How Marlon Stockinger won Pia's heart
MANILA – Not a lot of people know how Filipino-Swiss race car driver Marlon Stockinger won the heart of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
In an interview on “The Bottomline,” Wurtzbach confessed to host Boy Abunda that it was Stockinger’s efforts to fly across the globe just to get to know her more that made her fall for him.
“We’ve known each other for a while but we really got to know each other more when he went to visit me in New York. That’s where I really appreciated the effort because that’s the first time somebody has flown from the other side of the world to see me,” she said.
“Hindi naman niya alam kung ano ang mangyayari sa amin. He just wanted to get to know me more. I appreciate that. He really makes an effort. He knows how busy I am. He knows I can’t fly to him, then he flies to me,” she added.
Wurtzbach said she loves how Stockinger is comfortable with himself that he just lets her shine in fulfilling her job as Miss Universe.
“Sa totoo lang, mahirap makahanap ng lalaki na magiging komportable sa klase ng trabaho ko kasi it’s so easy to say na ‘Paano ka mahihirapan eh Miss Universe ka? I’m sure guys would be lining up.’ The truth is, there’s no line outside. Guys get intimidated also because of my personality,” she explained.
Wurtzbach also said that she feels at ease with Stockinger.
“He knows me as Pia. That’s good because I don’t have to hide anything from him. I can be completely honest. Yun talaga ang hinahanap ko sa lalaki,” she said.
When her schedule is not too hectic, Wutzbach said she also makes sure to watch Stockinger’s races. Pia admitted that she thinks Stockinger's job is dangerous, but added that she doesn't get nervous watching his races.
“Yes. I think it is but I don’t worry because I know he has control. But I do get emotional. I remember, one time I watched his race and he was doing so well and he got cut by this green Lamborghini. Nainis ako, ‘Oh my gosh nakakainis yung isang kotse na yun. Sino yun?’ I’m cheering for him. He is also cheering for me,” she said.
The pair first confirmed their relationship last Monday.

Multi-million offer for Pia's Miss Universe gown
MANILA – It seems that Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has gained tremendous popularity that some people are willing to pay millions of pesos for her winning blue gown.
The gown’s designer, Albert Andrada, said he has been offered an eight-figure sum of money for the gown Wurtzbach wore when she was crowned Miss Universe.
“Kinikilabutan ako sa presyo na binibigay sa akin. Masyadong malaki, it’s unbelievable,” he was quoted as saying in an article released by the entertainment website Push on Thursday.
Despite this, Andrada said he wants to keep the gown as the “only souvenir or remembrance that I have from Pia.”
“Siyempre anong mararamdaman ni Pia kung pagbibili ko ‘yan. Siyempre siya rin gusto niya ‘yan makita anytime na pagtanda niya nandiyan pa rin ‘yan,” he said.
When asked for comment about those who attempt to recreate Wurtzbach’s gown, the designer said: “That’s one way of them celebrating Pia kaya that’s fine with me.”
In a previous interview, Andrada said the intricate back design of Wurtzbach’s gown represented the Philippines in many ways.
This is the first time that a Filipino-made gown was worn by a Philippine bet to the Miss Universe pageant. In previous years, Colombian designers provided the outfit.

MANILA – Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines gave the American television program “Inside Edition” a quick tour of her apartment in New York.
Wurtzbach showed “Inside Edition” her living room with a view of Fifth Avenue and her kitchen which, she said, she has yet to use because of her busy schedule.
“I don’t really have the time to cook although I am a culinary graduate. I love to cook, I also love to eat,” she said.
The Filipina beauty queen also brought out her Miss Universe crown as well as the blue gown she used during the pageant.
When asked by “Inside Edition” about the idea of sharing the crown with Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, who was wrongly proclaimed winner by Steve Harvey, Wurtzbach said it’s “not a good idea.”

WATCH: Pia Wurtzbach struts her stuff in bikini
MANILA - A video of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach strutting her stuff in a two-piece bikini as she practices for the international beauty pageant has been making rounds online on Wednesday.
The short clip was originally uploaded on Instagram by Jonas Antonio Gaffud, who was Wurtzbach's trainer and mentor, more than six weeks ago. It has since made its way to Facebook and YouTube, and even caught the attention of FHM Philippines.
"Excuse us while we pick up our jaws from the floor," wrote the magazine as the caption to an article on Wurtzbach's stunning video posted on their Facebook page.
FHM Philippines later added on the comments section: "Guys, come on, easy on the pervy comments. It's a sexy video but for Pia's sake, keep calm and temper the testosterone level! She's our first Miss Universe in 42 years, and deserves better comments."
On Tuesday, Gaffud made headlines after he revealed that Miss Germany Sarah-Lorraine Riek, who has expressed her support for Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez following the controversial end to the pageant, lied to their group.

WATCH: Pia, Miss Colombia 2 weeks before pageant
The Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach and Colombia’s Ariadna Gutierrez didn’t see it coming.
The two were the last women standing in the Miss Universe 2015 pageant held in Las Vegas on Sunday (Monday in Manila).
Gutierrez was initially proclaimed Miss Universe, but the crown was transferred to Wurtzbach after host Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner.
It was an awkward moment for both contestants. But did you know that two weeks ago, Wurtzbach and Gutierrez were having fun together in a photo shoot?
In a video previously shared by Wurtzbach on her Instagram page, she and Gutierrez were seen getting close to each other and laughing together while posing for the camera.
Both beauty queens have accepted Harvey’s apology.
Wurtzbach considers her victory a “non-traditional crowning moment,” while Gutierrez stressed that she is happy despite the results, saying that “everything happens for a reason.”

Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez was initially named Miss Universe 2015, only for the crown to be taken away from her a few minutes later.
This as host Steve Harvey made a mistake in announcing the winner in this year’s pageant. It turned out that Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach, who was already satisfied with her first runner-up finish, was the real winner.
Despite the mix-up, Gutierrez said she is still happy with the results of the pageant.

WATCH: Host says sorry to Pia Wurtzbach over mix-up
Host Steve Harvey personally apologized to the Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach after he announced the wrong winner in the Miss Universe 2015 pageant held in Las Vegas on Sunday (Monday in Manila).
Harvey first proclaimed Colombia’s Ariadna Gutierrez as Miss Universe 2015, only to return on stage to say that he made a mistake.
It turned out that Wurtzbach, who was initially named first runner-up, is the real winner in the international pageant.
In a video posted by ABS-CBN News reporter Dyan Castillejo, Harvey is seen holding Wurtzbach’s hands as he apologized to the Filipina beauty queen.
“I apologize,” he said, to which Wurtzbach replied, “No, it’s fine.”
