Clint Bondad trends after posting cryptic messages days after messaging Sam Milby

MANILA – Clint Bondad became a top trending topic on Twitter Philippines after he posted several cryptic messages on Instagram Story Wednesday night.

This comes just days after he sent a direct message to actor Sam Milby, asking if he wants to become his "client." Milby is currently in a relationship with Bondad’s ex-girlfriend, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

While Bondad’s posts seemed random, some of them contained the word “Sam” although it is unclear what he’s actually pertaining to.

He also posted that that "dating app" is not equivalent to "church," which made some netizens wonder if Bondad is alluding to how Milby and Gray met.

He also said in three consecutive posts that there’s no need to worry because he is only the ex.

Towards the latter part, Bondad posted “Become my Client, Friend.”

Bondad also wrote “P.S. I create Queens” followed by another post which says “Because I push Yiu Beyond all your Limits.”

Aside from Bondad, Gray also trended on Twitter early Thursday morning.

Will Sam Milby play gay roles?

MANILA - Is actor Sam Milby open to the idea of playing gay roles?

In an interview on ANC's "Headstart" on Friday, Milby said he has no problem with portraying gay roles.

He stressed, however, that he has his own limitations.

"If it's a gay role, I don't have a problem with that. I haven't seen 'Brokeback Mountain' but if it's very torrid na kissing scenes, I don't think I can go that far. But it will also depend on the script, if it's an acting piece," said Milby, who admitted that he is a fan of the late "Brokeback Mountain" star Heath Ledger.

When asked if he can go nude for a film, the actor replied: "It also depends on the role, if it's artistic, it really depends on that."

Currently, Milby is busy promoting the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel" with actress Eugene Domingo as the lead star.

Milby admitted he enjoyed doing the action scenes for the film, which will premiere this December 25.

"I love doing action, siyempre hindi mahilig dito sa Pilipinas na mag-action lately it's more of drama, romantic comedy. Ako, I love doing action, I did wrestling in high school, I did karate," he shared.

Meanwhile, Milby said he will do a new television series next year.

Did Derek Ramsay call Sam Milby gay?

MANILA – Actor Sam Milby said he believes Derek Ramsay, who denied calling the Kapamilya heartthrob “gay.”

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Milby said he has known Ramsay for a long time and he knows the actor would never make a slur like that.

“Siya ang tumawag sa akin. When he was explaining to me, natuwa ako kasi I know he wouldn’t say anything like that. Derek, I’ve known him for a long time. He knows me, he knows what I am, he knows what I’m not so I know he wouldn’t say anything like that,” he said.

While dismissing the report as a non-issue, Milby said he nonetheless appreciates the fact that Ramsay immediately called him to clear the matter.

“Even if he didn’t call me and I heard about it first, I wouldn’t have believed na he will say something like that. I know Derek. I know Derek is one of those guys who will be there for me. He’s a good friend,” he said.

Asked where he thinks the reports came from, Milby said: “I have no idea. I can’t think of anybody who can say that. Ganun talaga sa showbiz. You have issues that come out. Some of these you just have to laugh at kasi ganun talaga sa showbiz.”

Milby had just arrived in the Philippines on Wednesday after attending the premiere of his movie “Death March” at the Cannes International Film Festival in France.

Reports about Ramsay's alleged gay slur surfaced over the weekend and became a topic on the radio show, "Mismo," hosted by Jobert Sucaldito and Ahwel Paz on DZMM.

According to Sucaldito, a source told him that Ramsay was trying to impress a young actress-singer. When he found out that the girl is close to Milby, Ramsay reportedly asked the girl, "Why Sam? He is gay."

Sucaldito said Ramsay personally texted him to deny the story.

Sam Milby admits 'hanging out' with Shaina

MANILA, Philippines -- Actor Sam Milby on Wednesday admitted that he is "hanging out" with actress Shaina Magdayao but stressed that they are not yet a couple.

In an interview during the press conference for his newest series "Kahit Konting Pagtingin," Milby admitted that he likes Magdayao.

"Hindi po totoo na kami na. Honest ako sa mga kaibigan ko, sa lahat na, may crush ako sa kanya, paghanga sa kanya. But in terms na item kami or kami na, wala pang ganyan," Milby said.

The actor said he and Magdayao go out with some of their friends -- and never just the two of them.

"Friends lang kami ngayon. Naghahang-out kami kasama ang mga kaibigan niya. Never kaming lumabas na kami lang dalawa. Ayaw ko namang sabihin kung ano ang mangyayari basta friends kami muna, 'yun na," he said.

"Ako gusto kong sabihin na gusto ko siyang makilala ng mas mabuti. Hindi pa kami nag-uusap ng masyado, 'yung mga hangouts namin we don't get to talk that much," he added.

According to the former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate, what he likes most about Magdayao is her sweet personality.

"Maliban sa maganda siya ay maganda ang puso niya, maalaga sa trabaho niya, sa pamilya niya. She is a good person. But 'yun nga wala pa kaming something sa ngayon" he added.

Pressed to confirm if he is planning to court the actress, Milby told ABS-CBNnews.com: "Hindi pa naman. Minsan nagte-text kami. 'Yun nga, gusto ko siyang makilala para malaman kung liligawan ko siya o hindi."

The actor first revealed about his special friendship with Magdayao started last December.

Asked if he also asked permission from his close friend John Prats, who is an ex-boyfriend of Magdayao, Milby said: "Siyempre best friend ko 'yon so I want to make sure na kung sakaling manliligaw ako kay Shaina ay okay sa kanya. Best friend ko siya at kahit dati noong may paghanga ako kay Shaina, sinabi ko sa kanya. I'm very honest person."

Milby stressed he is not a kind of person who will sacrifice his friendship over a new relationship.

"Ayaw ko naman ng ganoon kaya nagtapat ako sa kanya at nagpaalam kung sakaling liligawin ko si Shaina ay okay ba sa kanya. ...Dahil sa wala pa namang anything sa amin ngayon ni Shaina, ang gusto kong siguruhin kung hindi okay sa kanya ay hindi ko itutuloy kasi wala pa naman kaming anything ngayon ni Shaina," he explained.

Right now, Milby is excited with his newest series "Kahit Konting Pagtingin" with Angeline Quinto as his newest leading lady.

The series also stars actor Paulo Avelino.

Pokwang enjoys kissing scenes with Sam

MANILA, Philippines - Comedienne Pokwang admitted that she "took advantage" of her leading man Sam Milby while filming Star Magic's 20th anniversary offering "24/7 In Love."

Pokwang said she enjoyed her kissing and bed scenes with Milby.

"One word: yummy. My God, 'yun na 'yon!

In the film, the comedienne plays Virgie, a 40-year old virgin, who meets a gigolo, Charles, played by Milby.

"24/7 In Love" will hit theaters nationwide on Wednesday, November 21.

Sam Milby opens up about Maja

MANILA, Philippines - Actor Sam Milby denied that he is now courting Maja Salvador, who recently broke up with actor Matteo Guidicelli. But the former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate refused to reject the possibility of a future relationship.

"Basta Maja and I are friends, basta we are friends right now. But I can't say na nothing will gonna happen in the future," Milby told reporters in a press launch of his endorsement, Dermablend, on Tuesday afternoon.

Milby, who stressed that he is single, said that he and the actress have remained okay even after his name cropped up after Salvador broke up with Guidicelli.

"We are OK. Basta we are friends. We worked together and we'd been friends for a while. And it's sad kasi with the breakup, you always get included in the issue. Dapat alam din ng mga tao na kasi nag-break na 'yung mga tao, they have their own lives now, they are free to date anybody. Hindi naman kailangan na kung sino ang dini-date, 'yun ang third party. Hindi dapat ganoon. They are free to date anyone," Milby said.

The actor said his relationship with Salvador wasn't affected by the rumors, especially since Salvador made it clear that he was not the third wheel that led to the separation.

"Kinlaro din niya na wala namang third party and I hope people will understand," he said.

This is not the first time Milby has dragged in a high-profile breakup. It will be recalled that Milby was also reported as the alleged third party in the breakup of KC Concepcion and Piolo Pascual.

"I don't feel bad. It's something that you have to accept naman here in the business. ...They make assumptions. Basta ang importante ay alam kong wala akong ginagawa, at alam ko ang tama. Sadly people have their opinions at lalabas naman ang totoo," he said.

His loss, John Lloyd's gain

Milby, who flew to the United States early this year in the hopes of making it in Hollywood, admitted that his absence in the local entertainment scene has hurt his popularity.

"Siyempre matagal na akong nawala sa primetime at nag-one movie lang ako last year. The thing is you have to accept na there will be a time ...lalo na ngayon at maraming bago. Ako seven years na this November na I'd been in the business. I think that's an accomplishment already. But you have to accept the fact na there's going to be someone else, someone new, someone different. You just have enjoy what you have," Milby told ABS-CBNnews.com.

But Milby said he has no regrets about pursuing his Hollywood dream -- even if it cost him a role in a major blockbuster hit.

Milby revealed that the role of JD in Star Cinema's "The Mistress," which was eventually given to John Lloyd Cruz, was originally offered to him.

"Actually 'The Mistress,' yun ang role ko and lahat ng people ay nanghihinayang kasi ang ganda ng movie. That was offered to me first. But ako, no (regrets). I think the experience that I had in the States was something I needed. And I'm still pursuing it. Hindi naman sa nag-give up na ako eh three months lang ako doon. That was my initial plan anyway, three months tapos pabalik-balik na ako doon. It was an amazing experience and I'm still pursuing it pa din," he said.

"Sila doon (sa U.S.) they are saying it's best if I stay there. Ako ayaw kong mawala 'yung what I have here. So balik-balik na lang. Ako I'm just excited na I went away for three months then I come back, then ABS-CBN is still giving me 'Against All Odds' and a new movie din. Seven years na ako sa business but they are still giving me projects,"
he said.

Currently, Milby is doing an independent film "Death March" for director Adolfo Alix.

It's Hollywood or bust for Sam Milby

MANILA, Philippines – Sam Milby admits that he is apprehensive about his plan to move to New York next month in order to pursue a career in Hollywood.

A big reason is that he dreads that his fans here might forget about him in his absence.

"Siyempre, nandun yung kaba," said he in a report on PEP. "Napaka-importante talaga na nakikita ka ng tao sa TV. So, it's something that you do fear.”

Despite his trepidation, Milby knows that the chance to shine in the international stage is something he can’t afford to pass up.

“Opportunities like this don't come for anyone," he acknowledged.

But as to what that “opportunity” actually is, Milby is keeping mum, admitting only to having done an “audition” that was “liked” by a “station.” Apparently, as Milby himself would reveal, nothing is concrete as yet in relation to an actual project.

“But still, the fact that the station really liked it [the audition], it's really a big thing na din,” he pointed out.

"I'm not expecting, but I'm very, very hopeful. Ayokong iniisip ng mga tao, 'Anong project ang gagawin ni Sam sa States, e, wala pa naman.'

Pero I just pray that I will get a project,” he added.

First thing, though, is that he has to find a talent agent to represent him.

"Yeah, one of the hardest things is finding an agency,” he mulled aloud.

When compared with actor Jericho Rosales, who, last year, successfully penetrated the international film market via the indie, “Subject: I Love You,” Milby was more than cordial.

"Expected naman ‘yun,” he said. "He's [Jericho] actually ahead of me kasi may nagawa na siyang Hollywood movie, so that's a big thing already. I'm very, very happy for him and I hope that things will work out for him too.

"Pero ayoko ng comparison. No matter who makes it to another country, that's our success, the Philippines, para yun sa buong Pilipinas."

Milby's New York stint will last for three months.
