LOOK: Liza stuns on three covers of fashion magazine
MANILA - Teen star Liza Soberano is featured in not one, not two, but
three covers of a local fashion magazine, and she looks every bit as
stunning in each of them.
The 17-year-old Soberano is the cover girl of the September issue of Metro. It sees the "Forevermore" lead star pose in different locations around California such as Santa Clara, San Jose, and Los Angeles, dressed in stylish outfits from top American brands.
"Metro likes to create a story that goes deeper than just snapping a pretty photo in a foreign city," the magazine's editior-in-chief Sarah Meier said.
"We chose to bring Liza to California for our Big Fashion Issue because its tailor made to mesh with her rising career. California encapsulates Liza’s past and bright future," she added.
Online fans of Soberano were quick to complement the teen star, making the hashtag #MetrLovesLiza one of the top local trending topics on Twitter Thursday evening. It has generated more than 19,000 mentions.
"This shoot was so close to my heart. I can't wait for it to come out and for all of you to get to know me more," wrote Soberano on her Instagram account.
Here are the covers which prove that good things really do come in threes.

Atom Araullo graces magazine cover
MANILA – ABS-CBN News reporter Atom Araullo gets a makeover as he graces the cover of Mega Man, the men’s edition of the local fashion magazine Mega.
Araullo was photographed in Divisoria for the cover, where he is seen wearing a blue blazer and an orange polo paired with denim jeans.
A blurb on the magazine referred to Araullo as “that guy in the rain,” referring to his daringcoverage of super typhoon “Yolanda” (international name Haiyan) last year.
“We admit we caused traffic on the busy roads of Divisoria when we shot this month’s Mega Man cover. It wasn’t surprising that news reporter Atom Araullo literally stopped people in their tracks. With an undeniable charm and humor to boot, he has risen to become a leading man of sorts, albeit reluctantly,” a write-up on the magazine’s website read.
In a newspaper interview last December, Araullo declined the “Superman” tag given to him by netizens for braving the strong rains of “Yolanda” and helping residents cross deep floods.
“I’m not a hero. I was just one of the guys covering the storm,” he stressed.
Araullo, who started his television career via the ‘90s educational show “5 and Up,” was hailed by the lifestyle website Spot.ph in 2010 as the “cutest newsman” in the Philippines.

On the Rio de Janeiro shoot, Curtis wore a two-toned corset dress by Bo Parcon, a jacquard printed Eric delos Santos jacket worn as a skirt, and metallic gold pumps by Primadonna, which the actress endorses.
On its website, Mega dubbed its September edition as its “biggest issue” yet.
