na akong hihilingin pa. Nakita niyo naman ang aga-aga, nandiyan siya para sa amin," Prats said.

John Prats, Isabel Oli to marry soon?

MANILA -- Are wedding bells in the offing for celebrity couple John Prats and Isabel Oli?

In an interview on Tuesday for his upcoming show "I Dare You," Prats announced that Oli is ready to walk down the aisle.

"I know she's ready anytime. Siguro that's what I like about her. Hindi siya kagaya ng ibang artista ngayon na focused sa career. Maganda sa kanya kasi nakikita niya ang sarili niya to be a housewife," Prats said.

But asked if he is also ready to be a husband, Prats said: "Secret. Baka ma-preempt 'yung proposal ko. I really want it to be special for her.

"'Yung engagement bawal pagusapan at sorpresa sa kanya 'yon pero getting married, yes (napag-uusapan). That's why I know she's ready anytime," he explained, adding that this will happen soon.

"Not really long, not really long," Prats said when pressed for a date.

Prats credited Oli for a lot of changes in his life.

"Parang mas kontente ako ngayon, wala na akong ibang hinahanap, wala akong reklamo at mas focused ako sa work ngayon kasi alam ko nandiyan siya to support me. Never kong na-experience na hina-harass niya ako for time. Alam niya kasi na siguro ako 'yung lalaki eventually I will be the one who will will be there financially for my family, that's why sobrang support niya sa akin," he said.

Prats said he also taught Oli to be more positive.

"Si Isabel kasi mabilis mag-worry, small things. Siguro 'yung natulong ko sa kanya, na lagi positive lang. Lahat talaga may pagsubok pero after that lahat malalagpasan mo. Kaya naging positive siyang tao because of that. Palagi na siyang palangiti, before kasi palagi siyang serious. Ngayon nalabas 'yung kengkoy side niya," he said.

Currently, Prats is busy promoting the second season of ABS-CBN's "I Dare You" which will premiere this Saturday, October 12, after "Maalaala Mo Kaya."

John Prats denies bullying Melai on set

MANILA – John Prats denied allegations that he bullied his fellow “Banana Split” star Melai Cantiveros, causing comedian Jason Francisco to punch him in the face thrice last March 21.

In an interview with “The Buzz” aired on Sunday, Prats said he never bullied Cantiveros or anyone in “Banana Split” because they treat each other like family.

“We don’t do that here in ‘Banana.’ Tropa kasi kami eh. Kapag tropa normal na nagkakaroon ng asaran. Tinanong ko siya ‘Melai ikaw ba napipikon ba?’ Sabi niya hindi talaga and lambing natin sa bawat isa iyon eh,” he said.

Prats said even Cantiveros herself was surprised that Francisco attacked him.

“Sinabi niya na ‘Kuya John hindi ko talaga alam kung saan nanggaling ang reaction ni Jason na ganun.’ Sobra daw siyang na-shock kasi hindi pa raw sila nakakapag-usap. Dumalaw kasi si Jason that time so tinanong ko, anong nangyari, nag-away ba? Sabi niya ‘Hindi kuya galing ako sa van, nakita ko siya papasok ng Music Museum. Pagpasok ko hindi kami nag-usap at all. He went straight to you at ginawa na niya 'yun,’” he shared.

Prats said it also bothers him that the incidents which Francisco referred to as “bullying” happened two years ago when he was still part of the show.

“Kung kahapon iyon or during that time, maiinitindihan ko. Pero two years ago iyon, umalis siya sa ‘Banana,’ nagkatrabaho kami sa 'Happy Yipee Yehey,' nag-'Angelito' pa kami, saan siya nanggagaling? Bakit ako?” he said referring to the now defunct lunchtime show and afternoon drama series, which both featured Prats and Francisco.

“Ako sa sarili ko alam kong wala akong ginawa sa kanya kaya nakakaharap ako ng maayos sa kanya. That day after the incident, nung tinawag siya ni Jason Gainza, tinanong siya bakit ginawa iyon, sabi niya, ‘Hindi ko alam.’ Nag-snap daw siya. Sabi pa niya ‘Kung gusto mo balik ako diyan, gulpihin ako ni Kuya John.’ It’s not about that. It’s not about getting even,” he added.

Despite this, Prats said he is still not sure if he’s going to file charges against Francisco.

“Parang gusto ko nang magpatawad but 'yung half of me parang ganun na lang ba? Minsan kasi kapag sobrang mabait ka, minsan naabuso ka. Palalampasin mo na lang ba? Magulo pa ngayon. But we are still talking with the lawyers and titignan namin kung anong magandang options. Ayaw ko na pag-usapan but I have to explain my side,” he said.

Meanwhile, Francisco, in a separate interview, said he only wishes to talk to Prats to personally explain his side.

“Kaya ko tanggapin lahat ng jokes, lahat ng pranks basta huwag lang kay Melissa. Parati ko nga sinasabi na iba ang nakakatawa sa pinagtatawanan talaga. Lagyan lang natin ng limit at respeto kasi babae pa din iyan,” he said.

“Bigyan mo ako ng chance na makausap ka. Kilala mo naman ako, hindi naman ako ganyang tao. Alam natin sa isa’t isa kung bakit ko nagawa iyan. Sana bigyan mo ako ng chance,” he added.

Cantiveros, on the other hand, refused to grant any media interviews, saying she only wants this issue to end soon.

John Prats' manager to file charges vs Jason Francisco

MANILA, Philippines -- The manager of actor John Prats is set to file charges against comedian Jason Francisco following an incident involving both ABS-CBN talents on Thursday night.

"I will pursue filing of physical injury charges against Jason Francisco," Prats' manager, Arnold Vegafria, said in a statement released on Friday.

The talent manager cited the "aggravating circumstances of the incident and the brazen, treacherous attack of Francisco against my talent."

Vegafria added, referring to Francisco, "What if he used a deadly weapon in that moment? He should be taught a lesson."

On Thursday, Francisco punched Prats three times on his cheek and chin during rehearsals for the late-night gag show "Banana Split" at the Music Museum in San Juan City.

Following the incident, which Prats has already reported to San Juan police, Francisco admitted being angered by the jokes of the "Banana Split" cast directed at him and former girlfriend Melai Cantiveros, who is also part of the gag show.

Francisco has already apologized to the dancer-actor over the incident, saying he is willing to make amends in person.

John Prats, Jason Francisco in brawl

Actor John Prats was hit by comedian Jason Francisco during rehearsals for a late-night gag show in San Juan City on Thursday.

Prats was hit three times by Franciso on his cheek and chin Thursday night at the Music Museum during a taping for an upcoming episode of "Banana Split."

"I was watching sa rehearsal ng 'Banana Split' then from behind sa likod ko, sinapak niya ako sa mukha, dito at dito (pointing to chin, cheek). Na sa likod siya. Tapos nung humarap na ako, sabi ko, 'Anong problema mo?'" Prats told ABS-CBN News.

"Hindi ko alam kung bakit niya ako biglang sinapak. Para akong nakakita ng demonyo," he said.

Prats has already reported the incident to the San Juan police.

Jemster Reyes, the director "Banana Split," recalled the incident, saying they immediately tried to restrain Francisco.

"Akala ko tatapikin lang si John, tapos 'yung tapik niya isang malakas na sampal, tapos isang suntok sa kaliwa tapos suntok ulit, bali tatlo. Tapos inawat na namin kasi nagulat kami pareho," he said.

Prats surmised that Francisco was angered by the group's constant teasing of the comedian's former girlfriend Melai Cantiveros, who is also part of the cast of "Banana Split."

"Kasi sa amin sa 'Banana Split' talagang asaran talaga kami, inaasar ko si Jason na malaki ulo, ako tinutukso na maliit, and it's normal," he said.

Asked on why he suspects he was the one hit by Francisco, the actor added, "Wala, I felt that I was the one available that time."

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Francisco admitted that he was hurt by the jokes about him and Cantiveros. He also apologized to Prats and the staff of the program.

Francisco, who left with Cantiveros following the encounter, added that he hopes to speak with Prats personally to apologize.

John Prats happy for Bianca's new love

MANILA, Philippines - Actor John Prats said he is happy for his former girlfriend Bianca Gonzales, who's now rumored to have found a new love.

"Noon pa naman sinabi ko na sana ay mahanap namin 'yung happiness namin. At ngayon nalaman ko sa inyo (sa press) di umano na siya ay happy ngayon eh di 'yun lang naman ang wini-wish ko na maging masaya ang lahat," Prats told reporters in an interview on Tuesday afternoon after a press conference for the 4th anniversary of ABS-CBN's gag show "Banana Split."

Prats also doesn't mind if Manalo found a new love -- who is said to be a model -- in such a short period of time.

"Sa panahon naman ngayon hindi ba kung mayroon naman na nandiyan at magpapasaya sa iyo, grab it at baka mawala pa," he said.

Asked if there's somebody who's making him happy these days, Prats replied: "Masaya ako sa sarili ko pero hindi ko naman siya hinahahanap sa ngayon. Sabi ko nga para lang maiba ay i-enjoy ko muna ang sarili ko surrounded by many friends at makipag-meet but hindi naman talaga 'yung magka-girlfriend agad."

Manalo and Prats broke up last May amid rumors linking the actor to Sexbomb dancer Sunshine Garcia.

Manalo had already denied that Garcia had nothing to do with their breakup and on Tuesday Prats again denied that the dancer was ever his girlfriend.

Aside from "Banana Split Extra Scoop," Prats is also part of the afternoon series "Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto."

John Prats Admits Relationship With Bianca Manalo

MANILA, Philippines – It might’ve taken a lot of coaxing by “The Buzz” host Charlene Gonzales to get the truth out of John Prats, but in the end she managed to do it: Prats and former beauty queen Bianca Manalo are officially together.

Prats may have been reluctant to answer when the question was first thrown at him during the live studio interview on Sunday, but his smiles and indirect answers such as, “Basta ang alam ko, mahal na mahal ko ‘yung taong ‘yon” and “Kasi actually nag-promise talaga ‘ko na, you know, between the two of us, we want to keep it private,” were telling enough.

But finally, the actor-dancer said, “Siguro naman ‘di ba, kami na talaga. Siguro naman dahil hindi ko naman talaga mamahalin ng sobra-sobra kung hindi ko alam na gano’n na [‘yung] pinapakita niya sa ‘kin.”

However, Prats begged off to answer Gonzales question on the date of their anniversary, only opting to say, “Matagal pa.”

Prats and Manalo first met in early 2011 through the now-defunct noontime show, “Happy Yipee Yehey,” where they were both co-hosts. Despite Prats being in a relationship with singer Rachelle Ann Go at the time, it didn’t stop their co-hosts and the public from teasing and linking the two.

In the taped interview with Manalo aired right before Prats', she recalled at length, “Naaalala ko parang one week pa lang ang ‘Happy’ [‘Happy Yipee Yehey’] noon, nag-bonding kami. Parang party-party. Nagkatabi kami.

So gano’n nag-start. Ta’s hindi ko alam [kung paano] nag-end up, kami na ‘yung iniinis sa isa’t isa,” Manalo said.

Aware of Prats and Go’s relationship, Manalo was obviously hesitant.

“… Alam naman namin nu’ng mga panahon na ‘yon na may girlfriend siya, ‘di ba? At ayoko namang ma-tag ako na… hindi, hindi gano’n ang reputasyon ko ‘no,” she said.

The beauty queen-host was appreciative of the other’s efforts to apologize to her because of the trouble their pairing has brought. One time, the other had even littered her car’s interior with flower petals and a bouquet of flowers as a form of apology.

“Alam mo in fairness to him, parati siyang tumatawag. Pinupuntahan niya ‘ko sa studio. ‘Yung parang pinapakita niya sa ‘kin ’yung way na, ‘Sorry, pasensya ka na nadamay ka. Alam naman nating hindi totoo,’” she shared.

Prats and Go eventually broke up, for which Manalo denied accusations of her involvement.

On when she started noticing that Prats likes her, she said, “Pa-girl lang ako eh. Dinadamdam ko lang, kayo naman. Pero sobrang thankful [ako] kasi parang kung iisipin mo sa lahat ng gestures na ginagawa niya, parang, totoo ba ‘yan? Pero in fairness naman sa kanya, consistent siya.”

The beauty queen is thankful and happy for “kung anong meron kami ngayon, [‘yung] samahan namin together.”

Meanwhile, Prats shared what’s so special about his ladylove.

“Kung ano ‘yung nakikita niyo sa kanya sa ‘HYY’ – kung paano siya mag-host, kung paano siya magtititili, magsisisigaw, magsalita [at] umarte – gano’n talaga siya. ‘Yun ‘yung maganda kasi ilang beses na rin naman ako nadapa sa mga relationships.

“And ngayon I’m hoping na sana ito na kasi nakakapagod din naman na bago na naman, manliligaw ka na naman, pakilala mo na naman.

“But you know, ‘yung special sa kanya, kasi sobra siyang totoo. ‘Yun ang importante talaga na… Hindi na ‘ko nasu-surprise na meron pala siyang ganitong ugali, o meron pala siyang bad side. Talagang nilabas niya agad,” he said.

Right before his interview ended, Prats told Gonzales, “At totoo nga pala ‘yung sinabi ni Tito Aga [na] ‘yung mga beauty queens talaga masarap magmahal ha.”

Gonzales, wife of actor Aga Muhlach, is a former beauty queen as well.
