Gelli speaks up on rumors hounding sister Janice

MANILA – Gelli de Belen spoke up in defense of her sister Janice, who was tagged as the reason behind the split of former celebrity couple Gerald Anderson and Maja Salvador.

Speaking to entertainment site Pep, Gelli said her sister deserves respect.

“I found it so unfair na isinali siya dun. I found it so malicious for somebody like Janice de Belen na isali sa ganun," she said.

“I know that they are close. Pero 'yung issue, siya ang dahilan? Ang taray! Wala na 'kong masabi! Ano ba? Respetuhin niyo naman si Janice de Belen sa lahat ng pinagdaanan niya,” she added.

Gelli said she never asked Janice about the issue because she knows the truth.

“Alam kong wala, hindi ko na tinanong,” Gelli said, as she seemed exasperated. “Pero on a lighter note, may asim pa! Pero that’s not how we should see it.”

But how would she react if one day, Janice indeed falls in love with a younger man?

Gelli said she will support anything that will make her sister happy.

Janice, Anderson and Salvador already clarified this issue in separate interviews.

All three denied that Janice was reason behind the break up, with Anderson and Salvador saying they have so much love and respect for the actress.

Janice portrayed Salvador's mother in "Ina, Kapatid, Anak," a year after she played Anderson's mom in the 2012 primetime series, "Budoy."

Gerald on breakup with Maja: I'm still healing

MANILA - Actor Gerald Anderson said that he is still "healing" following his breakup with actress Maja Salvador.

"Nasa healing process pa ako," Anderson said in an interview on the sidelines of a press conference for his newest endorsement, Cosmo Cee supplements, on Thursday.

The actor shared that aside from this family and friends, his busy work schedule helped him move on.

"Siyempre, you keep yourself busy. I mean, isa 'yon sa sikreto sa moving on with your life and moving forward. But mas importante 'yung personal, 'yung 'pag sa bahay ka," he said.

Anderson went on to say that he is trying to be a better person following the split.

"I've made mistakes in my life and I have to take responsibility for that. And every day of my life, siyempre, I will be the best man that I can. 'Yun lang po ang magagawa ko... Kapag sa breakup ay ayaw ko na pong pag-usapan 'yon at tapos na 'yon," he said.

When asked if there is someone new in his life, the actor replied: "Ni hindi pa dumadaan sa isip ko 'yun. Ang pinakaimportante sa akin ay providing for my family. 'Yun ang importante sa akin ngayon... feeling ko matagal-tagal pa 'yan."

Photo with Janice

Meanwhile, Anderson also spoke about his photo with actress Janice De Belen which he posted on Instagram early this week.

In the said post, the actor apologized to De Belen, who was rumored to be the reason behind his breakup with Salvador.

"Okay, ito na 'yung huling beses na magsasalita ako tungkol doon. Para sa mga hindi nakakaintindi o ano, wala pong kinalaman si Ate Janice sa kahit anong iniisip niyo o sa kahit anong sinasabi niyo," Anderson said. "So sana po ay huwag na kayong mandamay ng taong walang kinalaman. Please."

"Kung hindi niyo po maintindihan, siguro kailangan niyo si Nathaniel sa buhay niyo," he added, referring to the main character of his family-oriented series.

When prodded about rumors that he is insecure of Salvador's career, Anderson said: "Ay, ay, ayaw ko na po. Ayaw ko na pong dagdagan."

The actor also refused to say who initiated the breakup, and merely mentioned that he and Salvador remain friends.

Gerald tours Maja around GenSan hometown

MANILA – Gerald Anderson toured his girlfriend, actress Maja Salvador, in his home town in General Santos City where he spent his childhood.

Anderson shared this at the sidelines of the press conference of his upcoming movie “Halik Sa Hangin.”

Although it was not Salvador’s first time to visit the province, Anderson said: “Ipinakita ko lang kung saan ako lumaki. Nag-camping kami which is first time for me. Ang saya.”

The actor said he is also glad that Salvador is slowly getting closer to his family.

“Okay naman. Kumbaga, day by day naman. It's a process. Ganun talaga ang relasyon eh," he said.

What’s important, Anderson said, is that both of them are grateful for their relationship, as well as the opportunities coming their way.

“Sobra lang kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng blessings. And may panibago akong blessing sa simula pa lang ng taon. What else can I ask for?” he said, referring to “Halik Sa Hangin.”

Why Gerald won't be part of Maja's concert

MANILA -- Actress Maja Salvador's boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, won't be part of her first major concert, "MAJ: The Legal Performer," which will be held at the Music Museum on July 12.

"Gusto namin ihiwalay ang trabaho sa personal. Parang moment ko naman po ito," Salvador explained in a press conference for her concert on Wednesday.

But "The Legal Wife" star stressed that if Anderson will be free during her concert, she would ask the actor to watch the show.

"Pero 'yun nga depende kung may taping o wala. Kung siguro po ay wala siyang 'Dyesebel' taping, kasi everyday po sila nagte-taping ngayon ng Dyesebel," she said.

But she quickly added: "Kung manonood siya sana tago para po makapag-perform ako ng maigi."

In a recent interview, Anderson said he prefers to remain private when it comes to his love life.

To help keep their relationship strong, they also agreed not to work together in a project.

"Napag-usapan namin na ganoon talaga kasi mas maganda na ihiwalay namin 'yung trabaho sa relasyon namin para makatrabaho kami ng maigi," Salvador confirmed.

Salvador feels blessed to have a successful career and Anderson as her boyfriend.

"Isa siyang malaking blessing," Salvador said.

Maja says Anne inspired her to record album

MANILA - "The Legal Wife" star Maja Salvador said fellow actress Anne Curtis was one of her "inspirations" in recording her debut album titled "Believe."

Salvador said that just like Curtis, she also believes that "dreams do come true."

Curtis, a self-confessed non-singer, has held a number of concerts both in the Philippines and abroad, on top of her hit albums.

"Isa si Anne sa inspirations ko. Kasi sabi niya, 'dreams do come true.' Totoo po 'yun. Totoong totoo kasi kapag ikaw, tulad ng sinasabi ko lagi, kapag may isa kang pangarap, paniwalaan mo na mangyayari 'yon and it will come true," Salvador told reporters in a recent interview.

Salvador said she is also thankful to her boyfriend, actor Gerald Anderson, for inspiring her and supporting her newest project.

"Isa siya siyempre sa nagbibigay inspirasyon," she said. "In fairness to him, very supportive, bumili siya ng album.

She went on to express her appreciation to her handlers.

"Happy rin ako na supportive sa akin ang aking Star Magic family," she said.

Salvador is set to launch her debut album on "ASAP" this Sunday.

With "Believe," the actress-dancer hopes to be a "total performer."

"Gusto ko po maging total performer so makikita niyo po akong sumasayaw at kumakanta. So baka pwedeng ipa-combine na po 'yan ngayon. Sobrang mahal ko rin po ang pag-arte so actually after 'The Legal Wife,' magiging busy kami sa album tour," she said.

Maja speaks up on Gerald's 'affair'

MANILA -- Maja Salvador has finally addressed reports romantically linking her boyfriend, actor Gerald Anderson, to his co-star in the recently released action flick "On the Job."

The 24-year-old actress was asked for her comment at the sidelines of a press conference held Tuesday for her ongoing 10th anniversary concert series, "Maja Unveils @ 10."

As to whether she was affected by rumors alleging Anderson is having an affair, Salvador said, "Ano eh... Mahirap i-explain kasi, ano eh, na sa industriya kami at marami't maraming nali-link talaga."

The 24-year-old actor was paired with independent film star Dawn Jimenez in "On the Job," which featured the first-time partners in a sex scene.

Salvador was quick to laugh when asked if the daring scene affected her. "Artista kami, ano ba 'yon. It's part of the job, he's on the job," she said.

The "Impostor" star also shrugged off speculations that she and Jimenez are not in good terms, saying she even invited the neophyte actress to a special screening she had organized for "On the Job."

'100% trust'

While some time has passed since the film was shown in theaters, the rumor linking Jimenez and Anderson, a reporter noted, has yet to die down.

Asked if this has raised any doubt in her relationship with Anderson, Salvador said, "Kung may tiwala ka sa isang tao, panindigan mo lang 'yung tiwalang 'yun. Kasi mahirap pag mag-doubt ka sa isang taong malapit sa'yo."

Salvador said she never felt the need to confront Anderson about Jimenez, "Kasi mas importante ang actions sa akin kaysa sa mga sabi-sabi."

The actress was also made to address a specific allegation that Anderson has been spotted several times supposedly visiting Jimenez's condominium unit, to which Salvador simply responded, "Hindi ko alam."

She explained that she opts to place 100% trust in Anderson, regardless of rumors circulating of an alleged affair.

"Kailangan, oo. Ako, para sa akin po, sa umpisa ng relasyon, 'yung trust talaga. Kasi pag 'yon talaga ibigay mo, 'yun ang ibabalik sa'yo. Kung anong ibibigay mo, 'yun ang ibabalik sa'yo," she said.

Salvador shared she isn't particularly affected by persistent rumors that she has broken up with Anderson, pointing to her experience tackling intrigues throughout her first decade in showbiz.

"Gano'n naman eh, hindi mawawala 'yon. Halos lahat mag-aabang ng break-up niyo, kung sino 'yung susunod niyo. Basta ang pinaka-importante alam niyo sa isa't-isa na pinoprotektahan niyo ang isa't-isa at may tiwala kayo sa isa't-isa," she said.

As to what she considers to be a key to a strong relationship, Salvador said, "Syempre 'yung trust, 'yung love, at para sa akin, never ka dapat mag-doubt sa partner mo. Ang pinaka-importante sa akin kasi 'yung actions, hindi 'yung mga words."

What Gerald learned from Maja

MANILA - Actor Gerald Anderson opened up about his relationship with actress Maja Salvador.

In an interview aired on the ABS-CBN morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda" on Friday, Anderson shared what he believes are the reasons why his relationship with Salvador remains strong.

"You have to stay real, 'yung totoo... Hindi ko alam kung ano ang mayroon ako but isang goal sa buhay ko na I want to make someone happy," he said.

"I'm just happy that it's working," he added. "I get to work and my relationship is working, so okay naman. Masaya naman ako."

Anderson also noted how Salvador is a very sweet person.

"Mas malambing siya," he said.

Anderson's relationship with Salvador has attracted controversy as the latter used to be the best friend of his ex-girlfriend, actress Kim Chiu.

The actor shared the most important thing he learned from Salvador amid the controversy -- to fight for his happiness.

"Napakaimportante din kasi is to be happy, be content. Be happy and fight for what you want. Kung ano ang gusto mo, kung ano ang kailangan mo ay ipaglaban mo," he said.

Anderson is now promoting his film, "On The Job," and a new soap titled "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" which will premiere this Monday (September 2).

Kim open to reconciling with Maja

MANILA, Philippines -- Actress Kim Chiu is not closing her doors on possibility that she and actress Maja Salvador will become friends again.

"Yeah. Siguro huwag natin (ipilit) kasi it's not good parang pilit na 'sige na.' (Hindi maganda) kapag hindi buo ang puso," Chiu said in a taped interview on "KrisTV" that aired on Tuesday.

"Yung iba kasi may kanya-kanyang ang opinion as if sila ang nasa-posisyon mo hindi naman nila alam," she added.

A year ago also on "KrisTV," Chiu and Salvador became emotional as they expressed their love for each other as best of friends.

But in early January, Chiu expressed regret over her "wasted" friendship with Salvador, following reports of a blooming "relationship" between the "Thelma" actress and actor Gerald Anderson.

Chiu and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship.

Following speculations on the real score between them, Anderson finally admitted to entertainment magazine StarStudio in its June 2013 issue that he and Salvador are now officially a couple.

Early this month, Chiu said she has forgiven both her erstwhile best friend and ex-boyfriend, but added that it was "difficult to forget."

Salvador, on the other hand, admitted she and Chiu are not yet in talking terms but is hoping to patch things up with her former best friend.

The "KrisTV" interview was taped on June 17, weeks before Chiu's mother passed away.

Just last week, Salvador posted a Twitter message, seemingly in defense of Chiu over an article in a blog, insinuating she didn't take care of her mother when she was still alive.

Netizens took Salvador's plea for "respect" as a sign that she is reaching out to her erstwhile best friend.

What Gerald has learned from past loves

MANILA – If there is one thing Gerald Anderson has learned from his past relationships, it is to never hide the one he loves.

That's why he finally admitted that he is in a relationship with actress Maja Salvador.

“I would change not hiding the person I love. Wala akong pinagsisihan ni isang bagay sa buhay ko kasi we learn from it, but that, I would change,” he said in the June 2013 issue of StarStudio magazine.

Anderson said this was among the reasons he decided to end all speculations about the real score between him and Salvador. After all, Anderson said he sees no point in still keeping it from the public.

“Why should I hide this? Why should I hide the person I love? Why should I hide the person who gives me inspiration?” he asked.

He added: “'Yun 'yung advice ko to these new kids who are coming out, never hide your relationship. I think that’s why people have the perception na parang ‘Is this guy for real?’ That’s why they get the perception na ginagamit ko 'yung love team.”

The 24-year-old actor said that up to the day of the StarStudio interview , he still cannot believe that Salvador is already his girlfriend.

Since they began going out late last year, the “friendship” of Anderson and Salvador was immediately met with intrigues, especially since Salvador was, at the time, the best friend of actress Kim Chiu, the former girlfriend of the “Budoy” star.

But Anderson said the only way to proceed with their special relationship was to “keep moving.”

“Alam mo kung mag-asawa man 'yan, mag-girlfriend, magkaibigan, may mga bumps 'yan eh. They’ll always go through the bumps. Minsan may malalaking bumps, minsan may maliliiit na bumps. Alam niyo 'yung mga village na exclusive? Di ba ang lalaki ng bumps doon? Parang ganun. Minsan nandoon ka, minsan nandun ka lang sa EDSA, mga maliliit na bumps,” he explained.

“Ang pinakaimportante, you’re still driving at dirediretso ka. Kung sino man yung nakasakay sa kotse mo, just keep moving with that person. Huwag mo ilalagay sa reverse dahil kapag nilagay mo sa reverse eh di babalik ka lang sa hump,” he added.

After his StarStudio interview, Anderson said he doesn’t want to further discuss his relationship with Salvador.

Emotional Kim Chiu forgives Maja, Gerald

MANILA – Kim Chiu on Sunday said she has already forgiven her erstwhile best friend Maja Salvador and former boyfriend Gerald Anderson.

In January, Chiu expressed regret over her "wasted" friendship with Salvador, following reports of a blooming relationship between her "Ina Kapatid Anak" co-star and Anderson.

Salvador and Anderson have since openly expressed that they are special to each other.

Chiu and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship.

“Madaling magpatawad pero mahirap kalimutan yung ginawa nila sa iyo. Napatawad ko naman na sila,” Chiu said on “The Buzz” as tears welled up in her eyes.

Chiu also told "The Buzz" host Boy Abunda that the reason she is able to work with Salvador in the hit primetime series is because of her love for work.

“Professionalism siguro, number one, and sa pagmamahal ko sa trabaho ko kaya [nakakapagtrabaho kami],” she said.

Asked if she is also hoping that everything will be okay in the future, Chiu said: “Oo naman. Wala namang nangangarap magkaroon ng pangit na buhay. Pero time will tell and siguro hindi pa ngayon.”

Asked what she is praying for right now, Chiu said she asks God for strength.

“For God to give me more strength para maitayo ko ang sarili ko. Tinutulungan niya naman ako, alam ko naman iyon. I’m so thankful and I’m so blessed,” she said.

Amid the challenges that she faces everyday, Chiu said she is grateful that her family is always there to inspire her.

“Inspiration ko ang mga kapatid ko. Kaya naman ako pumasok sa showbiz dahil sa kanila. Sa lahat ng mga nangyayari, wala ka talagang mapagkakatiwalaang tao kundi ang pamilya mo. Na-prove ko iyon kasi sa lahat ng mga nangyayari, nandiyan ang mga kapatid ko,” she said.

She also thanks her fans who loyally defend her against her bashers.

“Dati [naaapektuhan ako]. But now, sige bahala kayo hindi ko naman kayo mapi-please lahat, pero inaaway sila ng mga fans ko. Nakakatawa minsan pero sobra akong nagpapasalamat dahil pinagtatanggol nila ako. Salamat sa pagmamahal,” she told Abunda.

Gerald reacts to Kim-Sarah 'friendship'

Actor addresses 'heartbreaker' tag

MANILA, Philippines – Gerald Anderson distanced himself from the reported growing friendship between two women previously romantically linked to him.

Shortly after his Best Actor win at the 10th Golden Screen Awards night on Friday, the 23-year-old Kapamilya actor addressed the publicized friendly encounter between Kim Chiu and Sarah Geronimo, who both had a romantic relationship with Anderson at different times.

"Wala na po ako doon. Silang dalawa na lang ang tanungin niyo. Pero we should be happy for each other, sa lahat," Anderson told reporters on Friday.

Last Sunday, photos of Chiu and Geronimo sharing a hug shortly after the finals night of the songwriting contest Handog P-Pop Love Songs made the rounds online.

Chiu, who was in a relationship with Anderson until 2010, referred to the meeting as unexpected. "Ang gaan sa pakiramdam," she said.

Geronimo, who was openly courted by the actor until their controversial falling out in August last year, said she had wanted to give Chiu a hug as a way of comforting her after a recent controversy involving Anderson and actress Maja Salvador.

Anderson has openly expressed his intentions to court Salvador, Chiu's former best friend and co-star in the drama series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak."

"Dapat naman tayong maging peaceful," Anderson said on Friday, when asked if he has likewise found "peace" like Chiu and Geronimo. “Kumbaga, ang dami ngang gulo sa buong mundo eh. Tayu-tayo pa."

The actor, however, refused to comment when asked if he wishes Salvador and Chiu to reconcile after their alleged falling out over him.

Asked for his reaction to being tagged as a "heartbreaker" and a "playboy," Anderson said, "Hindi ko masagot, dahil alam ko naman po 'yung totoo. Alam ko rin po [na] nakakagawa ako ng mali sa buhay ko."

“I’ve made mistakes, I’ve learned from [them]. Pero kumbaga, alam ko kung ano 'yung mali na 'yun. Iyon lang po ang masasabi ko," he said.

Sharing his intent to learn from his "mistakes," the actor added, "'Yung mga mata natin, nasa harapan ng ulo natin. Kasi you just have to look forward and not look backward, 'di ba? So just learn from mistakes and go forth.”

Xian: I don't feel the tension between Kim, Maja

MANILA, Philippines – Actor Xian Lim said he does not feel any tension between “Ina Kapatid Anak” lead stars Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador despite their alleged ongoing rift because of actor Gerald Anderson.

Anderson recently admitted his plans to pursue Salvador, the best friend of his former girlfriend Kim Chiu.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News after the finals night of Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs on Sunday, Lim vouched for the professionalism of the two actresses whenever they are on the set.

Lim, who is being romantically linked to Chiu, said the two women should be left alone.

“Sa akin wala naman akong nararamdaman eh. I guess 'yung nangyayari sa kanila, sa kanila na iyon. It doesn’t concert siguro any of us kasi it’s between them two kung ano man ang nangyayari sa kanila,” Lim said.

Asked if Chiu ever opened up to him about the matter, Lim said: “Wala akong business sa issue na iyon. I don’t have any connection with the issue.”

Lim said he is just hoping that things will soon be fixed between the two stars.

“Kahit ano pa iyan, mahirap pangunahan ang mga pangyayari. I guess we should just give them time. Let’s all give them time para maisip nila kung ano man ang pinagdadaanan nila,” he said.

Meanwhile, the actor said he is happy that Chiu appreciated his surprise to her on Valentine’s Day, which they spent on a yacht.

He said he really loves making Chiu feel special, not just on special occasions.

“Siguro bilang isang lalaki naman, you want your Valentine’s to be special. Hindi naman ako naniniwala na basta Valentine’s Day, we do something for the person. I do believe na every day, you make it special,” he said.

Photos with Maja are real, says Gerald

MANILA, Philippines -- Gerald Anderson has confirmed that photos of him with Maja Salvador making the rounds online are authentic.

"Opo, totoo 'yan, yes," the 23-year-old actor confirmed with "The Buzz" host Boy Abunda in an exclusive interview. The one-on-one interview will be aired in full on the entertainment talk show on Sunday.

Anderson is referring to recent "Instagram photos" of him with the 24-year-old actress, allegedly taken during trips to Davao and Albay, which have fueled rumors of a romantic relationship between the two Star Magic talents.

One photo, reportedly taken in Davao, shows Anderson and Salvador inside what appears to be a car.

In his taped interview with "The Buzz", the "Budoy" star confirmed he and the "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" actress did recently make a trip to the city, but for the promotion of "24/7 In Love".

The romantic-comedy film, released in November last year, features Anderson's reunion team-up with former girlfriend Kim Chiu. Salvador, on the other hand, was paired with Diether Ocampo in the Star Cinema project.

"May isang beses na nag-usap kami ni Maja, isang trip to Davao -- we were doing promotion for '24/7'," Anderson said. "Nag-usap kami, tinatanong ko siya kung anong magagandang vacation spots na pwede puntahan. Tapos yun sinabi niya Misimis Bay."

Misibis Bay is a resort-hotel in Albay.

In an earlier interview, Salvador explained that Misibis Bay was the venue for a bridal shower of her cousin.

"Ta's ako naman, sabi ko, 'Wow, mukhang exciting 'yan, masaya,'" Anderson said. "And then binanggit niya (Salvador), pupunta siya kasama mga pinsan niya, marami sila, kapatid niya, pamilya niya is going, dahil 'yun nga, bridal shower."

"Sabi ko, 'Kailan? I'll get a group of my friends, para marami tayo, so we can all go.' So ayun na, naayos na, so after ng vacation ko ng pamilya ko, we all went there," he said.

Also among the photos of Anderson and Salvador circulating online is one where the two are seen posing with a group of friends. The actor confirmed that the particular photo was taken at Misibis Bay.

Salvador earlier said she had also invited Chiu to the Albay resort, "hindi lang siya pwede kasi may family [vacation]."

Following reports of a blooming "relationship" between the two Kapamilya stars, supposedly on the basis of the circulating photos, Chiu expressed regret over her "wasted" friendship with Salvador.

Chiu and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship.

Salvador, known to be the best friend of Chiu, has chosen to keep mum on her alleged romantic relationship with Anderson. She said, however, that Chiu is knowledgeable of "what's been happening."

Chiu and Salvador currently co-star in the primetime series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak".

How Maja, Kim co-exist on series set

MANILA - Despite the controversy they're now embroiled in, Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu remain professional as co-stars in the drama series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak.

Janice de Belen, who co-stars with both actresses in the primetime soap, praised Salvador and Chiu for setting aside their alleged rift while on the set of the series.

"I have to give it to both of them. Because whatever is going on, sa dami ng mga nangyayari, nasasabi, they are both consummate professionals.

"That alone is admirable, kasi mahirap gawin 'yun na may mga damdamin kayo," de Belen said on Saturday during a live telecast of the entertainment talk show "Showbiz Inside Report," which she co-hosts.

The 44-year-old actress was prompted to weigh in on the issue, having formed close relationships with the personalities involved in the controversy.

De Belen portrays the adoptive mom of Salvador's character, and the biological mom of Chiu's character in "Ina, Kapatid, Anak."

She also played the adoptive mother of the title character in the defunct drama series "Budoy", which was portrayed by Gerald Anderson.

Anderson, whose relationship with Chiu ended in 2010, is now being romantically linked to Salvador.

Following reports of a blooming "relationship" between the two Kapamilya stars, supposedly on the basis of circulating photos showing Salvador and Anderson together, Chiu expressed regret over her "wasted" friendship with the actress.

Salvador, known to be the best friend of Chiu, has chosen to keep mum on her alleged romantic relationship with Anderson. She said, however, that Chiu knows "what's been happening."

"As far as I'm concerned, ito lang 'yun eh," de Belen said. "They're all adults, they're all consenting adults."

"Alam na siguro nila at this time, na whatever they do, may consequences 'yan. Mali or tama, whatever choices they make is their own decision, and I'm sure ready sila na harapin kung anuman 'yung darating," she said.

At this time, de Belen said there may still be "pain on both sides." However, the actress is confident that Salvador and Chiu will eventually reconcile.

"Wala talagang pwedeng magsabi kung tama sila o mali sila, kasi ang kalaban mo diyan damdamin eh, and all emotions are valid... Pero at some point, magiging maayos din 'yan," she said.

Anderson is expected to air his side on the controversy in a one-on-one interview with "The Buzz" host Boy Abunda. The full interview will be aired on the entertainment talk show on Sunday.

Piolo explains photo of him, Maja kissing

MANILA, Philippines -- Weeks after a photo of him and Maja Salvador apparently kissing circulated online, Piolo Pascual finally explained the story behind the captured moment.

The photo in question went viral some days after a video, which shows images of both Kapamilya talents inside a car, was posted in November on video-sharing site YouTube. In one photo, Pascual, 35, and Salvador, 24, appear to be intimate.

According to the description of the video, the photos were taken on November 24 at McKinley Hills in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.

"I was coming out of a run sa Sunlife last week tapos nag-'Star Magic Gives Back' concert kami," Pascual was quoted as saying by entertainment news site Push.com.ph.

"I was driving out of McKinley, nakita ko siya (Salvador), nagpaalam ako. Then she suddenly rode in my car tapos 'yun, may pumicture na we were going to kiss, tapos 'yun na," the actor added.

Although the photo may suggest a romantic relationship between the two, Pascual clarified that he is only friends with Salvador. Referring to the actress' former boyfriend, Pascual said, "I am friends with Matteo (Guidicelli) as well, and Maja is a nice girl as well, busy sa trabaho 'yun."

The "Apoy sa Dagat" star also laughed off jokes from their friends linking them as a couple. "Lokohan lang iyon, wala 'yun," he said.

Sam Milby opens up about Maja

MANILA, Philippines - Actor Sam Milby denied that he is now courting Maja Salvador, who recently broke up with actor Matteo Guidicelli. But the former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate refused to reject the possibility of a future relationship.

"Basta Maja and I are friends, basta we are friends right now. But I can't say na nothing will gonna happen in the future," Milby told reporters in a press launch of his endorsement, Dermablend, on Tuesday afternoon.

Milby, who stressed that he is single, said that he and the actress have remained okay even after his name cropped up after Salvador broke up with Guidicelli.

"We are OK. Basta we are friends. We worked together and we'd been friends for a while. And it's sad kasi with the breakup, you always get included in the issue. Dapat alam din ng mga tao na kasi nag-break na 'yung mga tao, they have their own lives now, they are free to date anybody. Hindi naman kailangan na kung sino ang dini-date, 'yun ang third party. Hindi dapat ganoon. They are free to date anyone," Milby said.

The actor said his relationship with Salvador wasn't affected by the rumors, especially since Salvador made it clear that he was not the third wheel that led to the separation.

"Kinlaro din niya na wala namang third party and I hope people will understand," he said.

This is not the first time Milby has dragged in a high-profile breakup. It will be recalled that Milby was also reported as the alleged third party in the breakup of KC Concepcion and Piolo Pascual.

"I don't feel bad. It's something that you have to accept naman here in the business. ...They make assumptions. Basta ang importante ay alam kong wala akong ginagawa, at alam ko ang tama. Sadly people have their opinions at lalabas naman ang totoo," he said.

His loss, John Lloyd's gain

Milby, who flew to the United States early this year in the hopes of making it in Hollywood, admitted that his absence in the local entertainment scene has hurt his popularity.

"Siyempre matagal na akong nawala sa primetime at nag-one movie lang ako last year. The thing is you have to accept na there will be a time ...lalo na ngayon at maraming bago. Ako seven years na this November na I'd been in the business. I think that's an accomplishment already. But you have to accept the fact na there's going to be someone else, someone new, someone different. You just have enjoy what you have," Milby told ABS-CBNnews.com.

But Milby said he has no regrets about pursuing his Hollywood dream -- even if it cost him a role in a major blockbuster hit.

Milby revealed that the role of JD in Star Cinema's "The Mistress," which was eventually given to John Lloyd Cruz, was originally offered to him.

"Actually 'The Mistress,' yun ang role ko and lahat ng people ay nanghihinayang kasi ang ganda ng movie. That was offered to me first. But ako, no (regrets). I think the experience that I had in the States was something I needed. And I'm still pursuing it. Hindi naman sa nag-give up na ako eh three months lang ako doon. That was my initial plan anyway, three months tapos pabalik-balik na ako doon. It was an amazing experience and I'm still pursuing it pa din," he said.

"Sila doon (sa U.S.) they are saying it's best if I stay there. Ako ayaw kong mawala 'yung what I have here. So balik-balik na lang. Ako I'm just excited na I went away for three months then I come back, then ABS-CBN is still giving me 'Against All Odds' and a new movie din. Seven years na ako sa business but they are still giving me projects,"
he said.

Currently, Milby is doing an independent film "Death March" for director Adolfo Alix.

Maja supports BF Matteo going ‘daring’

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Maja Salvador is all keyed up that her boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli is bound to expand his acting skills by taking on “mature” roles.

Salvador, who got a little sensual in her role in the Kapamilya TV series “Precious Hearts Romances [PHR] Presents Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin” herself, said she’s giving her Fil-Italian beau full support in his latest undertaking.

"I’m very excited na gagawa na siya ng mga gano’ng role,” Salvador was quoted as saying in a report by PEP posted on May 3.

Guidicelli is set to star in an upcoming “PHR” series titled “Isla” opposite budding actress Jessy Mendiola.

As to her going “sensual,” Salvador clarified she would only bare some skin if the role requires it; and if it does, then she would be ready to deliver.

“Kung sa next project kailangang maging mas sexy, hindi po ako tumatanggi,” she mused aloud.

She reasoned, “Hindi naman mabubuo ang isang love story kung walang ganung parte ng love story.”

Asked if she seeks her sweetheart’s approval whenever she considers projects, specifically the sexy ones, she joked, “Wala siyang magagawa, ako ang batas!”

On a serious note though, she said that she informs Guidicelli about such roles but her telling him isn’t really for his permission. “Hindi ko siya manager,” she stated.

However she emphasized that Guidicelli backed her when she took on the slightly daring role in “PHR,” adding, “Hindi lang siya nanonood.”

Urian nod

Meanwhile the 23-year-old actress was brimming with pride about her recent Best Actress nomination from the prestigious Gawad Urian for her film “Thelma.”

The dancer-TV Host shared that she was shocked upon learning that she was nominated alongside seasoned stars like Lilia Cuntapay (“Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay”), Eugene Domingo (“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank”), Isabel Lopez (“Cuchera”), Alessandra de Rossi (“Ka Oryang”), Cherie Pie Picache (“Isda”) and Diana Zubiri (“Bahay Bata”), among others.

“Kasi, kahit ma-nominate ka lang doon, para ka nang nanalo ng Best Actress talaga, eh,” she mused aloud.

She continued, "Iba ang feeling na ma-nominate ka, [ibig sabihin] may tiwala sila sa talent mo, may tiwala sila sa proyekto.”
