Last month, Adarna praised Chiu, her fellow Cebuana, for quickly bouncing back after she was bullied online over her confusing statement while pleading for ABS-CBN to be allowed to return on air. 

Chiu described it as "one of the lowest points" of her life, before turning it into a positive, releasing a song which became a viral hit.

Adarna earlier told her followers to emulate Chiu.

“‘Yan si Kim Chiu, guys. ‘Yan ang dapat sundin na mindset. ‘Yan ang mindset of a true champion. Tingnan niyo gaano kabilis nag-bounce back,” Adarna said in Cebuano.

Adarna earned praises from her followers with some saying she continues to amaze them with her talent.

Some even requested for the actress to make an appearance on “ASAP Natin ‘To” and do a production number on the variety show.

However, this request won’t probably happen in the near future.

After going on hiatus from showbiz for nearly three years, Adarna recently said in an interview that she has no plans of returning to the limelight anytime soon, as she embraces an important role behind the cameras.

"I don't want to say, like, forever, right? But definitely, not in the next seven years," she said.

Her reason? "I want to be with my son in his formative years. I'm a very hands-on mom."

Adarna, 32, became a first-time mom during her time away from the screen. She gave birth to her son, Elias, with her former co-star John Lloyd Cruz in June 2018.

Davao hotel of Ellen Adarna's family used as coronavirus PUI accommodation

MANILA — A Davao hotel owned by the family of Ellen Adarna is being used as accommodation for persons under investigation (PUI) for possible COVID-19 infection, the actress said.

The former "Home Sweetie Home" star shared with her Instagram followers the development on Thursday, in response to comments that she appeared to carry on with her "happy, happy" activities amid the coronavirus crisis.

Adarna shared a screenshot of a message she received from another follower, who thanked her and her family for working with the local government of Davao City.

The screenshot indicated that Vice Mayor Sebastian Duterte, who is known to be Adarna's former flame, had requested that Queensland Hotel be temporarily used for PUI cases.

"To some haters messaging me about puro lang ako happy, happy and I'm not doing anything to help, here is my reply to you: Sebastian Duterte called me and asked if it was possible to use one of our establishments in Davao, and okay na. Solved na," Adarna wrote.

It was not immediately clear whether the hotel is being used for the entire quarantine period of Davao City's PUI.

As of Friday night, the Philippines has recorded 803 cases of COVID-19, with 9 additional fatalities that has brought the death toll to 54.

Cruz and Adarna have been the center of relationship rumors for weeks now. It began after their much-talked Bantayan island trip.


Adarna has previously gone on the record to say that both of them are not yet ready to enter into a new romance. 

Cruz's last relationship was with Angelica Panganiban, which ended in 2016. Adarna, on the other hand, broke up with her boyfriend, Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, back in December.

Speculation began sprouting after Adarna was cast in Cruz's weekend sitcom, "Home Sweetie Home."

In a recent interview, Adarna explained that both she and Cruz are not yet ready to enter a new relationship. "Hindi pa rin ready si kuya," she reasoned. "Marami rin iyong drama sa buhay. Parang ako rin!"

WATCH: 'World's Hottest Math Teacher' wants to meet Ellen Adarna

It seems that the "World's Hottest Math Teacher" is smitten with a Filipina beauty.

Pietro Boselli, more popularly known as the "World's Hottest Math Teacher," said in a video that he wants to meet local celebrity Ellen Adarna.

In an Instagram video posted by Danel Louise Calixto of W Talent management, Boselli is seen making a video greeting to Adarna.

"I did see your picture and I thought you were really beautiful," the 28-year-old PhD in mechanical engineering holder said in the video.

Boselli said he is looking forward to meeting Adarna soon.

"I am really looking forward to meeting you. Hopefully very soon. I don't know why they have not introduced us yet," he added.

Ellen, Baste broke up 'several times'

MANILA – Ellen Adarna broke up “several times” with presidential son Sebastian “Baste” Duterte before they parted ways for good, the actress revealed.

Adarna, who appears on the cover of the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Philippines, said in an interview with the magazine that she and Duterte went through a lot before reaching their “final breakup,” which involved not talking to each other for a month.

“We broke up several times, and then ‘yung final straw – ‘yung final breakup talaga na hindi kami nag-usap for maybe a month – ang dami kong realizations,” she said.

Adarna then had second thoughts about getting back together with the young Duterte, who is in a relationship with another woman.

“Kung babalikan ko siya, makakatulog ba ako sa gabi nang maayos? I don’t want that. And I don’t deserve that kasi binibigay ko naman lahat ‘pag nagmahal ako,” she said.

Last month, Duterte said he never broke up with his long-time girlfriend, Kate Necessario, amid rumors of his relationship with Adarna.

They have a two-year-old son named Yair.

Ellen Adarna admits relationship with foreigner

MANILA – For the first time, sexy star Ellen Adarna went on record to say that she is now in a relationship with a foreigner.

Adarna, however, refused to disclose any information about her special someone during her exclusive interview with entertainment site Push.

“Yes I am dating someone right now but he’s not Filipino. He’s not based here yet so there. I think mga afam ‘di naman sila ata nanliligaw. When you’re dating it’s clear na ‘tayo na’. Wala na 'yung ligaw-ligaw na part," she said. "It’s not like very Filipino na nililigawan ka pa.”

The actress revealed that they have been dating for a month now.

Meanwhile, Adarna also announced that she will start shooting a movie following the success of her series “Pasion de Amor.”

“Mag sho-shoot kami ng movie in third week of April ...so pahinga muna. Ang tagal tagal rin naming nag [teleserye] so pahinga muna,” she said.

Asked if she is still willing to be paired with Ejay Falcon in the future, she said: “Why not? ‘Di ba success ‘yung tandem namin? Of course gusto ko pero wala pa namang ino-offer na para sa aming dalawa.”

However, Adarna pointed out that she isn't keen on doing an action project.

“Actually happy ako kung ano [ang ibigay] pero action, hindi ko kaya. Hindi ako pang action but gusto ko drama or comedy,” she said.

How Ellen Adarna prepared for love scene with Dennis Trillo

MANILA – Ellen Adarna confessed she had to ask for a strong drink before shooting her love scenes with Dennis Trillo.

Adarna and Trillo have three intimate scenes in the upcoming movie “You’re Still the One,” which will hit theaters starting May 27.

Speaking on “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” last Friday, Adarna said Trillo has been her long-time crush and she felt really nervous doing love scenes with him.

“Kasi ang gwapo ni Dennis. Before pa [crush ko na siya] and yes, [I agreed to do the movie dahil sa kanya],” she explained. “When I saw him, sabi ko ‘Oh my God, ang gwapo. I need a drink.’ One shot lang naman para ma-relax kasi I was so tense.”

Adarna said she is the type of girl who gets shy whenever the person she likes is around.

“Hindi ko sinabi sa kanya na crush ko siya kasi nakakahiya. Nahihiya ako kapag crush ko eh. Pero baka narinig niya sa ibang tao,” she said.

Asked if she thinks Trillo is single, Adarna just smiled and said: “I don’t think so.”

Currently, Trillo is rumored to be rekindling his romance with former girlfriend, actress Jennylyn Mercado.

Adarna, on the other hand, chooses to remain single until she turns 30. The 27-year-old actress said she wants to be "selfish" for at least three more years.

She said she wants time for herself given that the last time she was without a partner was almost a decade ago.

Adarna was previously in a relationship with businessman Raoul Olbes.

Ejay, Ellen Adarna to heat up new soap

MANILA - Actor Ejay Falcon has already started working on his upcomimng series "Pasion de Amor," which also stars Coleen Garcia, Arci Muñoz, Ellen Adarna and Jake Cuenca.

"Nakapag-taping na po kami matagal na. Hinintay lang po namin si Jake Cuenca nakabalik na siya," Falcon told reporters.

In the series, a remake of the Colombian telenovela, Falcon will have Adarna as his leading lady.

"Ito ang pinakabago sa akin masasabi ko na grey charater siya pero ito ibang iba. Napanood niyo naman siguro. Napanood ko dati hindi pa ako artista noon, alam ko na din ang kwento," Falcon said.

Falcon said he really prepared for the new series and admitted that one of the requirements of the show is to have a sexy body.

"Matagal na pong pinaghandaan ito at ngayon ay tuloy-tuloy na. Paglabas ko pa lang ng 'PBB 'na cast na ako dito, 2009. Pinaghandaan namin, hindi lang ako, lahat kami pinaghandaan namin at yun ang unang requirement sa show na kailangan maganda po talaga ang katawan," he said.

Falcon said they are hoping to air 'Pasion de Amor' early next year.

'Moon of Desire' actress shrugs off sex goddess tag

MANILA - Ellen Adarna is used to all the attention.

Admittedly, however, the 26-year-old actress has yet to warm up to her title as "sex goddess," following a string of print and TV outings featuring her either nearly or completely naked.

Adarna was asked for her reaction to the tag during a recent press conference introducing her as the newest endorser of Bench Body, which featured the sexy star in a boxing-inspired number wearing only undergarments.

"I don't really think about it," she said. "Kung may photo shoot, okay lang kahit sexy or if may eksena na kailangang sexy, I'm just there to do it, and finish it, para matapos na. I mean, it's just a job for me."

Her Bench campaign dubbed "Get This Body," for example, shows her exercising in revealing outfits. A video series featuring her demo of different workouts -- plyometrics, jump rope, and kickboxing -- was released early this week.



Adarna has also been a consistent presence in the list of the "Sexiest Women" in the Philippines, as voted by readers of men's magazine FHM. This year, she ranked eighth, but was unable to attend a recent party celebrating the results of 13 million votes.

Explaining her absence, Adarna pointed to her hectic taping schedule for the ABS-CBN series "Moon of Desire," and recent trip to Japan with non-showbiz boyfriend Raoul Olbes.

"Kasi nasa Japan ako! Ganito 'yan -- months before my ticket was booked sa Japan," she said. "Supposedly, one week ako doon. Na-shorten lang dahil pinauwi ako ng soap, kasi hindi ko naman inakala na until July 'yung taping namin. Kasi 'yung Japan na 'yon, last year pa 'yon."

In previous editions of the FHM bash, Adarna gamely strutted on the catwalk wearing revealing outfits and was considered a crowd favorite.

Asked if she has ever dealt with aggressive fans, Adarna said: "So far naman I haven't dealt with any guy na binastos ako or anything. So for now, wala pa naman akong problema, basta huwag lang mangmanyak, I guess! I mean, you can look, but you can't touch."

Despite being recognized as an actress nowadays, Adarna said she is not closing her doors on photo shoots that will require nudity. Her last nude pictorial was for the June 2014 issue of fashion magazine Preview.

"It depends kung gusto ko 'yung project, then why not? Hindi naman porket nag-level up nang kaunti, choosy ka na. Gano'n? But it really depends sa concept," she said.

"She also projects a healthy and active lifestyle which Gionee is very active in pursuing,” Bangayan added.

Gionee has high expectations for the ELIFE S5.5 as he encourage Filipinos to visit its stores and request for a demonstration so they can experience the many features of the phone.

"I urge the consumers to try the ELIFE S5.5 so they can achieve the total experience,” Bangayan said, noting that Gionee is backed up by a strong research and development program.

Bangayan also boasted that Gionee has the capability to produce unique products in terms of features, noting that the earlier ELIFE phones have created a good impression among users.

Although the ELIFE S5.5 is a slim device (1.45.1mm x7.20 mm x 5.6mm), Oliver Sha, Gionee head of global narketing, said it packs power with an octa-core chipset at 1.7 gigahertz (GHz), a processing power that was initially only found in big laptops.

“With such strength, the ELIFE S5.5 is capable of playing high definition movies while using high-end apps simultaneously without any lags,” said Sha.

“Gionee also threw in the best capacity to density ratio in the ELIFE S5.5’s battery, which means it is slimmer but lasts longer than other smartphones. Multitasking has never been this fun and stylish,” added Sha.

For multimedia requirements, Sha said the ELIFE S5.5 has two high-resolution cameras. The primary has 13 megapixels and the front camera with five megapixels. While on autofocus function, Sha said the main camera guarantees to capture images and videos with the sharpness and vibrancy similar from the one taken with a professional camera. Other functions of the camera include geo-tagging, panorama and high dynamic range.

Furthermore, Sha said the front camera is equally enjoyable with its 95-degree ultra wide angle, capturing more people and sceneries in a selfie.
